Property Ratings at Montecito Pointe
So montecito pointe was recently taken over by a new company (Rk properties) and from the very beginning you could see a change. Work orders getting done promptly, Amenities changing to things we could actually use and were nice. I recommend highly now
Montecito Pointe over all is a great place with nice apartments. The two bedroom is nice and spacious. Killer service from the guy in the front office. I highly recommend checking it out.
So apparently the property was bought by another company recently... and what a change... things actually get fixed and done in a timely manner, the old "resident lounge" is actually usable and designed for the residents, its clean and the people in the office actually talk to you with respect. Whatever this new company is doing is working.

Hi there! Thank you so much for your five-star rating of Montecito Pointe Apartments. We appreciate you taking a moment to recognize the improvements we've been making around the community. Our residents deserve only the best! Happy New Year!
Within the 3 months of living here, I am already considering leaving and finding somewhere better. Anyone looking to live here should be aware of the following: 1. Nick will not respond to any of your emails or messages. He is the property manager and he has failed at his role. Any message sent to him will be read and discarded. He just simply does not care to deal with any problems after you sign the lease, and you will feel like you are talking to a wall. He leaves work early. 2. There WILL be miscommunication. Nick failed to speak to maintenance about our repairs. It has taken me several emails to get Nick to send people out to fix the things that were promised in our contract. They don't care to hear anyone's complains about the freezing swimming pool that cannot be used, or the lights on the stairwell that are broken. I spoke to a front desk person and explained that I cannot pay rent during the week due to work. He told me that it was fine - as long as I paid it within the first week. I later found out that this was a big lie, and when I went to pay it the first minute I could, I was charged a $100 late fee. I demanded to speak to Nick, but they told me they would charge me an additional fee if I decided to wait till the next day to speak to Nick. I was later sent a letter by a law office claiming to take legal action, and a note on my front door demanding that I vacate the property. This was all because rent was paid ONE day late. Miscommunication from their end resulted in me paying the late fee. 4. This place is dirty! Not only will you find trash littered throughout the property, you start to feel as though the only nice place is the front desk. The gate at the entrance has broken multiple times, and the gates on the sides rarely open in the morning. The pool is grimy, and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in years. I had to bother Nick many times so that he could get someone to power-hose our hallway - and that still wasn't done correctly! They hired a company to paint the apartments, and paint is now all over the kitchen floor, in the tub, on the carpet, and on the lights. It has completely ruined our apartment! If you're looking for an apartment where you won't be spending most of your time - live here! If you're looking for a home where you can destress, enjoy and feel welcomed - don't live here! RK Properties has done a terrible job so far, and Nick should NOT be leading this effort.

I highly recommend Montecito Pointe To anyone looking. It’s in a great location where they Just felt the new shopping center. Property itself is pretty nice and gated which is nice too.... I personally live in a two bedroom so I don’t know much about the one but the two bedroom is very spacious

Thank you for the great recommendation! We are happy to hear you are enjoying your apartment! If you should need anything, our door is always open.
My roommate and I moved in about a year ago and recently broke lease due to medical debts. During our time here we had problems with flooding from the upstairs apartment flowing down to ours, bugs, mold, pieces of the apartment breaking, and maintenance that more often than not just didn’t ever show up for repairs. The front desk was rarely helpful, and often not in the front office. The women have some of the worst attitudes I’ve ever had to deal with in a Front office staff. They act put out at any request and have a poor attitude when confronted with a complaint. Most recently, we found that the amount we were quoted by one front desk woman to break our lease will not be honored because she did not run it passed the Front office manager, Dana. Dana, as he turns out, has a lot of complaints against her for overcharging and dishonesty. So not only have they been condescending and rude about the matter, they’ve refused to give any leeway about it. So both of us feel like we’ve been lied to, and the apartment is just trying to squeeze as much money as they can. Avoid this place at all costs. It’s a scam.
Property Manager at Montecito Pointe, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your thoughts and I am sorry you had to leave us to due to medical debt. Unfortunately, we can only charge what is stated in the lease agreement which you signed and agreed to. With regards to the work orders, I am not seeing anything that is in our system with what you have mentioned above. We would like to work with you on this, so please contact us at your earliest convenience. Thank you Dana
A couple of the girls that work in the office are a bit rude. Esther in particular, it would be nice if they had better professionalism, which should be expected if you are working with the residents. I overheard telling potential residents about how tacky she thinks a residents window is for having foil lined over it. Yes maybe it does look tacky. However, she is in no position to be making those kinds of remarks to potential residents. Be professional! On the other hand, credit to Desiree for being professional and polite. This complex isn’t the cleanest either. I was out walking my dogs once and a woman on the third floor was throwing out her kitty litter over her balcony. What really concerns me is the maintenance workers. One in particular, his name is Francisco I believe. The guy is rude and makes me feel uneasy knowing that they come into your home when you are not there. It is understood that maintenance needs to enter your home for inspections every few months. However, I believe that they should hold a higher standard for maintence staff since they are entering people’s homes. This guy has been spotted in the apt parking lot drinking beers and hard liquor on the back of a truck with his friends. I would like to give credit to Marlon, he always greets people with a friendly attitude and picks up after the residents dogs. Which is unfortunate since the owners should be the ones to be picking up after their dogs. Overall this apartment complex has a lot of improvements to make in my opinion. I am counting down the days till I can leave here.
Property Manager at Montecito Pointe, Responded To This Review
Good afternoon, Thank you for bringing up your concerns with us. I too agree that our Residents need to pick up after their pets, and Marlon does an amazing job keeping our property clean. With your concerns for maintenance, we do hold our staff to the highest level of professionalism, so I do apologize that you overheard a conversation with a Resident regarding "foil on a window". My door is always open, so please feel free to come in a talk about some of the improvements you think we need to make. Thank you Dana
These people did not refund the security deposit, they overcharged us for repairs when our lease was up. Manager Diana said apartment required full paint which was $150 and all we had on the walls was small holes from picture frames and one TV on the wall. They were not willing to work with us and decrease the price. The manager Diana was very rude and unwilling to help, the other staff were more helpful. We were charged over $300 just for small fixes on the apartment, even though we left it in good conditions. Maintenance always took a while to show up and usually we had to put in a request several times before they showed up. If you decide to move here, we would recommend to fix up any holes in the wall no matter how small, because they charge $75 for patches, not including the paint. This place screwed us over when our lease was up.
Property Manager at Montecito Pointe, Responded To This Review
Good morning, Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, we do charge for any damages on the apartment after any move out, large or small. We do charge the Resident what the vendor charges us for the repairs, that is why we require a security deposit when you move in. Please feel free to call the office with any further questions. Thank you Dana
Property Manager at Montecito Pointe, Responded To This Review
Good morning, I do appreciate your comments but, Residents put a security deposit down at move in for this very reason, repairs in the apartment after you move out. Other than the holes in the apartment, you left it in good condition and we appreciate that. With regards to maintenance, I do not see any open work orders prior to you moving out, we usually get to any work orders within 48 hours of the call. I want to wish you the best of luck in your new home. Dana Vaughn Montecito Pointe Manager
Since I moved in I've had nothing but problems ! There were about lots of repairs that needed to be done and 2 months later they are still not done! The air conditioning was broken, loose light switch that was a shock hazard to my 3 yr old, pieces of laminate missing from the kitchen counter, the rack in my closet fell while hanging up clothes, and the master bedroom smelled like cigarette smoke. I have given up trying to get the counter fixed and have stocked up on air freshener for the smoke smell. Maintaince is a joke here. I can't wait until my lease is up and will be out of here!
First off they tried to break in my apt and they acted like it was our fault! They came and repair the damages on the door and then when I came home the windows were unlocked! We reported this and try to file charges against the guy who did the repairs but they protected him! And then said he relocated ! There were 5 break ins the same week and only able to steal in one, and of course the windows were unlock! Just think about it! Oh and Yazmin! Loves to be rude to people after they sign the contract ! Do not move to this place! Its beautiful and all but its not worth the rent if you cant be safe in your own place!
These apts are great if you want to pay California prices! Apartment Manager is a no show for events they plan. She thinks she can do whatever and not be held responsible. If these were the only apts in Vegas to rent, I would sleep in my car. Residents can not move out fast enough. With the exception of Yazmin, these apts get a big fat goose egg. Can't wait til my lease is up!
To say I some about my apartment I'd have to say rent is to high they never give u ur packages so personally my experience was bad and I will not be moving back when im on my own
Nice Pool, Beautiful View of the Red Rock Mountains and just the right amount away from the strip to get a normal neighborhood vibe, but close enough if you feel the need to be tourist for a day.
This is a nice area to live in and not a lot of noise. Safe area. The apartments are nice because they were all re done a few months ago. The pool is 24 hours and so is the gym which is nice. It also is a gated complex but only locks at night. Very close to grocery shopping and 25 mins from the Vegas strip. You can pay your rent online which is nice. The only real complaint I have is the office staff who are incompetent. For some reason the office staff never remember anything you tell them. I was promised a lot of things when I moved in and most of them have yet to be done and im 4 months into my lease. My calls and emails get forgotten. If the staff was more efficient in their job then I would have given this place 5 stars. Cant have everything tho right? If you don't mind the staff in the office then this is not a bad place to live.
Amenities are great. Had some issues with the staff not reporting my maintenance requests. Took three months but finally got things done when a new manager came on board. Apartment is nice but is over priced.
Love the area. Nice apartment, but slow maintenance and mediocre staff.
These apartments are far from the city if you want peace and quite, you got beautiful mountains around you. The apartment are nice and big inside and have great upgrades inside of them. Nice pool and great BBQ area to hang out at and relax with friends or family.
I was here 2 years then left and came back because I liked it so much. The only thing I'm having problems with now is maintenance!!!! I'm about to go crazy. It takes forever for them to come fix anything. I talked to the office already tons of times and even put everything in writing as they requested. Still nothing:( What should I do now? I have to go do my laundry somewhere and pay cause this is the 3rd time my washer breaks. Lights out, window cracked, bathroom sink broken. I'm not a person to go all crazy on them, so they do nothing. I need to go above management now I guess. I'm tired of calling them.
This is prior to my other review. Let the numbers speak for themselves. Don't believe what everyone tells you either.
This is my third apartment I've lived in around the area. By far the best one. Very clean and quite complex. Everyone from the leasing office and the maintance people are very friendly and helpful. Nothing but good things to say about this place! Very safe area!
Property Manager at Montecito Pointe, Responded To This Review
If you crave the subpar overpriced apartmet complex this place is for you!! From rude inconsiderate neighbors that the staff model themselves after to money hungry tenants that scrape every dime out of you, oh you wont be disappointed trust me!! I would recommend another complex like avanti and pavilions at least you get more bang for your buck alog with elbow room (incredibly small rooms in words) they at least care in a sense. Case and point 2 weeks to fix a washer and dryer unit and the dishwasher and this was when we moved in. Weigh your options and consider carefully people location is t everything. Oh and if you want to feel stupid ask DAWN for help or adice remember our paying these people to treat you like junk and she hits the ball out of the park!!
