Property Ratings at Montecito
This is a quiet, beautiful, and very clean apartment complex that we've enjoyed living in. The neighbors are nice and the whole place has a community feel to it. Stephanie and other staff who work there are very prompt, professional, and effective in processing paperwork and helping with any emergent issues. Highly recommend.
I JUST MOVED IN THIS WEEKEND & I GOTTA SAY THE WHOLE EXPERIENCE FROM BEGINNING TO END HAS BEEN VERY PLEASANT! WE ALL KNOW MOVING IS ALWAYS HARD & FOR MOST WE DONT LOOK FORWARD TO IT. STARTING WITH THE FRONT OFFICE WHO I PERSONALLY HAD THE PLEASURE OF WORKING WITH ARE JAIME & MIKE. JAIME WAS ON POINT WITH ALL OUR COMMUNICATION, MAKING IT VERY EASY EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. ON MY ARRIVAL YESTERDAY I WAS GREETED BY MIKE WHO WENT OUT OF HIS WAY TO ALSO MAKE IT VERY EASY TO GET MOVED IN PAINLESSLY!! THAT GUY IS THE BEST & HE DIDNT STOP THERE HE ALSO HELPED ME MOVE IN MY STUFF ALONG WITH A FEW MAINTENANCE GUYS GARY,JUAN & TERRY WHO I CANT SAY ENOUGH ARE AN INCREDIBLE BUNCH OF GUYS!! THESE MAINTENANCE GUYS ARE THE BACKBONE OF MONTECITO & I THINK AN APARTMENT COMMUNITY THAT HAS A GREAT STAFF IS THE FIRST SIGN OF AN AWESOME PLACE TO LIVE. I WOULD RECOMMEND TO ANYONE IF YOUR LOOKING FOR A NEW PLACE TO CALL HOME... MONTECITO IS THE PLACE!!! THIS WAS THE BEST MOVE OF MY ENTIRE LIFE.. THANK YOU JAIME, MIKE, GARY, JUAN & TERRY ???? GOD BLESS & TAKE CARE
Great value for the area. It's a Lewis property so the leasing office staff rotate frequently and are for the most part are clueless. Luckily Gary, head of maintenance, has stuck around and is super helpful. He knows the residents by name and does his best to the job done right the first time. 4 units per building, recently remolded, and fairly quiet by apartment standards as you definitely hear blunt sounds but not everything your neighbor is doing. 2 bedroom models have the value (size for price paid). Single car garages but none attached. The complex is on the smaller size (which is a big plus for similar Lewis communities that are like cookie cutter mazes) and a park is adjacent to complex on the south side. Decent sized pool but often crowded on weekends. Workout room is small with only cardio and lifting machines, no free weights, but open 24 hours. Pros: - Value for Size and Features - Quiet - Gary, Super helpful Maintenance Lead - Location in Rancho (close to VG, shopping, schools, 210, 15, 10 highways) - Adjacent Park - Stacked W/D in unit - Single car detached garages - Pool, saunas, and gym Cons: - Clueless leasing staff, need to talk to the property manager for anything besides paying rent. Typical reception, "I'm like new here, to this community that is, and only here for like um only two weeks helping out by just sitting at this desk, smiling, and basically doing nothing unless you're a new renter, so you'll have to come back most likely at a time when you're at work to speak with the manager, I think her name is Julie, or Sarah, or Jennifer, definitely one of those . . . " - Commute to LA /OC is pretty rough in rush hour (live and work local if you can!) - Water and Sewer bill is shared by building, not per person or included with rent as there is only 1 meter per building - Lewis loves to get their max rent increase every lease renewal no matter how long you've been a tenant or how down the market is - Mailman rarely gets the mail in the right box so get to know your neighbors
The best features of the montecito apartments has to be the walk in closets! What girl wouldn't want that. I also love the atmosphere. The complex tends to be pretty quiet an that is nice.
I have lived at Montecito apartments for over 3 years, and it has been a wonderful experience! Here are some of its great features: First of all, it is the prettiest apartment complex I’ve seen. I love the graceful architecture, consisting of white stucco buildings with lovely teal awnings. It’s like a little taste of Italy! All of this is nettled in a beautiful park-like setting that runs throughout the complex. Secondly, Montecito is very family-friendly and pet-friendly. There is a pleasant “aliveness” to this place. I always enjoy watching children playing and seeing people walking their dogs. Many of the people I’ve met here are very friendly. The “community” feel of this complex is a major highlight for me. As part of the Lewis Apartment Communities, we enjoy free events every month, held at our complex as well as at other Lewis apartments nearby. Some of our recent events: A Breakfast Club with waffles and toppings, a Lunch Club with assorted sandwiches, a Bingo Night with 3 different kinds of pie, a Beach Trip with hot dogs and smores, a Baskin-Robins Night, a Hawaiian Luau, a Bunco Night, and a Movie Night. They are lots of fun, with free food, and it’s a great way to meet other residents! Other great features: Montecito is an extremely well-run property. All of the staff are friendly and helpful. The maintenance staff fulfills service requests quickly and efficiently. The grounds are well-kept. (I should mention that due to the drought we’ve been having in California, Montecito has been doing their part to reduce the amount of water used on the property. Because of this, the grounds are not as green as usual, but I respect Montecito for helping with the drought situation. They have signs posted throughout the complex stating, “Pardon the Appearance of Our Landscape,” noting their help with the drought in compliance with State regulations.) The complex is safe and quiet. The apartments were recently remodeled, with granite counter tops, wood cabinets, and other upgrades. They look beautiful inside, and the layout is well-designed to be both practical and attractive. There are washers and dryers in every unit, and each apartment comes with a garage. In other reviews I’ve read about Montecito, some have said that they loved living here so much that they hated to leave (for such reasons as buying a house). For me, it goes a step further: I wish these apartments were condos, because I would buy one—I would love to make this my long-term home!
It's like a small village in the midst of a busy town. There is an abundance of greenery in many varieties and changes with the seasons. The grounds are kept in beautiful condition, & are family friendly for sports, strolling, & casual " get togethers" with neighbors and family. The office & maintenance staff are always available to answer questions & provide assistance when needed. Shopping is near by, parks are near by, & if I need to travel, the freeways are convenient. Absolutely a special place.
I have been living here since April 2009. In 2012 I was taken off work for a bad back injury. The office and Maintenance has been so helpful and understanding through this hardship with me. I have been dealing with financial hardship and it would be very helpful at this time for me to have a year free of rent. I would be able to catch up with other bills, and other obligations. I have always been on time with rent regardless of how much of a struggle it has been.
Great neighborhood, Top ranked schools, and all of the Inland Empire's best shopping and restaurants very near by. Nice and convenient place to live.
Montecito Apartments provide a quiet, welcoming environment. It offers a peaceful haven where you can relax on your patio, by the pool, or in one of the spas nestled throughout the property. It is located within minutes of local shops and restaurants, as well as, parks and trails. There is no excuse not to head out the door for a walk, run, or bike ride! There are many opportunities to socialize, as the property offers a variety of free or low cost community activities. Well maintained, convenient, a great place to call home.
Overall it is a good place to live. Clean (relatively), safe, for the most part quiet and in a great area. Need to improve the monitoring of a few people breaking the rules though, i.e. too many people living in 1 apartment, parking violations, etc.
Overall this apartment complex is cozy. It's located next to a park and shopping centers. The units have been updated and the top floor apartments have vaulted ceilings. The maintenance team is great and the parking is not too bad.
although its not perfect, the staff is very attentive , grounds are well kept, apartment is beautiful, love what the complex has to offer, although parking is an issue, its doable . quiet and pleasent homey feel we just signed for the next year if that means anything
The move in was just ok. No one showed me around, pointed out features, showed me where my mailbox or garage were. Since then though, everything is top notch. The maintenance team is amazing, the property switched to online billing, the grounds are kept well and the units are very nice.
Great location. Walking distance from Rancho Cucamonga's best dining and entertainment. Serene and clean, Montecito features unique architecture reminiscent of Southern California's coastal communities. High "pet" rent is the most notable drawback.
After ending a 25 year marriage and owning my home, the thought of apartment life was not the top of my list. Well Lewis Homes changed all that for me with their fantastic staff, beautiful apartment and fantastic surroundings. Could not imagine not living outside this wonderful community ever!!!!!!
It's almost a year that I've lived at Montecito and I've enjoyed every day here. It's a nice quite community to live in, the people are nice, if I've ever needed a repair done the office is sure to get the maintance department out to take care of any issue.
Most of us think that apartment living is comprised of large concrete bulilding without out a view. My experience has bee completely different I have trees outside most of my windows, birds singing and the faint sounds of the breeze blowing threw the air. My apartment has become my home, you really can charge your world if you change your apartment, at least your perception of it . Thanks??
When we decided to sell our home and downsize, the last thing I wanted to do was move into an apartment. After finding the perfect floorplan that included 2 master suites; an arts and crafts style architecture with vaulted ceilings; granite counter tops and upgraded everything I quickly changed my mind. The landscaping and pool/spa areas are very well maintained. The leasing staff and maintenance crew are all friendly and professional. The noise level in the complex is minimal and the area is well secured. Easy access to a beautiful bike path and walkway with multiple connecting city parks. We love it here!
Nice community, nice location. Great amenities....well maintained. Recent upgrades are a good plus.
This is a great apartment complex, amenities cater for both young and adult which consist of a gym, swimming pool, play area for kids, park like grounds with babecue areas. The staff are great friendly and very helpful with any problems you may have and get the job done in record time. Apartment is close to shopping, malls, metro, bus routes and airport. Great schools , walking trails and parks nearby. Apartment living at its best.
I've been a resident of Montecito Lewis apartments for almost two years and would definitely recommend Lewis apartments to someone looking. It's clean, qiuet and most of all as a young female I feel safe! Maintenance is quick at responding and fixing any problems. The only reason I take a star away is because lately the leasing office has had a lot of turn around and all the employees don't seem to be on the same page. You need a place to stay? You can't go wrong with Lewis apartments.
Moved to Montecito after living in a single family home for 20 years. I was concerned, but have found the complex to be very quiet and peaceful. I don't hear my neighbors, which amazes me. The apartment was remodeled just before I moved in and the kitchen reminds me of my former home, which I love. The staff has been very kind and responsive to any needs that may arise. Highly recommended.
Move to Montecito for great facilities, pool, gym, spas, basketball, and kids park. Garages and beautiful grounds. Friendly staff to meet all your needs. People who wave and smile. Come on be my neighbor.
Grass here used to be green and in proper order, not any more. Garages do not have charging ports for people with electric cars. But, i have lots of memories here, so I love living here.
