I lived here for one year, and the staff was kind. However, when we moved out, they charged us an extra $140.00 for cleaning and a $175.77 fee for damages/painting(without providing any evidence or proof of the damages). This was unexpected, as during our check-out inspection, they did not mention these charges, which was quite disappointing!

I like Montelena Apt ,i lived here 3years and i never see any other place nice like Montelena
I so enjoy living at the Montelena Apartments. The staff is very friendly and outgoing. From management to maintenance everyone works very hard to make us feel very comfortable.
The staff here are so humble and interactive with us, maintaining all the apartments to 100%. Maintained by the staff with the most extreme cleanliness. Almost immediately responding to maintenance request same day or next day. Im glad I ended up choosing Montelena apartments.

Wow, it's experiences like yours that really keep us motivated!
My neighbors are super nice and the area isnt a party zone. It is pretty quiet. Noisy from construction but that cant be helped. Would love to see recycling program develop. Very convenient location. Grounds are kept pretty clean.

Valet trash services will also pick up recyclables if they are separated and in a "recycle bag" (these are available for purchase at HEB, Walmart etc.). Living At Montelena has been great. No issues with parking the complex is quiet at night and neighbors are friendly. Im in love with my unit and the open courtyard great for kids and fur babies to run around. I would recommend living here.

The property is nice and open. There is so much parking. My husband gets to park in his same spot every day! It's clean and every one is so nice!! The staff takes pride in Montelena and it shows! We love it here. The upgraded kitchens are BEAUTIFUL! I got a really great rate on my apartment too, We shopped around and they were about $150.00 cheaper then anyone else! You have HEB and Target and Walmart down the street. I've told all my friends about Montelena.

My roommate and I took over a lease. Living here was decent. There was a leak from the garbage disposal that warped the wood underneath. They fixed the leak, but left the smelly rotting wood. Also, we had maintenance come in to get into the attic. When the took down the board in the ceiling they left a huge mess. There was white chips from the ceiling and insulation over my clothes and on the closet floor. They even left two big rusty nails out on the ground. Also, there were times when maintenance would come in and leave the lights on. My biggest complaint would be the charge for replacing the carpet when we moved out. My roommate and I lived there not even a year and got charged for all previous damage done to carpet. So if you rent here be aware!
I would highly recommend our apt to my friends and family. Everything is always done in a timely manner and all staff are always very professional.
While I appreciate that these apartments are a little more affordable than where I was, I have not been impressed. I feel like corners are cut in most areas. The counter tops in my bathrooms are bubbling and the appliances are sub-par. I will be a very good patron, will pay my rent on time and will not cause any issues. But, I felt the need to be honest. I am, however, excited about the painting that is going on outside. I love the colors and think it will help with the "curb appeal" of these apartments. I look forward to remaining here for awhile, if upgrades continue.
I would recommend this apartment because they are nice and clean so are the people very kid friendly. I wouldn?t recommend this apartment because one of their gates in the back building are broken so people who don?t live there cause easily get in the apartments, the front gate is NEVER closed that?s ridiculous. Also, when i lived i talked to about 5-10 people from when i moved from one apartment building to another they said they?ve had a break in the doors are easy to break down and also their windows are so thin on the 2nd and 3rd.. Their safety is a 0. Also, maintenance after hours sucks! When I lived there and go broken in to the maintenance guy came at 10pm and all he did was some tape and a trash bag. When I talked to the office about the break in they LIED. They said it wasn?t an issue but it was if I had a list of people who got broken in to.

Much better for those with back, neck, and leg disorders. The maintenance and management teams are on it and give me great confidence in their seeing to our special needs.
Noise. The UPS dist center construction has created a lot of noise. I am concerned that there is no noise barrier of any kind so noise will be worse once operations there begin.
I would because it?s a nice, open complex with lots of space for kids. The management is very helpful.

I’m very happy here, I’ve had nothing but good experiences. I mean, it’s a relatively large apartment complex, I have neighbors next to me, above me, and below me; noise is expected. As long as someone takes that into consideration, everything is fine! I really do like it here.
I would recommend this complex so clean, maintenance issues are always done on a timely matter. Leasing office personal are very professional & helpful.
First of all, these are not "luxury" apartments. The appliances are severely outdated and when we first got the apartment they were greasy like they hadn't been cleaned in months. There's paint splatters all over the hardwood floors, and the weather stripping on the doors is pathetic and lets crickets and spiders crawl in almost non stop. Maintenance is okay, the ladies in the office are wonderful, however don't expect any privacy as they like to do "inspections" multiple times every month. If you want an animal it's $400, which is about 10 times more expensive than actually adopting a pet and completely rediculous. Also if you have friends that would like to come over you have to register their cars or they get towed ($300 to get the car back by the way). The car's registration lasts 24 hours, but you can only have 5 cars registered at a time.
Maintenance and office workers are super nice, however the actual apartments are not. You can tell The people that lived in the apartment before me weren't very clean, and maintenance could've done a little bit of a better job fixing the walls before we moved in. our appliances are super outdated and run down, but they still work just not very well. The living space is great but the bedroom layouts aren't great. The closet door is extremely big for no reason. i'm on the first floor of a 3 bedroom apartment and we started having problems with crickets coming in underneath the door and windows. Maintenance also tends to bug you a lot when it comes time to do inspections. I also don't mind they have parking permits, however I do not like how we have to register our GUESTS for parking and we can only have a max of 5 people. There is plenty of parking in this complex so I don't feel the need to register my guest every. time. they come over.
My move in date is July 25, 2017 but so far I've had a great experience working with Jessica Miller. She's definitely a wonderful asset to your company.
The maintenance group as a whole are very friendly. Always saying high. Do great work when ever they come by.
I dislike the response rate of the management, regarding cleanileness of amenities in this area.
I would recommend someone to lookat newer communities at this same price point before looking at this apartment community.
The promptness, in my opinion, means a great deal when deciding on an apartment community. Whether or not the request was fulfilled accurately or not means a great deal also.
Love the management! The ladies in the office are awesome. Other residents, loud music, residents speeding through the gates..I dislike.
The issues I have come across are personal issues of the staff members really. I believe everyone has a bad day and mistakes happen however as I said before Montelena lost a very good employee in losing Luze. Unfortunately her replacement is just not the same kind of person. This should not be a reason to avoid Montelena. The apartment and complex itself were not bad to live in. We simply outgrew the space and the "shared community" lifestyle. We are in a home now and that is much more suitable for us. I will always recommend Montelena for those it suits. I will say the rntal rate for the amount of room is too high as well. We did also leave due to being able to rent a home with 600 more sq. ft. for only $75 more monthly. It is absolutely worth it.
The only reason I would not is the high rent! For that amount there needs to be garden tubs or something of that nature.
My experience with community personnel has been a positive one so far, the staff is always willing to assist you with any issues.
Ive lived for many years and I have dealt with the good and bad throughout the years with the many different managing companies.Overall they are nice apts for the price. With the current people managing it now are quick to respond with any issue that you may bring up to them. The maintenance guys are quick to respond as well. The only negative is I wish they would try to keep the breezeways a little bit cleaner( pressure wash them more often). I love the layouts and location of the apts.
The location of this property is great. It has much potential and the management is slowly making improvements. However, more could be done to consistently secure the property and provide better services to the residents. Particularly, the business center and the resident appreciation functions.
