Southwest Louisville, Kentucky and Valley Station comprise the world's "good deed capital." Friendly folk and downhome charm abound. Apartments in Valley Station lie 12 minutes away from the conveniences of downtown Louisville, although locals find plenty to do close to home. Trek over to Iroquois Park to enjoy basketball or tennis while the kids stay busy at the splash park.
The Iroquois Park Amphitheater draws in Valley Station residents for a dose of culture, with plays and concerts providing an active nightlife. For weekend chills, grab your ghost-hunting equipment and take a 10-minute drive to Waverly Hills. This purportedly haunted now-defunct sanatorium operates tours year round.

Property Ratings at Monteray Place
Office will never answer the phone, maintenance will never fix anything. Every unit has mold and water damage. Maintenance modified the water heater and their mistake cost us a huge water bill. Their attempt to "fix" it made the water heater bust and flood the apartment. Nothing was replaced, nothing was fixed. Carpet was ripped up in several places and smelled like mold instead of being replaced.
This apartment complex is filthy and not manger well at all. I lived there for a year and immediately couldn't wait for my lease to end! Valerie showed me a nice clean apt. With new carpet and new countertops. At the time I was 8 months pregnant expecting my first child. When I moved in it was filthy and the carpet had stains all over it. The cabinets had old food in them and the material on the front of the doors were peeling off. When I asked for them to shampoo the carpets since I was expecting she immediately got defensive and told me they were. So I politely asked for them to do it again. So she supposedly had someone come do it while I was at work the next day. So when I came home it was evident no one had been there to do so. I called once more to bring it to her attention and her response was you're living in an apt. The floor was suppose to be brown carpet but there where black staines everywhere. One of my window had a huge crack in it and they would never come to replace it. The dishwasher racks were covered in rust and she wouldn't replace that either. Our cars got broken into twice! My socks were always black on the bottom from the nasty carpet I even tried shampooing myself. The front door was away from the hinge so all my air was seeping out and my lge bill was always high. This place is just awful. I will never return not have anything good to say about it! Now they won't give me back my deposit. Dodging my phone calls and telling me I need to speak with different people. Management here is a joke!
The apartment units are very nice. Other adjectives would be peaceful and quiet. IF something goes wrong, mgmt. will come right away and take care of it. I found this apartment complex through Apartments.com - thank you. I plan on living here for many years to come!
