Property Ratings at Monterey Lake
If there’s an issue, you can NEVER get hold of the leasing office. They never answer phone calls or emails. Ceilings are 7-8ft tall.
Management doesn’t enforce policies to ensure the satisfaction and quality of living for its tenants. Complained and brought issues to managements attention and nothing is done. They hardly respond back in a timely manner. Rent is cheap, but with that comes low quality of living. Can’t wait to move out.
Location its great but Management its terrible. I got an eviction letter that wasnt mine at my door. Then one day they wipe out my bank acount by charching twice my 900 rent. And finally I moved and been waiting seven weeks for my refund and only excuses. The check is in the mail..... etc. The location its great. Apt leaks, mine flooded three times. The water pipes explode monthly and you could be without water all day. If you move there have extra money in the bank because take them forever to fix their mess.
The staff has always been kind and they try to help as much as they can. Prompt maintenance response. The Kitchen is a bit small, but for the area it's fairly priced. Conveniently located in the heart of the Orlando attractions and on the bus line. Screened in patios and newly remodeled buildings, pools, and laundry facilities.
These apartments are good, but they are cheap so you get what you pay for with the quality appearance. Never had any issues of disturbance other than kids by the pool and always feel safe. Bills are included which is a huge plus and one less thing to worry about. the A/C is OK, although vents looks kind of dirty! the bedrooms are a good size and good that they both have bathrooms! Apartment is compact but ideal for 2 people.
This apartment is in a great location near the center of Orlando. It has restaurants, bars, attractions, and your next door neighbor is the Sheriff so you couldn't be any safer. The staff is outstanding, always so helpful and kind to everyone. It has 4 pools and hot tubs, 2 volleyball courts, lots of space, and a brand new renovated gym. The apartments are well taken care of and the do constant upkeep to make sure they are always in tip-top shape (plus the apartments are virtually sound proof so that wonderful). All the utilities are included so you only have to pay one bill. All-in-All i couldn't be happier with my choice to live in Monterey Lakes
Management needs to improve communication as well as do a better job with all the remolding that's needed
The management is great, the apartment has everything to make you comfortable from furnished, to screen patios, to relaxing pool and hot tub. It has an awesome tropical grilling area and gazebo facing pond. Its like a secluded island in the city.
Sometimes its hard finding a decent place that allows pets. The deposit is pretty low, they just did a ton of renovations. All utilities are included, maintenance is pretty fast at getting problems solved. Been here 4 months now and seen no crime and pretty quiet.
Monterey Lakes is a former timeshare resort and maintains that atmosphere. The entire place has the feel of a vacation resort, from the pools and hot tubs to the tennis courts, we even have a small beach and covered picnic area on site. While living here you will find yourself right in the heart of the tourism district with excellent bus lines and even within walking distance of SeaWorld Orlando. You couldn't ask for a better location in Central Florida . The rent prices are unbelievable considering the location with two bedroom apartments for less than $1100 per month, including water, gas, trash, and electricity. High speed internet access and cable is available from Brighthouse Communications and most apartments are suitable for Dishnet and DirectTV. The best thing about the community is their attention to maintenance concerns. They do everything for you, even change light bulbs. There are somethings to keep in mind. The apartments are pretty small (under 1000 SqFt) but the space is used well. Many of the tenants here are younger and there are sometimes parties at the pool or some hanging out in the parking lot. I have not witnessed any crime and kids having a good time doesn't bother me but I know some people don't care for that. The laundry facilities are OK but they don't use standard coin operated machines and you have to buy an access card that you can load with money. The problem is the minimum purchase is $10 which can be more than you need. My only other issue is the AC system which is not really an AC system at all it is an air chiller (a high-tech swamp box from the best I can tell) It cools fine but in colder months (which we don't have a lot of in Florida) the system needs to be changed over to heat, this process takes about 24 hours and during that time you get neither hear or AC. Management is very good at regulating this as the switch over is for everyone not a one by one basis, but sometimes it seems they misjudge and you are left in a hot stuffy apartment or a cold apartment with no heat. All in all Monterey Lakes is a great place to live in a great location with a wonderful management staff in place. They really do think of everything. The few small problems are easily overlooked. I would recommend it to anyone.
I like parts of my complex and they are making improvements but it's too expensive for a 1 bedroom.
Is a big problem with the office staff. We are new here and plan to stay to finish our lease.Which is up in a year.
