Tucked in the Pomona Valley, Pomona is known for gorgeous mountainous views—especially those of Mount Baldy, the highest peak in the San Gabriel Mountains. Formerly a fruitful agricultural town, Pomona is now a busy city and a college town, home to California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, Western University of Health Sciences, and Western University College of Veterinary Medicine. Two additional college campuses, Claremont Colleges and Mount San Antonio College, are located just outside of the city. Pomona pays homage to its past be preserving historic buildings like the Fox Theater Pomona. The fully restored theater is surrounded by restaurants, pubs, shops, and art galleries in Downtown Pomona's Arts Colony.
Renters in Pomona are about 30 miles west of Downtown Los Angeles. If you prefer mass transit, take the train from Pomona Station or travel by car along Interstate 10.

This is the most horrible place to live in. 1) half my packages go missing 2) the trains are loud 3) some of the office staff are very rude 4) the pool is filthy beyond belief to the point where I have to clean it myself before I swim there 5) cars get broken into Do not live here

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your experience with us. We appreciate your kind words and hope you continue to enjoy your time at Monterey Station! Our team strives to provide and maintain a 5-star experience, so please let us know if we can ever be of assistance.
To anyone who described Monterey Station as “quiet” or “peaceful” I don’t know what alternate universe you’re living in. The community is HORRIBLE and DANGEROUS. Constant police presence and crime. I’ve seen people be harassed and attacked by homeless crackheads in the parking lot. Security is only there for decoration. Cars will be broken into and vandalised and nothing is done about it, security does NOTHING to stop it. My car was badly vandalised by a homeless crackhead one time, and in the time I’ve lived here I have had to call the police so many times to report criminal activity like people trying to steal catalytic converters. Also, a lot of the residents are bad neighbours and leave their trash everywhere and let their dogs poop in the hallways and elevator. The train is super loud and passes every hour, and most of the units don’t even have balconies. Also the price they’re asking for is so ridiculous considering the location. I DO NOT recommend living at Monterey Station at all.

Please contact us at your earliest convenience so that we can address your issues and rectify this in any way we can. We are open 7 days a week and happy to assist.
Horrible. Disgusting. Management terrible, no security at all. I called 911 12 times in 4 months living there. Don't waste your money

They claim to have hired security. I have never seen them. Every package I get delivered gets stolen. My car has been broken into 3 times in this complex in less than a year. Management closes help requests without providing a solution.
Car break ins, refusal to hire security, parking is non existent unless you pay extra.

Thank you for your review. We apologize you had to experience such a thing. As an update we have contracted a courtesy patrol that works on two shifts, During the day we have patrols and at night. Any assigned parking does have a fee and open parking is first come first served. If you have any other questions please feel free to contact us at any time. caresteam1@clarionmgmt.com
New management took over so all reviews that say 2019 or earlier are no longer valid. I have never lived in a worse complex. No parking, no security, constant car break ins and porch pirates. The Covid guidelines instituted make zero sense (forcing everyone to use an elevator by closing the stairwell access for the first floor). The complex is owned by a management company that doesn’t care.
Property Manager at Monterey Station, Responded To This Review
Thank you for your feedback. We would like to extend our apologies we can see the frustration regarding the issues you have described. We are working diligently to improve the experience at our community everyday. With the pandemic guidelines we have to follow slowly lifting and by contracting a day and night courtesy patrol, we have already seen a dramatic shift in our property for the better. We will take this feedback to heart so rest assured that we are listening. Thank you again.
I have been living here since 2018, in a one bedroom. No complaints then, apartment was great it was always cool in there didn't have to use the AC as much. This April I moved to a 2 bedroom and AC has never worked. We put in a work order maintenance came to see it and said leave it in the 70s and your apartment will cool off. No, it did not work. Recently with this heat wave we tried again to use the AC and instead of cooling the apt it heats it up. Why in the world am I waking up to 91 degrees at 0400 when it is 74 outside. We put in 2 work orders again, tried calling their emergency maintenance and it hung up on the 3rd ring. I guess it is not an emergency we can live in a sauna but you go to the leasing office and it's nice and cool in there God forbid they sweat their balls off like we are right now. They need to work comfortably but I can't live comfortably for the price they charge in P-town. If I live elsewhere for the hot days I wonder if I can deduct those days from my rent.
Both the office personnel and maintenance are great
Spacious and modern studios within a beautiful building. Love that cats are allowed.
amazing staff and amenities. may be pricey but its worth what youre paying for
Clean Units. Modern Look. Hardwood Floors in Common Areas is nice
Monterey Station is amazing! Tia, one of the staff, was accommodating and helpful, even though we got stuck in traffic and were running late. We walked in an loved how everything looked. The buildings look new, and the courtyards are gorgeous. We walked into our apartment and love the layout, colors, and appliances in there. Monterey Station is above and beyond our expectations!
Nice, downtown area newer apartments.
Everyone is so helpful and responsive. Great team!
Monterey Station is a nice, modern apartment community ideally located in downtown Pomona next to the Pomona Transit Center and Metrolink Station and has many modern amenities/conveniences. It's a great place especially for those whose social and professional lives take place all over the region as it is roughly equidistant to many places in the region like LA, Riverside, and San Bernardino.
It has great parking lot , nice gym , nice pool, nice game room nice fire pits and barbecues I love the place, the rooms barely hear any noises I love Monterey station if I could go back there I would . -Sheyla O
Good location, good interior has washer dryer and all applicances already, wish the town itself was not as bad or else this location would be perfect. Had some trouble during move in as some information was not told to us explicitly. Overall good experience so far
Safe and luxurious community. Also has many benefits to living here.
I have lived here for two weeks and have had my car broken into two times. The parking lot is not secure, there are no cameras, and no security. On top of the car theft, the staff don't respond to voicemails or calls in a timely manner. I don't want my car to get stolen, but I don't know what I can do to stop it living here.

We are SO sorry to hear about your situation. Were you able to come to our office to file an Incident Report with our management team? We'd love to speak more with you to see how we can make things right with you to the best of our ability.
Im happy to say that I am satisfied with service and mannerism of the staff.
Pretty nice place, not too bad.
I have no complaints about the Monterey Apartments. I love the fitness center!
Great place to call home.
I just moved in but already love living here
I like the overall aesthetics of the property, and that it is pet friendly.
I love living here. It is safe, quiet and management works hard to respond timely and keep the residents happy
Great place
The staff are okay but no matter what you ask, they will for sure not remember "forget" as they say. And god forbids you ask for a real maintenance person! Every time I called about the washer machine to complain that it chews my clothes and damaged a lot, the so called maintenance guy comes, turns on, he sees there is water poring then he checks his paper work as complete! Another ugly aspect is that in the summer the people don't obey the curfew at 10 pm no pool. The loud noise up passed midnight! Advice find another place to rent!
As a resident for 11 months, I will not be renewing my lease. I am a student and working professional with a small family in a one bedroom. I do not recommend this complex to people with families due to the lack of safety or concern from staff. The front office is quick to role out new changes in vendors, services, and management but really don't understand or care about the major issues of living here.
For what Monterey Station has to offer, I absolutely love living here. The price isn't too overbearing for the amenities they provide, and the office is usually very good at handling any issues in a timely fashion. Brandon especially has done an incredible job at making sure everything I need is taken care of. I love living here and plan to continue to live here for at least another year or two. The maintenance staff is courteous and great. The walls are tough, so you don't hear people's conversations or music in your own home, which is really nice. The appliances (in unit washer/dryer) are small, but effective and MUCH better than having to go to a community laundromat of sorts and pay for laundry. Overall, if you're looking for a decent location and solid structure, this is an excellent place to be. This is my first solo-apartment; several college students live here, not too many families, but I think that's just because of the area. My experience here has been, overall, wonderful, and I would absolutely recommend to anyone trying to maintain independence while on a budget. The dogs here are awesome, too.
Great place for a single, busy individual. Not recommended for couple or family for to size, safety, noise, location.
Parking nightmare plus waste dog everywhere
Management is extremely rude. You need to fill out a 30 day move out form even though your lease is ending or else they will charge you an extra 30 days. I missed the 30 day mark and was told by Tiana that I can pay just up to my lease date and then be marked on my credit report that I didn’t give a proper 30 day notice. So couple weeks past by and I pay my last paycheck and the other lady told me that the information was wrong and I need to pay an extra month. Bad information given out by people who are suppose to know and now I have to pay over 1000 dollars for a management mistake. Completely unprofessional and all they are doing is giving Tiana a talk. Not only are they misinforming but also extremely rude.
I've never wanted to move out of a place so badly. The grounds have gone downhill fast since the change of management. The owners got greedy and started charging for covered parking when it used to be free. There is a constant parking issue now and I have to wait in the front for hours when I get home doing circles looking for parking late at night. Just what anyone wants to do after working all day. Homeless people poop outside of my window (leads to the street which is totally unsafe due to area.) I have spoke with the office to clean this up for months because I can no longer open my windows due to the horrible smell. I have homeless people doing hard drugs feet from my place which the office just says to call the police every day and they will eventually go away, since for some reason the security guard we pay cannot do anything. I have counted at least a dozen break ins to cars since I moved here. We no longer have any guest parking due to the horrible parking situation caused by the horrible management. A friend of mine had to park next door at some shops where his car got towed. The indoors dumpsters are absolutely disgusting and have a serious rat issue. The dog park is just a shame. No one picks up the dog poop and is infested with fleas. They used to clean the grill areas but now I had to go and buy my own grill cleaning set because no one should cook on anything like that. The location next to the train tracks is as bad as you can imagine. If you have animals get ready for the restless behavior due to the train horns and building shaking. These apartments are made to absolutely fool you and sell their extremely high priced place for the area. I have never felt more unwanted in my life. Will absolutely move out as soon as my lease is up. Do not recommend this head ache to anyone. I can't believe i was so excited to move in here. Don't be fooled by the pretty lights and murals. This place is trash.
We just moved in about a week ago! Our family totally loves it here this is what you can call a home. Management was amazing and very helpful. The other staff members are also amazing and helpful. I would completely recommend this apartment to anyone that wants luxury with door trash pickup! What yes I said trash pickup right from you door. I was in shock when I found that out. I feel very safe and cozy here. I am glad I can call it our home! ?? Great Job Monterey Station Staff for making this place amazing.

Hi, we're so glad that we were able to go above and beyond your expectations! Thank you again for the great review!
New apartment great layout quality built building with excellent amenities the neighborhood is lacking and really needs to get cleaned up nothing is really close buy gotta drive everywhere
Great apartment! New build with stainless steel appliances. Love that w/d are in unit. Heated pool, clubhouse and fitness area are a plus. However the neighborhood is a bit sketchy....
All of the units in this complex are beautiful. Brand new, and nicely appointed. The pool and gym are both kept clean and easy to access. The office staff is friendly and attentive. However... There is one issue. Characters. This sports bar across the train tracks plays its music so loudly you can hear every word inside your apartment, with the windows closed, it is an experience to say the least. Don't lift that turn you off to the complex though. It is gorgeous, new, and only slightly noisy.
