Property Ratings at Montero at Dana Park (New)
Looks great on the outside but this is an old complex/property. The gates don't function correctly and are seemingly pointless for security. The doors to enter the complex haven’t worked in a while. The sauna hasn’t worked, although advertised. My biggest one, cockroaches are an issue here too! I’ve been in constant contact with management. They're aware of these issues, to date still haven't been fixed. The appliances are old as well and they have a sewer problem (water smell). This place isn’t cheap so it’s disappointing with all these small issues that add up. Needless to say I will not be renewing.

When we first moved here, we loved the management team and office staff. After 2.5 years, we had numerous issues with our upstairs neighbor that went ignored and unaddressed for 2 months. I’m talking 3-4 emails with no responses at all. Even with how much we enjoyed living here for the first 2 years, the last 4-5 months were nothing short of a nightmare. Hopefully Baron Properties figures out how to keep their long term tenants happy as I know a few that are following after left. So happy to be gone from this place!
I've lived at Montero at Dana Park for almost 2 years and absolutely love it! We researched apartments in Chandler, Gilbert, Tempe, and Mesa, and this was our favorite. The entrance is inviting and the grounds well cared for. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The other complexes seemed to have bug and/or scorpion issues. Montero is in a no scorpion zone. I'm on the 2nd floor and have not seen a single bug or scorpion. THAT is most important to me. Also, my apt is very nice and had been newly renovated just before I moved in. I'm very happy here and have friendly neighbors.
the staff is nice and looks presentable. the property always looks clean and the employees always respond in a timely manner when it comes to maintenance orders. good place.
So they decide to resurface the pool right after memorial weekend and say it will be open by July 1st. Well today is July 1st and of course it's not open!!!! This is ridiculous! I move into this place. Excuse I have four kids and it will be easy and cheap to go to the pool during summer but instead I have to pay to go to a public pool. And do they credit you money?? No way! John ignores emails and Luz just doesn't care. Horrible place to live. Oh and the community room has been under construction for over a year too! Don't rent here.
Staff always available to help. Lived here 5 years agoi. Moved then to a house.in new area being developed but decided to move back since we had to drive back and forth since some of the amenities and office had not been opened there. Guess what after looking around and seeing a lot of beautiful and new apartments build recently, we still decided our older apparent complex was better Proximaty to almost everything is key. Most of staff who used to work in this place then are gone but services are still excellent. Apartments much older now but state of repair and upgrades are up to date. Can't ask for more.
