Property Ratings at Monticello Square Apartments
Cheap paint peeling off the walls and an air conditioner that doesn’t work properly that we’ve requested service on multiple times literally EVERY year since we moved in. A “maintenance technician” giving “it’s hot” as the reason why my apartment won’t cool is NOT a sufficient answer. I could go on beyond this, but it’s a waste of time. Can’t move out of here fast enough!!
I lived here for almost 6 years. It’s an old building so it had some issues but the maintenance guys were always great. There are a lot of older tenants who the owners cater to, as they should. We enjoyed our time there. They are pretty strict with their rules but a a parent of a young child we appreciated that. If we ever had an issue it was resolved quickly. You won’t find a place as inexpensive, with utilities included, and square footage in Fredericksburg. When we ended up buying a house the management was very pleasant and we got or deposit back quickly.
Great place to live! Affordable rent - ALL UTILITIES INCLUDED! Convenient location, with close proximity to schools, hospital, downtown, shopping centers, mall; easy access to public transportation. Quiet and friendly neighbors. The maintenance crews are friendly, competent and helpful - in the past, they fixed my car over the weekend on two different occasions! Crews are responsive to any issues that might arise in the apartment. Ms. June, who staffs the leasing office, is very friendly, professional, and ready to assist. My wife and children sometimes stop at the leasing office to pay the rent and chat with her. They really enjoy her kindness and company. Overall, I am pleased with the property owner and all staff. I will recommend potential tenants to Monticello Apartments
The tenants here complain about EVERYTHING, i had my music playing from about 1-3:00pm while i was cleaning, and by 7:00 that night i had a noise complaint that said my music was so loud it sounded like sombody was “running”, also got a complaint that my dog was on the balcony WHILE I WAS HOME with the balcony door wide open so my dog could go in and out while she pleased. Moral of the story is nobody at these apartments know how to mind their own buisness.
This apartment complex is privately owned. It has little or no respect for its occupants.. Mold grows freely in the apartments and can take months to be taken care of, not removed. Maintenance men come and go and usually the good ones are let go and you are left to deal with the " I'm not sure whats wrong" men.....Do yourself a favor and look across the street to Belmont where that are all ethnic people, not just white. One family may pay a certain amount and another family may pay different rates for the exact apartment..... Don't move here.
I LOVE this apartment complex. We have lived here since January 2013 and have never once had a problem. The apartments aren't fancy, but they have wood floors and renovated bathrooms and kitchens, and they allow you to paint. The utilities are included in the rent and parking is free (and plentiful). Anytime we have needed maintenance, they came within 1-2 days and solved the problems efficiently. The property manager is the sweetest, most helpful woman you will ever meet. We have haven't had any issues with safety, or problems with the neighbors. Everyone is very friendly. The complex is also very well located, especially for the price. There is an elementary school and a police station right across the street. The hospital is practically next door, and Central Park is a stone's throw away. It's also within 3 minutes of UMW and there is a walking path to Eagle Village. Despite its central location, there isn't a lot of traffic noise. To top all of this off, it is very pet-friendly and the pet rent is cheap. I have personally recommended this place to everyone who will listen. It is an absolute steal for the price.
Monticello Square Apartments is a wonderful place to live. The manager June is kind and often goes out of her way to help when you need it. The maintenance crew is friendly and quick to fix any issue. The apartments are large and well laid out and the price is fantastic, especially considering the great location and amenities.
This apartment complex is often overlooked because of its aging exterior, but with older complexes sometimes comes unexpected surprises--both good and bad. First the good--this apartment is huge! The living room alone is twice the size of most apartment complex living rooms. Your master room will feel blissful compared to your previous abode. The people are friendly. The first impression in the office usually makes or breaks an apartment complex, and the people here definitely made it for me. After some initial issues while trying to find the perfect apartment and coming back to the office numerous times in one week, the woman in the office was still super friendly and helpful. Another plus? We're in walking distance to downtown AND Central Park for shopping. What more could you ask for? Now for the bad--no laundry in unit. Not a big deal, though, if you don't mind walking 100 ft to the next building. Really, that's it for being bad!
Prefect as it is close to shopping, I95, city transportation and the charm of old town Fredericksburg. Well maintained, spacious apartments that are very economical. Life is much easier to live here.
