Property Ratings at Monticello Square
I absolutely love my new town home. It’s been perfect so far for my son and myself. The lady in the front office is fantastic. Maintenance man is very nice and helpful as well. Everything is also close by. The community is quiet and We feel safe. I would recommend living here to my friends and family. We are definitely happy here.
Property Manager at Monticello Square, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to leave this awesome review. We think you are 5 Stars too!
I have lived here for many years and just recently relocated to another unit after Harvey. The patio door in the new unit had to be from "ancient times". It had so many gaps in the frame, the glass panel was popping out, was installed crookedly, had no screen and the lock was iffy at best. I reported this to management (KIM RULES!) and within a couple of weeks I had a brand new working locking air tight patio door with a screen. The contractors that installed it were very courteous, knowledgeable and cleaned up after themselves. Overall a wonderful experience.

Hi! We are always so excited to be able to help our residents; you all are such a pleasure! Thank you for your great review and compliments of our team, and we hope you enjoy your brand new door!!
I've lived at Monticello Square Apartments going on 10 years now. Each and every year there has been some improvement in the quality of the tenant base and appearance of the buildings and grounds. It should be noted though that over the last three or so years, overall living conditions have improved dramatically. This was the result of hiring the current manager, Kim. Totally professional and seasoned, Kim operates this complex like it should have been all this time. Because of her expertise, the tenant base has much improved, noisy weekends are a thing of the past and maintenance is most always "that day". It appears to me that she has convinced ownership that spending money on renovating laundry rooms, renovating parking areas and grounds as well as promoting special renovations to individual units at a very low cost is worth the effort. I know a lot of tenants here and they are hard working folks with families to raise and no ax to grind. If I had young children, I wouldn't hesitate to let them play in the renovated courtyards at the complex. Renting here is a good value and this complex has an outstanding location relative to Hwy. 59, Loop 610, IH 10 and the Westpark Tollway. Check this complex out, especially at night and on the weekends. Crickets!! Jim

Following Hurricane Harvey, the property manager immediately had contractors to start repairs. Kim, the property manager, takes pride in this property and provides customer service to tenants. Thank you Kim for all you do! I'm grateful to be living at Monticello Square.
Highly recommended. I moved in 2 years ago, and the difference in over the last year (after management change) is like night and day. I initially chose the property due to the location – one block from my son’s daycare, and literally just feet away from Bellaire (across the street). Due to the proximity to Bellaire, we essentially have double patrol with both Bellaire and Houston PDs, so safety is a huge factor in my reason for staying here. Over a year ago, I initially was not going to renew my lease (due to delay in maintenance requests, overall property maintenance, and lack of care from the office… if they were even there at all), then Kim was hired! For the 1 year she has been here, Kim has transformed this property to the possibly the most valuable Houston apartment property based on cost and location. Maintenance requests are addressed day of or next day of request. The grounds look amazing. The pool is inviting (she hosted a welcome summer pool party with free burgers, hot dogs, and gift card give aways!). They recently installed top-of-the line washers and dryers that handle really large loads. I just pulled into the parking lot today after work and noticed that it had all been re-painted – looks great. Improvements are made on a regular basis, and I love it. The property is clean, safe, and I’m so glad to call it home. I plan to renew my lease for the foreseeable future.
Monticello Square has been my home since 2009 and yes, we've had our share of Apt. Managers but the Manager now is exceptional! I make the maintenance requests online and even get notified by text that they've received it. When the request is completed I receive a text and email, which is awesome! There's a new pool and furniture. I especially love that they've upgraded the picnic areas and courtyards which I plan on having a barbecue soon. It's a small and safe community that I highly recommend! Monticello is my home and I love it!
To expensive n the water bill oh man almost 100 dollors a month. Dont let them full you. Parking is assigned only if you pay, n dont have company over because there is no where for them to park. I dont know where they get things done quick from. Manager is two face n if you dont pay your rent she well kick you out and charge you every last penny. My friend was thrown out of her apartment. They did not take her to court like they were supposed to. She was still in her apartment n they were already painting her apartment again. Her n her sons were put in the curve. Remember we have rights n she cannot try to go over them. Report to apartment association n lern your rights.
Love this place. Moved in 9 months ago and ever since there have been new and great upgrades. First this summer they installed a new pool and furniture - then new laundry facilities and now are upgrading all the picnic areas and new courtyards. It was nice to begin with! Great location and love all they have done. Safe place to call home.
