Morristown is a vibrant suburb brimming with historic character. Morristown is, perhaps, best known for being the home of Morristown National Historical Park – the site where General George Washington and troops of the Continental Army spent the coldest winter on record during the Revolutionary War.
But Morristown’s historic charm doesn’t end there. A vibrant downtown area personified by red-brick buildings stretches along South Street, boasting an array of modern shops, eateries, bars, boutiques, and more. Morristown touts a wide variety of apartments available for rent, from the ultra-modern to renovated lofts and everything in between.
Residents delight in Morristown’s many parks, theaters, and museums, ensuring there is always something to do close to home. Morristown is also accessible to I-287 and NJ Transit’s Morris and Essex Line, making it easy for residents to enjoy day trips and weekend getaways.

Property Ratings at Morris Crossing Townhouses
The apartments themselves are great. Maintenance is always responsive and helpful, amenities like the gym and proximity to downtown are perfect. Unfortunately, the walls/ceilings are incredibly thin. You can hear every little thing from all sides and if your neighbors aren't so neighborly, tough luck. I wish I could give a better review, but the noise makes it tough to live peacefully.
I lived here for 2 years and it was a great experience. The apartments are well maintained and maintenance always responded quickly. The property manager, Maria knows this place very well, is very responsive and takes care of it like it was her own. She knows all the tenants and goes above and beyond to meet everyone's needs. Love the location because it's tucked away for quite living but close enough to highways, shopping and the train station.
I lived at Morris Crossing for a total of 4 years. This is a great, quiet neighborhood that is very close to downtown Morristown. Plenty of street parking in addition to multiple parking lots. The property was recently upgraded by adding a Fitness Center and outdoor Grill area, in addition to being pet friendly. Property Management is very responsive and helpful (thanks Maria!). I would recommend living here.
This quaint pretty neighborhood is certainly welcoming upon sight. It’s located in a safe, quiet part of town. Parking as mentioned below can be a bit of a pain, however it isn’t enough to really bother me personally. The maitenence comes with decent time after calling, but my concern is the lighting - it gets VERY dark here at night and while it is safe it definitely should be lit better. Aside from that, neighbors are nice and welcoming and it’s a great place to be.
Maintenance is terrible, you have to call over and over and they give you all kind of excuses, takes weeks to fix something minor . This new administration it’s a disaster, has not clue
Morris Crossing certainly looks like a quaint neighborhood...and it is a bit of that. It's quiet for one - makes a great appearance from the outside BUT there are quite a few downsides. I recently left, with new management/ownership ( a frequent occurrence during the many years I was there) - the old reviews for maintenance, yes that was the case quite a few years ago. Parking is HORRENDOUS. Street parking is filled by 5pm during the week and forget about weekends (how that is possible is beyond me), the 2 back parking lots fill by 8pm - I swear, people are afraid to leave as there simply is NO parking to return (unless you want to park ALL the way down by 202 right near Alfred Vail school - YES, many do, especially at night). NOT to mention this is a public road, not private, which means the cops patrol is FREQUENTLY, mind you, this isn't to keep you safe but to dispense tickets, which also happens frequently (if you're too far off the curb or if you were desperate enough to park over the lines in the parking lot) and even worse is that being it's a public road, it's pretty much ignored when it snows - sooo get prepared to be blocked in. The other issue is the EXORBITANT electric costs which another reviewer pointed out. If you put on your heat during the winter, expect your bill to be $400 + (for a 1 bedrom). The apartments are OLD, and VERY dusty as their maintenance calls for them to "replace the filters" NOT clean airducts. While the outside looks cute - inside, you'll see where they have cut corners - I had molding throughout the apartment that seemed to be taken off the junk heap - chipped, like giant gashes out of it OR hair painted in it. Ceilings and walls cracking in many apartments; those with a washer/dryer - forget doing a full wash - maybe a few bras could fit and the laundry room is atrocious - mold and mildew in the washers, it's never cleaned and the price goes up!! Overall, they think they can get premium rents for an old building, with a decent facade but that's it. No amenities. Certainly can't compare with the properties in town that have gyms, gathering areas, business centers and more.
I have been in this complex for many years, and I can't imagine renting anywhere else, as Morris Crossing offers so much.. The maintenance staff responds immediately to a request, and they are friendly and very professional . The apartment size far exceeds any other in the area, and an extra bonus for me is to have a washer and dryer available inside Although the heat is costly, it is easy to keep at a reasonable price if used cautiously. The location is also great as it is close to the train station, pharmacies, banks and grocery stores. I would recommend Morris Crossing highly!
My fiance and I moved into our 1 bedroom apartment earlier this month and we love it so far! We had one or two minor things that needed to be fixed, but maintenance was on it within a day or two. Rooms are a great size and the layout is perfect. Love that the living space is a bit separate from the bedroom. We haven't had any problems with noise and our neighbors are very nice! The apartment was clean, with new carpets and freshly painted, neutral walls (not white!). There is plenty of storage and we LOVE the washer and dryer in unit. Dishwasher is great bonus too!

You're best option outside of Morristown proper/The Green; apartments are in great shape, maintenance requests are handled quickly and the grounds are very well maintained. Huge garages available if you have the need for one.
I have lived at Morris Crossing for over 18 months. It is a well-designed complex, proximal to all the major highways and within a few miles of Morristown, a charming historical and cultural community. I have been happy with my unit, lots of sunlight and nice neighbors. The grounds are well-maintained. The cost of heat is a drawback. I must keep my thermostat so low during the winter months, it is often uncomfortably cold, in order to save money on the electric heat. It would be a more social environment if there were a community center or other amenities that brought the residents together. The rents are competitive, but steep for a single professional. The staff and maintenance crew are very kind and available whenever you need them. The only reason I would consider leaving this complex would be to save money and have more social services within the complex. Deb Rosenblatt Bldg 22 Morris Crossing Morristown, NJ
I have been with this Apartment for over 20 years. In the last 6 years, the apartments were renovated, including a washer and dryer which is such a bonus. The management is on-site and exceptional. When there is an issue that needs attention, the maintenance staff arrives promptly and does an outstanding job. It is located in a beautiful location, and grocery stores, banks and restaurants are within walking distance. The grounds are kept pristine, it is a pet friendly complex which includes a dog park. I can't imagine living anywhere else.
Quaint and charming complex! Wonderful community a few minutes outside of Morristown Green. Close to restaurants, highways, shopping and near a local park. The grounds are beautiful and very well maintained. Our apartment is spacious and updated. A perfect place if you have a dog! Tons of fellow dog owners and recently added dog run.
