Centering on the Salt Lake City International Airport, Jordan Meadows sits less than five miles west of downtown Salt Lake City. Primarily an industrial neighborhood dotted with business that support the airport, it manages to provide a thriving cluster of residential, commercial, and retail options concentrated east of Interstate 215.
Residents choose the area for its low rent and home prices, surprisingly robust shopping and dining options, and -- perhaps most important -- its easy access to downtown, the city's public transportation system, and the airport.

Property Ratings at Morton Meadows Apartments
Lived here for more than five years, and have had no less than four management companies in that time. The first and third companies were alright. Apartment wasn't great, but it was cheap, and honestly I liked being so close to the city, but this area is unsafe, terrible, and full of bad people. On the third company's way out, they stopped answering maintenance requests. The current company is also a joke. Multiple requests for repairs to my oven which will not bake anything have been ignored, and I finally just gave up submitting them and use an air fryer instead. Huge roach problem that has not been at all addressed since the first management company. And I've been targeted for a string of thefts, beginning with my doormat and welcome wreath, then my motorcycle's mirrors, and now the ENTIRE BIKE. Easy enough to do since the keypad for the gate has been ripped off and not repaired for more than a year. Cameras don't work and no one cares. I have never been able to open my windows since I was moved to a downstairs apartment against my will. Not safe enough to do so unless you're right there watching them. Plus no screens in half of them. Neighbors don't pick up after their dogs. Smokers all over the place and sitting way too close to the doors so anyone needing inside had to walk through it, asthma be damned. Dogs are often running around off leash outside the gated dog area, which stresses out my LEASHED animal. Avoid if you can. Live literally anywhere else. This is by far the worst apartment I have ever had the misfortune of residing in.
Management here is awful and lied to us on multiple occasions. Maintenance requests would often get marked complete with no effort being made to solve the issue. At one point we were told there was no maintenance currently working there, only to be told later that there had always been someone. The emergency maintenance number in my experience is not answered, I had an electrical issue which could have resulted in a fire, and got no response. Ended up having to stay the night elsewhere as it was the middle of winter and I had no power whatsoever. My apartment was full of mold, turned out it was growing behind the walls and they did nothing other than paint some mold killer on the windows, which didn’t work. I also had a leak in the bathroom resulting in a puddle over the floor that just sat for a month or so. I also saw multiple cockroaches in my apartment. The area is not a good area, and security is a joke. The gate to acces the parking area was often stuck open, and the code to every apartment is the exact same, if the lock even works and the door doesn’t just open for anyone. At one point, a couple of homeless individuals were squatting in a closet in one of the apartments because the security measures are so useless. To top it off, my apartment was broken into, and I was told that the security cameras that were monitoring the area weren’t even working, and never had been. I’ve seen multiple drug deals happening In broad daylight, as well as people smoking weed in the laundry room. I can not recommend this place less. Worst, most stressful place I’ve ever been, not recommend under any circumstances. The entire experience was bad for my health, both physically due to the mold in every window, and my mental health, as I dealt with constant crap from the management. Seriously, this place is garbage.
The floor plan shows a washer dryer in unit, but there is not. There is a laundry facility, but it doesn't work. The washers are filled with trash, chip bags, solo cups, and it smells. The management is super flaky. And they added a bunch of extra charges that weren't on the website and no one told me about until I got the lease.
I just moved there in May, then I got sick! So I had no choice to take time off, I asked if they could work with me and they said yes, but then they sent there attorneys against me, they didn't have the guts to tell me in person or at least over the phone. Also poor plumbing, accusing of flushing baby wipes down the toilet because I have 4 year old. Plumbing so poor, washer and dryers to even work, high school kids smoke MJ in the laundry rooms as well, ppl in the neighborhood know the gate code and unload there trash in the garbage cans, so I have to be out soon, and they couldn't tell me that, Attorneys had to tell me, TAKE MY WORD FOR IT AWESOME TENANTS, live some place else. One more thing, if you decide to move here, congrats but Maintenance guys act like Owners ??
Been living here for 9 months. The price is nice but you definitely get what you pay for. When we signed the contract they said they had a small bug problem. That was definitely not true. They keep trying to get rid on the gross COCKROACH infest that has been here since we moved in. Its absolutely destructing. I have 2 small kids. And unless i personally call them 5 times a month they wont do anything about it. And whatever it is their doing is not working. Another thing is It gets VERY hot in this apartment. The air system does not travel past the living room. I do like how theirs a heater in each room. And lastly the noise outside travels so well that it becomes very annoying!!! All the time. But like i said you get what you pay for. I will definitely be moving. Only move here if its temporary.
This is a college student's dream, and that's basically it. While the complex itself is okay, the area around the complex is questionable. The residents in the houses around here tend to be loud, the side of the street is often treated as a garbage dump, and despite being a residential area, there are still a few homeless people near the park. On the inside, the unit itself is what you'd expect for this price. Some cracked paint, minor equipment faults, and a lot of dead bugs. You'll need a broom, as they come in and do pest treatments, but do nothing to dispose of the bugs they kill. And because there's almost no insulation, bugs find their way in. That's not to say all is lost, however. The current owner has been putting a lot of work into fixing these units, and asked us to jot down some things that need fixing, such as paint, crooked cabinet doors, etc. They seem to follow through on such problems, which is nice. And there are a lot of options for food right down the street. All in all, you're getting what you pay for. A barebones unit, no amenities, that will require some hard work before you can call it home.
