Do not live here. The amount of money you pay to live here is ridiculous for the amount of stuff they put you through. This place is dirty, you pay for an upgraded apartment where they obviously didn’t take any time doing it. Zero water pressure so don’t plan on enjoying a shower or bath. They have changed management multiple times for things to only get worse. Paint on everything, missing trim, insulation where an AC is suppose to be, mold growing everywhere. Always expect your car to be gone because they can never update you on any of the issues going on. False fire alarms multiple times a month that nobody comes to fix. Save yourself all the headaches and find somewhere else to live
This place needs to be shut down. It’s extremely dirty everything from the hallways to the laundry rooms to the parking lot. There are rats in the parking lot, not mice but RATS. Maintenance doesn’t come in a timely manner, they don’t give you a time frame at all. They always want to enter your home when you’re not there. The leasing office is the worst. They switch people in & out so often that no one knows what’s going on. Oh , don’t think you’re going to call or email them…they don’t respond. There’s nothing good about this place. Do not waste your time living here. It's roach infested. Overpopulated. The apartment complex does not care about your health or wellbeing. The fact they are renting out to people when apartments are falling apart is beyond me. I was fooled by pictures and one showing. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This has been an experience from hell. I have roaches crawling out of the trim by the walls. The apartment claimed to fix it multiple times but they obviously have done nothing. 7/27/23 Reminder if you're still thinking of renting here to avoid. They are jacking up prices and not fixing anything. I was without AC for 3 days in the high heat and no one answered. My house got to 90 degrees. On top of that they tow and don't give warning and give absolutely no help when doing so. The office staff is extremely rude and not helpful. If you want a roach infested apartment where they charge city pricing look no further. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place.

Numerous times this year, the office has been randomly closed without announcement or warning. This is particularly annoying because deliveries tend to go straight to the office, and end up locked down there for days at a time as the staff randomly just stops being available. If you need that delivery? Oh well, too bad for you, the staff won’t be unlocking their doors again for 3 days.
As a female living alone, I wouldn't say I felt safe. Dirty building hallways and garbage in every edge outside. Also don't be surprised if you see rats walking around in the parking lot.

I had an appointment booked at a specific time slot. I come to the appointment where no one is available in the front office for 20 mins. I contacted the number I had contacted previously three times with no answer, I left work early to look at this place and I was not even able to view the apartment. Would not recommend to anyone. Avoid at all costs

If I could give a 0 stars, I would! This place is horrible, overpriced, management is poor and doesn’t take care of buildings at all. Management also ignores all the complaints that residents would make.The hallways always smell bad, the area outside is always dirty, place is very noisy and overall awful. No visitors parking, what a joke! I wouldn’t recommend living here. Plus, when you try to leave this place for good, they will make sure to keep your deposit without any reason. They will make you pay for the carpet cleaning etc. So happy I left this horrible place. You can find better apartments for the price they offer.

I moved last year to one bedroom apartment renovated with my dog. Very satisfied with apartment and with staff. Lots of place to walk and I enjoy that. Have some problems when I move but everything was fixed. No problem at all . Menager Trisha was big help and Kathy, Christina and Cody always there to help . I was driving by searching for an apartment in March 2018. I stop at this Mount Prospect Greens and was greeted by Cody. He welcomed me and my boys. He gave us a tour of multiple units. I told him I needed time to think, the kids were excited so we went back and sign our lease from early. Cody has been honest and upfront with with pricing and availability. I wanted a certain style to my unit with cabinets and he delivered. We were supposed to moved in august but in the middle of July I asked if we could moved in earlier. Yes we were granted the opportunity yes there was a small rent but so far I am happy and my boys are happy. The service is great, they have a wonderful team. Cody is my go to person for everything one phone call away. When he is not there for answers Kathy steps right in. Great location everything is right there. Great customer service overall from this wonderful team. Cody please make sure you are not planning to leave or the ladies ( Kathy and the other lady I cant remember her name). Great maintenance team my only recommendation please give them shoe covers as I don't allow anyone to wear street shoes in my house. Tomoy

Have lived here 3 yrs and it just keeps getting worse and worse; won’t be renewing lease again. I am now living in my 3rd apt in this complex due to management refusing to repair my broken a/c so instead I had to switch apartments. Hallways are always dirty. They have literally not been cleaned for 3 wks because they were switching cleaning services so therefore instead of having anyone clean them, they let them go for wks. My hall smells of literal urine, is absolutely filthy, I don’t even want to walk on it and even pick up my pets so they don’t step on anything. Place has been under construction for years and fenced up for at least a year with no progress. Apartments look nice until you move in and start to look up close. Shower rod and towel rods fall of walls. Carpet doesn’t meet all the way to wall. Wood trim is old, broken and doesn’t reach the corners. Doors are old and have been painted over 100 times. Walls are painted very badly with missed spots and 100 coats of paint. Dirt and grime painted over on walls, wood trim and doors. Paint comes off walls with barely any scrubbing. Wood floor pieces don’t meet fully, gaps are between planks. A/C absolutely sucks, it will run all day and not cool off and apt stays very very cold in winter. Electric bill is outrageous and you pay for all utilities. They only pay a portion of water. Entire place floods when it rains. I would never recommend this place to anyone. It is completely over priced for what you get.

What to say... DON'T MOVE HERE! Gunshots rang out AGAIN last night, police everywhere. Shots heard often. Construction that never ends for amenities you pay for but will never use. Washers/ dryers are always broke. New hall carpet, new hall paint. Painters get paint all over everything. Door deco, new carpet, new tile. It's everywhere! Parking is a joke! You need a resident sticker to park here but can never find a spot because of people WITHOUT said sticker but never get towed. Office staff is less than friendly. All they want is your signature on a lease then one you are suckered how quickly they change. They are so fake to your face it's unbelievable. Good luck if you do sign. Just stay away from windows and in at night

I've been here for a few months now. The apartment itself on the inside is modern, which is livable. However, structurally this building is so old you can hear every footstep and conversation from those residing above you. It is more frustrating than I can describe in words - depends on time of day. Couldn't imagine having children try to sleep here and get schoolwork done. Also, they need more built in lighting. It is very difficult to get an uber/lyft from this building because you can only enter off Algonquin road. I've had several ride shares cancel on me without being able to find this location, as the property is fenced in. Compared to other places in nearby towns (Schaumburg), this is most modern and bang for your buck, but the area in general is overpriced for being so far from the city. Although I have no kids, it's a subpar school district too. I recommend looking elsewhere. The amenities are great, and improvements continue to be made. However, I feel as a resident I've become part of the construction and it has been a far from "luxurious experience." (Don't think your supposed to be allowed to do construction on weekends). Honestly I've had countless issues here, and have lived many places prior. This has been the least happy I have ever been living somewhere. Run, run far away.

Moved in about two months ago. Had my doubts about the the place and yet, decided to move in anyway. Two days after moving in, the bathroom ceiling is leaking water. A few days after that, the closet door falls on one of my children. And if that is enough, the following week - the sink fell out of it’s foundation (located in kitchen). Reported the issues to management and they put a temporary fix on all the occurrences. Management refuse to answer calls and when they do, it’s your fault that are happening to you. I’ve noticed that they take no responsibility for there actions and there behavior is inhuman. As a tenant, when you stand for the betterment, management will retaliate against you. If you decide to by pass all of the comments, positive or negative. Keep in mind that your intuition is correct. I wish I would have listened to the comments prior to moving in. It would have saved my family and I all the trouble... Village Green Property is the best thus far and management really do care about you over there... I’ve never experienced management staff who would give up there finances to help people like me out when the struggle is real. Best of luck to whoever is reading this that needs clarification. Just got a lease here. We have a beautiful updated apartment. I was worried about moving in here because it isn't the most appealing place, but I heard they are under renovation, so hopefully they change it to look a bit nicer. I know they are adding a pool and fitness center. There are alot of cons, like the hallways are gross and they definitely need to be updated. HORRIBLE pot holes. The laundry is $1.50 to dry and wash, which is expensive compared to other apartment complexes that cost only a $1.00, and they are better machines and there are only 2 dryers and 2 washers per floor, which is inconvenient. When it rains EVERYWHERE is flooded. I'm hoping they do alit of changes because even though my apartment is updated, there are alot of cons and I'm still figuring if I want to stay here and prob won't if they don't fix these things. They do only pay for water, rest utilities you pay for. I don't have any issues with bugs, which is good. Other than that it isn't a bad place.

I took a tour of the complex and I am absolutely turned off. First of all the entry way to get into the apartments are filthy...the hallways smell moldy and gross and the doors to enter the apartments are old and rotting. The apartments I viewed were beautiful and I would have considered renting, however I could not get over how disgusting the hallways were and how bad they smelled. Also outside the complex grass is dead, sidewalk is cracked and it's all around disgusting. If they're renovating they should seriously consider renovating the hallways, doors, mailboxes, and stair wells! As well as outside the building. After the viewing I went home and washed my hands about 6 times.
The Ladies in Management of The Greens are compassionate and caring people. It is a pleasure to walk into their office and see smiling faces. My apartment is an upgraded apartment and is beautiful. Dog Friendly community as well. Love living here. Sonja T

Pet friendly. All Hardwood floors. Very spacious and large closets. Rent is average for the area with close proximity to pretty much everything and great schools. We have received very quick responses to any maintenance needs. I highly recommend for families.

I came all the way from Joliet since nobody answered the phone. The lady there, at the "leasing office" ( it's a mobile home), was running around completely overwhelmed and disconnected...didn't bother to be courteous and help... They do not answer phone calls...Overpriced...the whole apartment complex looks like it's 1970 again!
