Shadow Glen, a residential community located 10 miles south of downtown Nashville, is located off Nolesnsville Pike. The oldest homes in the community were constructed in the 1980s, a few come from the 1990s, and hundreds were erected during the housing boom of the mid-2000s. Residents choose Shadow Glen for its low housing costs and proximity to dining and entertainment, while others select the area for its suburban setting yet reasonable commute to downtown Nashville.

Property Ratings at Mountain Brook
The WORSE staff at the office. My daughter is one year old and i been taking papers to try to get her on the lease and they still havent added her. The last 4 weeks I been trying to get a copy of my lease for my health insurance and they been coming up with excuses everyday. Today i went there as my health insurance has shut down on us for not showing proof of our lease the ladies were so disrespectful and yelling as i told them i need it today in a calm voice. I am a very calm person and it takes a lot for me to get angry. I tried to calm her down because she was yelling at me and got close to my face and so was another employee. I do not feel safe walking into that office again. I asked for higher up management contact she gave me a number and said call not like they care but i will try anyway. Very disappointing!
Last time I posted on here they apparently made some changes and they took action. Now still issues months later and these people just think this mess is a game. No people! You do have real live humans living here!!!! Why must our rent be so outrageous (area) and they don’t do anything? Parking lot looks a hot mess, people don’t know what they doing in the office, not professional at all and the lady they had here who I assume to be gone now Holly was the best manager they actually had here. The people in the office are never in there when they are supposed to be, nobody answers the phone so you have to go up there or send an email because usually they are not coming to work on time. This is bad business. If y’all want to stop getting these reviews then treat people right, plant some flowers, cut the trees/grass, fix the mailboxes (we live close to Brentwood)!!!! Be courteous and fix people blinds and then if they tear them up they fix it. Get the community involved (kids) something. Fix the reviews instead of getting these low stars. This is almost becoming last resort and do know for those that are reading that “we invisible humans also known as residents live here becaue Nashville is overcrowded.” Elmington Property Management please get this community right. Being Holly back because at least she was one manager who was respectful and actually seemed to care about the residents. This place is a joke. To think I rarely post things and now I’ve posted two different reviews. Oh and big ups to the person about the parking. Like I live here and have to park wherever I can find space. Ugh! This mess is a for real joke.
Property Manager at Mountain Brook, Responded To This Review
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'll discuss your concerns with the Regional Manager. We value all of our Residents, and always strive to provide a 5-Star experience. We appreciate you making Mountain Brook home.
I’ve been living here for a while and I appreciate he persons comment about the manager. I am not sure if we have yet encountered any manager that have been respectful to the residents yet. Rent is expensive and the community looks horrible. Now, the most frustrating thing here is the parking. If you get home after 5 good luck finding parking. You might as well park on the street. I have had no issues with parking as much as now. I know several reesidents complained about parking and nothing had beeen done yet. It’s like people are randomly moving in with other residents and that’s adding additional cars to our already compacted parking lot. They should have them numbered Parking since we are allowed two parking spots and a designated guest parking. The people next door get cars to fix them and take about 7 spots alone. Because we don’t have parking which really I feel I should be able to park right outside my door, but usually have to park doors down it’s ridiculous. Management need to do something about this ASAP and number the lots. For all the money we pay we should be able to have our two spots. And by the way people you’re only allowed two spaces not more.
The only reason this property got a 1 star review is because I had to mark it otherwise it would have got none. Before ever moving here the management was fairly decent and then things got real. I have never seen such rude and unprofessional people in my life. Needless to say that person is not here any more. I can not say how many people have been here in the office since moving here. The only person who really was respectful and actually listen was Erica and she’s the regional manager so she no longer comes around. She let us know about the manager who is in the office now Eric and said that he would take care of the residents. Well let’s just say he started off cool and I am not sure what happened, but he is one of the most unprofessional managers ever. He talks to residents like he has no type of home training, always making threats to residents and the sad part about it is no matter what you say to anyone about how he treats residents It does not matter which is why he feels he can do it. Unfortunately Nashville is becoming so overcrowded that it’s hard to find places to live that’s somewhat considered suitable to live so we as residents just deal. I sure hope that I will be lucky to find somewhere else to go after my lease is up because nobody and I mean nobody has no right to be treated the way he treats people. He’s truly a bully and abuses his power as a manager. Sadly, I am not the only resident to feel that way. They should train staff under him so that only they can deal with the residents and he assist them or he needs to be trained on how to be professional. If I was his boss he would be FIRED immediately.
