Located about 15 miles east of Downtown Portland, the Mount Hood neighborhood is famous for having some of the most scenic views in the Portland area. Fans of the outdoors take in scenes of thick pine tree forests, the waters of the Sandy River, and the neighborhood's crowning jewel: Mount Hood. Locals and visitors flock to the mountain all year long for hiking, skiing, and camping, and they come to the Mount Hood neighborhood for entertainment after a long day on the slopes.
The Mount Hood neighborhood straddles Troutdale and Gresham. A thriving local business scene means residents don't have to travel far from home to get to work every morning, and come nightfall, great restaurants and friendly bars sit right around the corner. Highway 26 makes it easy to commute from your Mount Hood apartment to anywhere in the area.

Property Ratings at Mountain High Apartments
The parking is an absolute nightmare. Residents are fighting over assigned undercover spots. Random vehicle will come and park in your spot and no one will do anything about it. YOU have to figure out who it is and hope they don’t attack you. 10-15 non-operational vehicles are being stored that are broken down or never moved and the apartments do nothing. Maintenance requests have gone untouched for MONTHS. They can’t keep an apartment manager longer then a few months because no one wants to manage the out of control residents.
Property Manager at Mountain High Apartments, Responded To This Review
We apologize for falling short in addressing the parking issues. Please contact us at (866) 964-3077 to discuss this matter further.
As with any apartment complex there will be issues here and there. But Kendra-the Manager quick to respond to it and is very kind and workable. Neighbors enjoy each other as they walk about, community is strong. Maintenance is the most honest and completes his jobs. However the owners are Californian and need to update themselves on Oregon laws smoking is not allowed in units and it is a 10ft distance NOT 25ft. STOP!! Raising rent it is not affordable and it is NOT California. I can get a house with a yard for the amount you want for a 3BR.
This place was an absolute nightmare, we were promised a first floor and then told a week before move-in that the tenants were renewing last minute. Maintenance took forever to get anything fixed (example: element on stove went out and had to wait nearly two weeks with no oven and spend extra money on a convection and hot plate just to cook anything). Neighbors were awful, we were harassed constantly mid day every time the downstairs neighbors heard so much as a cough (their response was running out of their apartment slamming the door and running up to our door and screaming that they were either trying play games or a watch a movie.....yeah at 1 in the afternoon? Get a job!). Furthermore, they made several bogus noise complaints claiming that we were up all night and that they had to sleep in their car, the reality is that they would wake our youngest child up at night by banging on their ceiling screaming at 2 am and then complain about it. Management did nothing so, we called the cops, harassment stopped for a little while after that and we were scolded by management for calling the police because apparently it gave "those poor people" PTSD flashbacks and no, they were not military or veterans. Harassment started again a few months later in the form of more bogus complaints, the most ridiculous one being a complaint that we left our bath fans on all night (fun fact: they were automatic). It should also be mentioned that management claimed to have attempted to find out if any other tenants ever heard anything even close to the claims of our downstairs neighbors, they couldn't to which we were told that it just must be a case of sound only traveling down.....really? Also, they claimed that we had domestic disputes in the middle of the night and that it sounded as if someone was being beaten. Naturally, I had to ask "did they ever call the police?" The manager's response was literally "well, you can't expect people to call the police every time that they hear a probable domestic dispute." Really? You can't expect someone who claims to hear what sounds like violence in the middle of the night to call the police? To top it all off we were given a no cause a few days after getting an appointment to renew, this resulted in a huge loss for my family as we had to go into massive debt just to move. Truly, avoid this place if you are looking for a nice neighborhood, competent management, or a livable apartment at a decent price.

Have lived here for more than 8 yrs and management quality has decreased. Takes forever to get maintenance to fix anything and they don't update anything until you leave. They advertise as non smoking community and everyone stands outside and smokes while the smoke comes in your windows. Advertises a basketball court and all there is a court with no hoop. People do drugs in the parking lot. I would not recommend this for families.
