Property Ratings at Mountain Lake Apartments
we're moving. so when we browsing we see this apartment and thought about this and then we contacted leasing office. they're not co operative at all and very rude. they don't event guide you in details about the apartment. so if you are moving from a far distance don't thought to move in this apartment
DO NOT MOVE HERE! They send nasty threatening emails constantly. One email even threatened to charge extra on the rent to pay their roto rooter bill because someone was flushing things down the toilet that didn’t belong. Why would a whole building be responsible for what someone else does in their apts? Don’t be fooled by the remolded apts… Everything falls apart or either breaks down. My bottom floor balcony have disgusting mold because when it rains it rains inside the balcony because of the old siding on the building . I can’t wait until my lease is up these ppl won’t get another dime out of me. Stray cats everywhere because someone in one of the buildings feeds them so on an average you may see 20/30 cats hanging around continuously having babies . So be careful if you have children or dogs you may be attacked by this pack of stray cats. Maintenance will come 6 times for the same problem because they just don’t care.. last thing is, when you come up the hill to visit the apts make sure you have steel tires on your car because the holes in the ground will cause you Atleast 3 flat tires in 30 days . STAY AWAY!!!
When it comes to paying your rent you need to be on time which makes sense, but when I was charged an extra fee for paying my rent online no one cares and the office told me it is a third-party's mistake and we can't do anything! They were supposed to charge an extra fee for paying rent by credit card but they charged me even when I paid by Debit Card! No support!
I have a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom remodeled apartment with a gorgeous view of the mountains that I look at from my balcony every morning while I drink my coffee. Anytime I had a request (had a dripping faucet once and needed a refrigerator lightbulb changed) maintenance came right away and fixed it that day. They just opened a brand new fitness room that I've been using 3 times a week and its saving me ton on a gym membership. Its pretty much everything I want and need right now in an apartment. The only I would like to see is a pool and they said that it might be in the works after Covid is over.
Please don’t move here, save yourself the trouble, it was renovated by some Joe’s who don’t know how to spell construction, everything is falling apart. Walls of the shower, kitchen countertops are separating, maintenance team is a joke and the management will just say whatever to make you “feel good” but takes zero action. And I laughed so hard when I read the review a few reviews down about how great the management is lol, like come on we know that’s a self made review by the management team themselves. I’ve been here for a year there has been ZERO events set up by the management. You know when a place makes fake reviews about them selves something is wrong.
The positive is the location of the apartments, but with that being said there maintenance team is HORRIBLE, they can’t even fix a lock on a door. Our first year in here we went the ENTIRE summer without working central air, after over 20 emails sent back and fourth they finally fixed it right before October. We have asked over and over again to be refunded for the central charge since we paid for it and did not receive it for 3 month; they have chosen to ignore our request over and over again. We are counting the days till our lease is up here, the owners of this property hired the wrong people to be in charge of this place. We are good, Bill paying tenants who own a freaking Tesla and could easily be anywhere else, and we can’t wait to leave this dump. This place is a mistake who hope no one else falls into.
This place is horrible. It’s supposed to be a newly renovated apartment lol not even close. Management and maintenance is terrible they don’t care about there tenants
Close proximity to lake & downtown makes this apartment the perfect & best place to stay in with mesmerizing top views of the city. Really impressed by the spacious apartment & the new management team is putting all efforts in making it best in all aspects. Highly appreciate the current management’s proactive measures in organizing fun events for the residents to make it a happy & lively community to live in. Staying here gives the feeling of staying in hill top resort. There is no doubt that this is the best apartment in Scranton.
Love living here. Truly don't ever want to move. New Management took over and they are updating remodeling apartments that are beautiful. Thank God for new management.
You can hear everything that your neighbors are doing. I can hear every step that my neighbors living above me make. It is non-stop. I haven't slept through the night in 9 months of living in my apartment. When I call to voice my concerns, the stomping around just gets louder. I will never use dcp rentals again once my lease is finished in 3 months.
So far I'm in love with this place, my son loves it as well. I'm from Bronx,NY so this experience is great. It's very spacious and very much affordable I would recommend this place for anyone.
