Property Ratings at Mountain Ridge at Sussex
DO NOT RENT HERE. I would remove a star if I could. The current property manager for this community is non-responsive, apathetic, incapable and resistant to doing their jobs and what they get paid to do, which is to service the tentants living here and paying rent. We put in for a refrigerator repair two weeks ago, two weeks later and we are still waiting for a technician to show up to repair the refrigerator. The first appointment was cancelled and then another rescheduled for 3 days later. No offer for a loaner fridge or replacement was made and when we requested to rent a refrigerator and deduct it from the rent, we were told it wasn't possible. The property manager described our two weeks+ without a fridge with a senior citizen tenant as a "temporary inconvenience". Mind you, prior neighbors waited a month to have their refrigerator looked at and then had it replaced 3-4 times after that because the appliances are very cheap and not worth the rent being paid. Appliances are shotty and cheap along with the construction. DO NOT RENT HERE. You will regret your decision the moment you need something repaired or fixed and you will when the shotty construction starts to fall apart. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people like they do.
Shotty construction and poor attention paid to repair requests.
