Nestled in the pleasant valley between the Santa Monica Mountains and Oxnard Plain, Camarillo is California’s hidden gem. The city boasts an enviable Mediterranean climate and provides easy access to numerous recreational opportunities through its 19 parks, including the popular Mission Oaks Park and Camarillo Grove Park.
California State University Channel Islands, housed in the historic former Camarillo State Hospital building with its distinctive Mission Revival-style architecture, adds an academic presence to the community. The city's convenient location along the Ventura Freeway, about an hour from Los Angeles, makes it attractive to commuters while maintaining its own distinct character with attractions like the Camarillo Premium Outlets and the historic Camarillo Ranch House, which preserves the city's ranching heritage established by its namesake Camarillo brothers.

Property Ratings at Mountain View Camarillo
You have to think a million times before planning to live there The manager will be nice before signing the lease, but after you sign you will see her second face: - You have to respect the rules but she doesn't respect anyone and no one above her, she can do anything without supervision. - If you have kids you can't let them play down as she puts large rocks everywhere . - She will kick you out after the first year as she did with my family and almost 5 families at the same month and if you ask her about the reason she will tell you that there is no reason because California law gives her this legal right. - She will take all your security deposit especially that she increased the deposit now to $ 1.700 so make sure to make a walk out list before moving out and take pictures to the apartment before leaving and if you did't do that she will find many fake reasons to take all your security deposits. - The buildings are old so you will smell a bad odor coming from water pipes and every day you will find something damaged. - The community has only one laundry, the majority of the washers and dryers are out of service and there is no regular maintenance. MAKE SURE TO READ ALL THIS BEFORE MOVING IN

The apartment is clean, and nice. It has recent fixtures, and was freshly painted for move-in. The kitchen is galley-style. There is a small balcony. At 820 sq.ft. for a 2 bdrm, there isn't much room for a lot of stuff. The rooms are small, but livable. The closets are not walk-in, but are average size with sliding mirror doors. The complex is located on a busy street with a lot of traffic, so if you are looking for a quiet neighborhood, this is not it. The location is close to shopping, banking, fast food, and freeway.
This is my first apartment ever and I must say it is truly wonderful. The manager Susan is very helpful and works with you take make sure you can get the most out of your experience. The apartments are very spacious with varying rental prices. Each apartment comes with a car port but you can also get a garage, both single and double are available. They have a pool, work out equipment, and on site laundry. When I moved in I was nervous at first but very happy that it turned out so well.
