Situated in one of the most beautiful areas of the United States, Ogden is well known for its nearby skiing, biking, hiking, and other mountain sports throughout the year. Needless to say, active lifestyles are extremely common in Ogden, and in fact it was the first city in Utah to be recognized as a Bicycle Friendly Community by the League of American Bicyclists. Local colleges such as Weber State University contribute a significant chunk of the local population, and that is reflected in the city’s thriving downtown nightlife and entertainment scene.
Ogden is also very much committed to celebrating its history, with many historic buildings still well-preserved and in use around town. The city leadership is also deeply invested in developing and maintaining high-quality neighborhoods, parks, and schools.

Property Ratings at Mountain View Townhomes
Run away as fast as you can!! This management by TEC is money hungry, they will find anyway to dollar you. I highly encourage you to live elsewhere and avoid this scam. Move out process caused me to forfeit my entire security deposit after only 3 months of living, I was charged an additional $500 for carpets, light bulbs, and shower rod. All of which were in the new conditional I moved in with. All in all, 3 months here cost me $11k. You can't even opt out of their "media package" whether you use it or not, you will have to pay for it, so they tell you "you might as well pay for installation."

Thank you for taking the time to let us know your thoughts on your stay here at Mountain View Townhomes. I'm sorry to hear that your experience with the previous management company was less than ideal. These townhomes are now owned and managed by a new company. We hope that if you are ever in need of a new home, you will give us try again now that management and ownership has changed. in the meantime, we wish you the best in all your future endeavors.
Management is terrible, can’t get issues fixed DO NOT RENT!! Our Internet has been out for three days. We’ve called three different times and emailed with no response! They told us before we signed the lease they told us the pool and gym would open when Utah went yellow. After we signed they told us they wouldn’t be opening because the didn’t have the staff for maintenance. The office doesn’t return phone calls timely and often you have to call back multiple times to talk to someone(for stuff like setting up your tv or Internet after you move in.
DO NOT even consider living here. There is only one manager for six different properties, the people who work in the office are entirely unwilling to listen to any concerns you may have and will talk over you and dismiss everything you try to say to them saying that you need to talk to the manager but the manager is not there most of the time. They will charge you for everything and will perform a blacklight test on the carpet (which is and impossible test to pass) when your lease is almost up and then charge you $2000+ for a new carpet. i adopted a pet about 6 months into my lease and they never added the pet rent charge and then after my account was reviewed for renewal they realized their mistake and added it midway through the month with late fees dating back to the first of the month. i have tried to work with them on this issue but they wont even accept the possibility that they could be in the wrong. thus far the manager has been hard to reach and the office workers have not contacted her on my behalf even though they said they would. At this point im convinced that every positive review for this place is fake.

We are very happy, very satisfied here. Staff is great, homes gorgeous! Grounds, upkeep immaculate!
Dishonest, rude, nasty management. These people are CROOKS!!! They will charge you for carpeting th he entire unit on move out, to the tune of 2500.00! Then evict you if you refuse to pay! STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS NASTY PLACE....THIEVES...THIEVES..THIEVES!!!

Thank you for your feedback. I understand it's hard to be held responsible for damage done by a pet. Unfortunately, the damage done is the pet owners responsibility. We strive to provide all residents with a clean, well maintained unit. If you feel you have been charged unfairly, please contact our office and we would be happy to discus your concerns. Thank you
My wife and I have lived here for almost 3 years it,s been a great pleasure for us. The property is very well maintained, the homes are really nice inside and out. The management has always been very helpfull for us and our needs. If you are a dog person you will love it there are 3 dog parks and a lot of walking space for you and your pets. I would recomend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful place to live.

Thank you for your review! We are happy to hear you are enjoying your stay! Please let us know if you need anything.
I have to admit I was excited to live here when I first moved -but in the almost 18 month living here the customer service and help for things that need fixed or corrected has been very bad. They charge you for every little thing that goes wrong, even if it is not something you can or have control over, dishwasher quiting, etc. For every little repair they charge a fee and then it is not even done correctly. shody repair work, etc. I would pass this place by if I were someone looking for a nice quiet helpful place to rent, They are not helpful, not courteous, not in any way do they care about tenants. They keep raising their prices, the media package is terrible - Utah Broadband is crappy internet. Even when its down you still get charged. You are charged for water for everyone. They combine all the units water and then divide up the cost evenly between all tenants and buildings. That is just ludicrous because who knows who has used what when it comes to the water. I've been very disappointed to say the least - I would never recommend living here because the management is really poor and the customer service is very bad. I just get 'Well thats just they way it is"... How customer service oriented is that? NOT!!! - DO NOT RENT HERE - They will charge you up the ying yang.

We appreciate your feedback. If you have questions on your account charges We would be happy to address them for you. Please contact the leasing office or use your resident portal to submit your concerns. Thank you
We've been here 2 years and have loved it from the beginning.! The property is well maintained and pet friendly. The complex is fairly new and the town-homes are in like new condition when you move in. There's on site laundry if you need it, an exercise room, a pool and parks for the kids. When we moved in Ashley took all the time we needed to cover the lease agreement, she answered any questions we had and did a complete walk through with us before we moved in. Over the past 2 years we never felt like we were being blind sided with hidden fines or fees. Read the lease any fines or fees are in there. Along the way there was a couple of cost increases, for the media package, trash pickup etc. but they were small and we were informed via email well in advance. Yes there are "rules here" but that's no different than any place else. As for the staff, they are good to go in my book. Emails through the tenet portal are replied to within 24 hours and work orders/request are completed in a timely manner. I even had one request answered after hours and resolved that same night. Yes Lashay and her staff run a tight ship but that's to be expected, at least that's what I expect. I've always found them to easy to talk with, very accommodating and they have ALWAYS treated me and my wife with respect. 2 thumbs up..!!!!!!
Of course, we read about all the human, frustrated renters, and the lying management that just want to get your money. We debated as we read some reviews, and coming to rent here, we took our time, (and theirs) and at a couple of points in the negotiations, we (ok I) was the original pain in the neck. And they were nice, through gritted teeth, nice. Thank heaven they didn't write a review about me! We took the plunge and omg..the neighbors are nice, the dog runs are lovely, the place is kept up beautiful. The other day we bought a travel trailer and thought...how are we going to park this? The manager graciously put me in her car and we found a spot on the grounds for the night. Who does that?

Thank you so much for your feedback! We appreciate it!!
This is the worst place we have ever lived. Whoever has the sociopathic mind Running this place belongs in prison. Nobody involved in managing this community is on the same page about anything. They communicate on the level of 4 year olds. They mislead you from the get go. They use the bait and switch tactic with everything and then blame each other for who said what. Their lease agreement is worded with inchorent nonsense. They force you to buy their internet and tv package , which sucks! Then they blame Dish and the internet provider as if they have no accountability for any of it. Even the reps with Their internet provider admitted to us that what they do is a dishonest rip off. Most of us who lived in this community were on a fixed income and these owners of this property pray on us. If you want to live in a police state that is ran by the Gestapo, by all means move in here. They still have dozens of bran new units that they can’t even rent here because they are such a sloppy operation. The manager of the leasing office. LaShay is the most insufferable person I’ve ever dealt with. I never leave negative reviews, but people need to be warned before moving in here. I wouldn’t move back if the Rent was free. The units have zero insulation between them. You can hear everything. Don’t get trapped here.
STAY AWAY! We were charged $175 fir cleaning even though we had spent hours making sure the place was spotless. Then after everything was finalized they called us about another charge after the fact and without even telling us sent the bill to collections! Completely unreasonable to work with. The place itself is relatively nice, but not worth the money or hassle!
This property isn't only Beautiful on the outside, it is truly Beautiful on the inside. You'll receive outstanding and excellent customer service from the Office Staff/Leasing Agents. They are professional, friendly, and so very kind. The Property Manager has gone above and beyond the norm several times for our family! I would definitely recommend Mountain View Townhomes to anyone looking for a place to call home long or short term!!!!
This place has the worst management I've ever seen. They are very rude, they don't follow up, and their communication skills or lack of suck. I have to constantly go up there to ask about things that have been promised (that never happen) . They won't take any feedback from tenants but try to bribe everyone to go write good reviews. Tracy was the best lady in the office but when she left it just got BAD. She was told she was too nice to the tenants and that if she didn't stop trying to help and please the tenants then she would need to move on. The communication skills of the management needs to improve for there to be any change in the community. The way they handle the people that live here is very unfortunate and if it doesn't change it will be a run down place just like the rest of the places around here. If you want good tenants and people who pay there rent and take care of there homes then you need to comply and take care of those people. You don't treat them like garbage. My suggestion is ask your residents what you could be doing better. Just a thought.
Very pleased with the apartments and management. The staff is awesome. They are very professional and keep the property nice and clean. I would definitely recommend Mountain View Townhomes to anyone looking for a nice place to call home!!
If anyone is looking for an above your average townhome/apartment style living this is truly the location with beautiful landscape. We have a 3bedroom unit that is very spacious with all new appliances. The office staff are all very helpful, courteous, wearing smiles daily. I love my town home.
If you rent here make sure sure to go around every square inch and record the tiniest little scratch, ding, dent, fingerprint. They will make up any lie to get your deposit money. You're better off to just hand them the deposit money and say take it because that's what will happen anyhow. Remember to check the place out thoroughly again and again, because they will gouge you and make up lies about damage that you did not do. Our 2 cents. Bad management!

We appreciate you taking the time to respond. The staff at Mountain View take our reviews very seriously. If you'd be willing, our manager would like to speak with you at Mountain View Town homes to discuss ways to improve your experience with Mountain View Town homes moving forward. Thank you for your input, and we hope to hear from you soon.
This place was the worst place i have lived in. Dont get me wrong, it is really nice home. That is why it gets 2 stars. The issue is the all the hidden fees, random raises in rent and the deception they throw at you. Be sure to read every word of the contract they are smart and will use it against you. I had rent raised 3 times in the 6 months lived there. I lost my deposit because of damage done prior to me moving in. So if you move in check for damage behind the stove and fridge and all other appliances in your move in checklist. Also if you have a car that you cant park in the garage, make sure you move it every once in a while or they will threaten to tow it. This is the first time i have felt compelled to write a review about a apartment/townhouse. It pains me to write it because the place was really nice to live in. I felt like we took really good care of the place. We didn't cause any commotion, and paid rent on time every time. This is the worst experience that i have had in an apartment. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. I advise you to look somewhere else.
My husband and I moved in here after looking at all the apartments around Ogden. We couldn't find anyone out there to do a month to month contract but Mountain View would. We have had no problems with our neighbors at all in regards to noise or complaints. The management keep the property looking very clean and nice. This is by far one of the nicest apartments I have ever lived in. The management here has gone above and beyond the norm and has provided an excellent customer service experience. All the ladies in the office are so helpful and friendly. My only complaint is the parking. It isn't that there is not enough because there is plenty, it's just that the spots near my apartment fill up fast. We have 3 vehicles and with the two car garage we still needed an extra spot. My husband and I love this place and would recommend this apartment complex to anyone who is searching for a new place to live.
we did a month to month lease and they still required a 60 day notice to move (this is not standard Utah law). Once we did move the management rerented the apartment and tried to not reimburse us along with an additional pet deposit that we were originally not suppose to have to pay in the first place. That part was resolved fairly quick with a few calls. They also required a 400 dollar security deposit and it was discussed as a deposit at signing. When we ask for that to be refunded, they said it was non refundable since we were month to month. Since they put the deposit on a line labeled "nonrefundable lease initiation fee" instead of the 30 dollar non refundable fee. This management company is dishonest when it comes to completing leases and finances. Do not trust the company.
