Interested in a city with small-town vibes but still plenty to do? Then Jasper, GA might be the perfect place to call home. Dubbed “The First Mountain City,” Jasper has a plethora of hiking trails such as Burnt Mountain Preserve Trail where you can take in the breathtaking views and breathe in the crisp mountain air - some even say that you can see the city of Atlanta and Chattanooga on a clear day.
Visit the Fainting Goat Vineyards and Winery for a weekend outing with friends or catch a show at the Tater Patch Community Theater. In October, enjoy music, food, drinks, and more at the Georgia Marble Festival located in downtown Jasper. With plenty to do in this friendly atmosphere, there will never be a dull moment in Jasper.

Property Ratings at Mountainside Manor
I love this community, we've been here for a while and we've seen so many WONDERFUL CHANGES! The new manager is so fun and is very involved with her community. She has fun activities and is getting the community organized and better! Not to mention all the upgrades that have been done to improve the buildings, inside the apartments, the parking lots, the pool, and our life styles! So excited for what is coming next! I highly recommend Mountain Side Manor Apartments.
Loving the community events. Some for families, adults and even pets. Changes are good in this case! Looking forward to more.
Dennis: I have lived here for over a year and I see the changes being made and the money that the owners are putting into upgrading the apartment and the grounds. Love the change. New management has enforced rules and clean up the place.
Since moving in any issues I've had have been addressed quickly and efficiently. They have community days where everyone can join in the fun and get to know your neighbors. All in all in great place to live with good management.
The new management has been great. The property is being cleaned up and the events are fun and informative ones too. Maintenance is doing much better. Even on a schedule for pressure washing the breezeways and pest control with the spiders.
I’ve really enjoyed staying here for the past couple years. The management has stepped up their game, and the property manager is spectacular!!
I see the changes being made but more importantly I feel the care about the community. I’m looking forward of what’s to come. Keep it up.
The property was built in 2005 so this is not a brand new place and has its "blemishes" so to speak. Management is doing a great job of cleaning up the place and the maintenance team has been lovely to work with and always responded to my needs in a timely manner. The price is definitely affordable compared to a lot of places right now with how the rental market is. I have recommended Mountainside Manor to many friends.
2 days now with no AC. We were told on 8/2 they would have the “gas” they need to fix it the following day. 8/3 now, and still no change. I have a child under the age of 1 who cannot be confined to one room with a window unit. This is not livable circumstances in the middle of summer. Mind you, the window unit, and power bill along with it, has been to my expense. They say they legally don’t have to do anything about it because it’s below 85, but when the problem occurred the day before it was above 85, and there was no urgency to get anything done. I stopped by maintenance, and walked up and the first thing I get from one of them was “I didn’t do it”, my response was “I know you didn’t, because my AC still is not working”. I went to the office, and she told me that the one responsible for ordering the gas for the AC unit was out, and just got back in town. I’m not sure why they would not keep count of these things during this time of year. Mind you, “multiple people are without AC”, so I’m not the only one. I was directed to the office manager, who was conveniently out of office. Also given corporates number, but you of course can’t get ahold of them. 10/10 wouldn’t recommend this place. It’s ridiculous how loyal of a tenant I’ve been, and they cannot reciprocate their loyalty as a company.
New management is a vast improvement! Lovely apartment and grounds. Maintenance dose a good job keeping up most things. Reasonable office staff and management. Cons People lol ?? The older children are pretty well behaved however there are quite a few “parents” that allow very young children to run around unsupervised all day long. The feral 5-12 year olds are rude (use profanity loudly) messy and destructive. They don’t respect the property or others. However this is more on the people letting there very young kids behave like this, not the apartment complex. Most of the older children teens seem respectful and care about the area.
