Property Ratings at Mountainview Village
I have lived her going on 2 years. This place was the worst place I could of moved to. 1st the power shuts off in my apartment every other day. I basically have to be in the dark to cook so my power doesn't turn off. The water is always shut off during the say without notice. The biggest problem I pay my rent on time and every other month I see new charges on my account. Please stay far away from this place.
Apartments are old. Water damage. Not well insulated. Smell and hear everything. Look elsewhere.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting the Mountain Village Apartments in New Windsor, NY, and I must say, it was an experience worth cherishing. Nestled amidst the picturesque beauty of the Hudson Valley, this serene community offers a delightful blend of modern living with the tranquility of nature. The apartments are thoughtfully designed with a touch of sophistication. The exterior architecture blends seamlessly with the natural landscape, while the interiors are spacious, well-lit, and equipped with modern fixtures. The maintenance staff is prompt and responsive, ensuring that any issues are addressed in a timely manner.

Thank you! We are very happy to have you here with us at Mountainview Village.
I have been living here for 3 years and every winter we have heat issues. Management says it’s an emergency. They find a cheap way out and the problem persists. The emergency number has never worked after hours when you need to use it because the maintenance guy says he’s not allowed OT. So you will be left with no heat/hot water all weekend!!! Every few months there’s a new girl in the office and they come up with new rules. People are moving out quickly and we are seeing more drug users especially on the weekends. They kick down the front doors of the units to get in, cops come etc. Now they have a tow truck that drives around randomly, they charge $400 for tow, parking is impossible here!! They charge us to have additional vehicles but there’s no where to park so the lots are congested! During the holidays the garbage bins fill up and overflow with no pick up over a week at times which attracts rats!!! They walk you around to the few finished hallways then move you into a gutted hallway and sell you the story that they are in phase 2 or 3 and making everything new. We have intercoms that have never worked and your packages will be left outside. Not an environment for kids!! We are finally running from here!

I just got approved for this apartment. A bedroom for me and one for my daughter. They look really nice and clean. Neighborhood feels like it's going to be nice and quiet. Hope it's not to good to be true!

I hope you're enjoying your first few months at Mountainview Village. If you ever need anything, please reach out to our office.
Unless you want to live in a roach-infested apartment then I'd suggest you look elsewhere. On top of their lovely roach infestation, there are absolutely no features that justify the higher rent prices. You can go save yourself $200 a month and go across the street to Knox village and enjoy a pool and playground for your kids. Here at Mountainview, we get a great view of the mountain of dirt that's been sitting in the courtyard for ages. On top of that, our door doesn't have any trimming, the hallways look like crack dens but at least we get pretty paint on our walls and laminate floors. This place is a joke.

Do not move here Management is a joke . When I call for maintenance and have them scheduled to come, they never show up . Then there be times when it’s time to shower and there is no hot water . This place is a joke . Landscape is still under construction and there’s pot holes . The hallway are not done and they promised they would be by the time we moved in but it’s already been a year and it looks like crap. Do not move here!

Good afternoon. I am the new Assistant property manager at Mountainview Village and while I know you posted this a while ago, I still wanted to express our deepest apologies for your experience. I am happy to say we currently have a superb maintenance staff who strives to complete emergency issues within 24 hours and non-emergency issues within 7-10 days. If you are ever in need of repairs/maintenance please call the leasing office at 845-561-1180. We are currently working on beautifying the complex with a new landscape design this coming fall. Thank you for your patience.
The place is a mess, management is the worst, they don't follow thru on the tenants complaint. Living conditions are absurd, no heat, poor windows, promised they would be replaced and still not replaced. Don't waste your money go somewhere else. Moving out because the living conditions are insane. Management is rude and inattentive to the tenants need. Regret moving in to the unit and moving out.
Moved here in July 2020 have had nothing but problems with the people in the office. They are unorganized and they never get back to you. my heat does not work and they sent someone over to look at it twice and nothing has changed. Save yourself the stress do not spend your hard earned money here
I moved into a newly renovated apartment about a month ago. Everything looked great, until I move in and learn all the outlets in my living room dont work and 1 of the 2 ACs dont work. This in July by the way. Management has been incredibly unhelpful, to the degree that it's been days since a work order was filed and they havent even sent a maintenance person to check the outlets, let alone schedule an electrician. Unless management shapes up, I wouldnt recommend.
