Indianapolis is the thriving capital city of the state of Indiana — as well as the most populated. Nicknamed the Crossroads of America, Indianapolis is the well-known center for several major interstates that connect locals to the rest of the country. This commuter-friendly city is also home to the Indianapolis International Airport, a modern hub for national and international travelers. With an abundance of affordable apartments for rent, the city of Indianapolis has more than enough to offer both its residents and visitors alike.
Residents can enjoy a performance from the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra at Hilbert Circle Theatre, cheer on the Indianapolis Colts at Lucas Oil Stadium, and peruse the stores in Circle Centre Mall. Locals enjoy admiring the wildlife at the Indianapolis Zoo, exploring the exhibitions at the Indianapolis Museum of Art, and hiking the trails at Eagle Creek Park.

Property Ratings at Murphy's Landing
I've been living in Indianapolis and by extension Murphy's Landing for about 7 months now and here's my impression of everything so far. I've found Murphy's Landing is not a bad place to live. It's within walking distance to everything you'd need and a short drive away from everything else. There's workout equipment that you can use but it's not really a full size gym. If you're a beginner it'll do but if you're a hard core exerciser keep your membership. The good thing is you can access it 24/7/365 so that's nice. The area is very family friendly. There's a small outdoor play area for kids and an outdoor pool. The area itself is relatively safe. Obviously there's no such thing as 100% security but it's not like bullets are flying past my window on a daily basis. It's a little far from the city I guess but that's only what I've been told. I'm from a rural area so my idea of the boonies is different than people who live in big city like Indy. The staff is friendly and willing to work with you with whatever issue you have. The only thing is maintenance is slow. Unless it's something they think will harm the building it'll be a low priority. Just keep on them and eventually they'll fix it just to shut you up. While you do get some amenities I think the rent is a little high for not giving much in return. If they lowered rent by about $100 I would give this place an A but instead I'd give this place about a B.
I really wanted to like this apartment. It is in a good location, close to plenty of shopping and restaurants and close to several interstates. The apartment does have a decent layout, though the living room, kitchen, and dining area are very small. There is a decent size laundry room and I do like the bedrooms, each of which is a suite with full bathroom and walk-in closet. Though maintenance issues are taken care of quickly, there have been far too many maintenance issues and we have only been here 2 months. The playground is nice for the apartments, but the pool is quite small. There is also not enough parking so that some days I have to park far away. There are garages for rent, but there aren't enough of them either so our garage is a couple buildings away from us. Overall, it's just a so-so place to live and next year we will be moving.
