Property Ratings at Museum Place
The inside of the community has gotten nicer since the new management / maintenance addition. Sadly the neighborhood itself doesn’t make you want to stay with all the homeless activity
Good community, nice amenities, rents pretty high considering how dangerous it it outside and how often the appliances break due to quality tho.
Museum Place. Great location. Building is kept clean. Staff and maintenance guys are friendly, helpful and professional. Enjoy the use of the gym.
Very nice place to stay at. Although the Safeway on first floor can be a problem, the building itself is very secure and security guards patrol regularly.
Museum Place is like it's own little neighborhood in the middle of the city. I've really enjoyed living here and the staff is amazing. The maintenance team is very responsive and the front office is always ready to greet everyone with a smile. The community events have been fun too! I've never lived in an apartment complex like this.
The area around the building sucks, I wish there’s something that could be done. I used to live facing 11 st and it was the worst year of my life, I could hear screaming people, arguing , shootings , Safeway trucks… horrible all along. I moved to an apt facing the inside of the building and it’s like night and day. I am finally “enjoying” my time here. The area around the building still sucks but at least the sounds are less scary.

We take pride in our safety and security team here and keep the building clean and maintained, addressing issues promptly. It sounds like you may have transferred units and the new unit is better suiting your needs. Please let us know if there is anything else we can do for you. Thank you!
I absolutely love living here, I have said it for the last three years and continue to enjoy my stay at Museum Place. The current management team / on site staff are wonderful and a lot of the residents here are all sort of of one big family that have lived here awhile. I look forward to going into 2025 here!

Hi, your review about Museum Place Apartments made our day! Thanks so much for taking the time to write. Please let us know if you need anything else. Have a wonderful week!
It's been only 1 month we are staying here. So far so good. But I must say, MacKenzie is a person from the lease office who made our move very swift and easy. The home was also properly cleaned and all the appliances were in good condition. So, I am so far happy with my home other than the outside environment. There are many homeless people all over the place.

Cleanliness of the lobby and floors, gym and meeting room. Friendly office staff, maintenance guys and cleaning people. Like the heads up with messages. Am a private person and the building is very safe and secure.

Aw, thanks! Your amazing feedback and rating mean the world to us. Can't wait to see you again - until next time, take care!
I'm very pleased with the maintenence service here. My AC wasn't up to snuff and they replaced it with a new one. It works great. It took them less than an hour for the job.

Worst experience ever! I would give 0 stars if I could. I reached out on April 2nd about an apartment that was coming available on June 6th. I was very interested and let the staff know I wanted the apartment pending a tour. The front office told me they do not schedule showings while apartments are occupied and they had no pictures of the specific unit so I scheduled a tour for 6/6. They let me know I could hold the apartment but I would have to apply and sign a lease sight unseen, which is crazy. The front office told me they would reach out if anyone else showed interest in the same apartment. Fast forward to today, 05/22. The unit is no longer listed online so I reached out to confirm that was a mistake. Turns out they ended up renting the apartment and never reached out to let me know. When I followed up to ask how it happened they made excuses and put the blame back on me for not applying without seeing the home. This is now the second time this apartment complex has done this. Save yourself the heartache and don’t waste time or money trying to live here.

Hello, I'm really sorry to hear that you weren't able to secure your dream apartment for the second time. I understand how frustrating and disappointing that must be, and I wish we could have made it work for you. We do our best to inform everyone that our loft-style floor plans tend to sell very quickly, and we often have interest in them even before they officially become available to view. While we completely understand your preference to see the apartment in person before applying, the only way to hold an apartment is to apply ahead of time. Unfortunately, someone else applied for the apartment before it was ready, as many of our residents trust our commitment to quality apartments and customer service. It's unfortunate our timelines didn't align, but please know that we genuinely tried to accommodate your needs within our policy constraints. We still have some amazing options available at Museum Place, such as our two-bedroom townhome, which offers many features similar to our lofts. We'd love to discuss these options with you if you're interested. Wishing you all the best in finding your perfect home. Warm regards, Museum Place Team
Museum Place is not in a "cultural district" as advertised. It is in a drug-infested area which is unsafe to go outside, to go to neighborhood restaurants and shops that remain, and to shop at Safeway. The noise is very disturbing 24/7 with no one to address the issues caused by "street people" and "not homeless people" looking to survive in an expensive city.
The paperwork process for my situation was kind of insane but the staff were very helpful throughout the stressful process. As soon as the paperwork went through (for the fourth time) everything else has been a breeze. I love the building and the amazing location, it's the perfect spot as someone who doesn't have a car. the apartments have insanely wonderful natural light, which is a refreshing change to many other buildings i toured. I am in a studio and it isn't cramped, i've completely moved in everything from my old one bedroom apartment and i have room to spare. the in-unit laundry machines are a bit puzzling to figure out at first but a godsend once i figured it out. the elevators are safe and spacious, the staff is always ready to help, and im really in love with this building. the community seems cute, im a bit of a hermit myself but everyone is very nice, so if that's something you're into you'll find a welcoming group here. incredibly happy with the wonderful space.

Hi there, thank you so much for your positive comments about Museum Place Apartments! We hope you have a great day!
Not a bad place. Beautiful layouts. I wouldn't say it's in the safest neighborhood, but it certainly feels safe once you come inside the door :)
The management team is the best we have had in the fourteen years I have lived at Museum Place. Extremely professional and respectful of all the tenants.
The staff and the building are good. The neighborhood is in decline, and there is a strange, unpleasant odor outside of the building in the mornings.
Friendly, responsive and friendly staff! Residents are kind, and location is prime!

I am enjoying my time at Museum Place. I've been disappointed more recently because I've smelled cigarette smoke in the hallway, and was told by management that each person on my floor would be receiving a letter about the non-smoking policy. I haven't heard that any such letter has circulated. I am definitely liking the fact that the gym is now open to residents. Overall it's been a positive experience living here!

Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. When we are not able to pin point one home for smoking on the floor we send out a message to that floor level on Active Building. It will be an email message to that floor. If you know what home might be doing it please reach out to us and let us know. Thanks again for the review.
Museum Place is incredibly situated in a diverse and robust area of Portland's west end that features incredible coffee nearby, Indian and Thai cuisine, Pizza and the cultural arts. Amazing views and an impeccable terrace.

So much to like! Light-filled floorplan with balcony. Grassy courtyard. Friendly, responsive staff. Grocery store downstairs. Frequent public transportation nearby makes it easy to live car-free! (Normally I would also mention that I enjoy the downtown location, but its closed and looks like Detroit.)

Have lived here for 9 years now and loved it, but now encountering vagrants entering the building, going through trashrooms, and sleeping openly in the lobby and hallways. Not seeing any movement on the part of management to lock down the building.
Property Manager at Museum Place, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. The building is locked down as allowed per city fire code. If homeless get on the floors it's typically from them following someone in or when the handicapped button is used, the door stays open longer. We do have security that you can reach out at anytime and they will respond. Please call them on the cell anytime from 5:30am to 12:30am at 971-777-2186. If it is after those hours call dispatch at 503-207-5300. We are here to help, please reach out anytime. Thank you, Kelsey
I have been living here for 9 years and loved everything about it until May of 2019 when one of two elevators went down. It has remained down since, so we're now in our 9th month where Greystar keeps blaming the elevator company and seems unable to get that second elevator working. My love of this building remains but my faith in Greystar is at rock bottom which is making me contemplate looking for another place.
Property Manager at Museum Place, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. We are all happy that the elevator repairs have been completed. It was a long trouble shooting process with many parts and several vendors. If any one of us could have repaired it we would have. I'm happy that you love it here at Museum Place. We hope you will stay with us for many more. We appreciate all the patience as we worked through the repairs with our vendors. Thank you for taking the time to give us a review.
Violence, homeless drug addicted monsters, elevators havent worked for the last 8 months, packages stolen from your front door.
I have lived at Museum Place for 11 years. I love the location, my apartment, my neighbors, the convenience of the streetcars right outside the door, Safeway (newly remodeled) and the views from my windows and the lovely garden terrace and handy Community Room. However, one of the building's two elevators has been out of service since May 1, 2019 and it is now October 28, 2019........SIX months. Very minimal explanation has been given to tenants and we do not understand how a relatively new building (built in 2003) can have an elevator that cannot be repaired. Now, in the last seven days, the only working elevator has gone down twice for several hours each time. Repair people have been here to get it back into service but it's still making a clunking noise as it moves from floor to floor. We may soon be a building with NO working elevators. Not everyone can take the stairs.........Come on, Greystar..........quit giving us excuses and fix the elevators at Museum Place.
Property Manager at Museum Place, Responded To This Review
Thank you for taking the time to give us a review. The elevator has been frustrating for everyone. I'm sorry it was down for so long. If myself or any of my peers from Greystar could have fixed it we would have. We had to have several vendors involved in getting the repair done. It took several attempt, lots of parts and inspections to ensure it was up to code. Our vendors were swamped and scheduled several weeks out. I can assure you that we were doing everything that we could to get the elevator repaired. I have an open door policy so please feel free to stop in anytime and visit me.
disappointment with management staff
Great location, nice building. The air conditioning doesn't work very well and the vent over the stove doesn't go anywhere. I wish it had a full bedroom instead of the 3 wall nook, but it's better than a studio for sure. There has been a recent turn over of office staff, so systematically, things are a mess, but the new manager seems to be trying her best to get everything under control.
The building is mostly good but problems with non-working elevators, inadequate plumbing, and crime in the surrounding neighborhood.
No thanks.
Great place! Very convenient.
Excellent location to downtown activities such as museum and theater and symphony events plus excellent public transportation options.
I love my apartment. The people are very friendly, and the facilities are excellent.
The community is great! The move in process from application to actual move in day was very easy. Management was very helpful and made themselves avaliable to answer ant questions I had. They also worked with me to make my long distance move easier by being avaliable and flexible to my travel plans (including adjustments for weather) in getting here. Management has been wonderful and very quick to respond. The actual move in was extremely easy too! I moved in feeling like all my questions were answered and I understood all the ammenities offered. The apartment itself is great and has a fantastic layout and lots of space.
I asked to see the security video, after my car break-in, but never got the answer. Asked about dry cleaning about the damaged items, never got the answer. I washed washable items. The carpet is still stained after shampooed, but not even checking if its done or not. Terrible!
