Property Ratings at Museum Terrace
We have lived in the Museum Terrace apartments for more than 10 years and remain very happy with our experience. The apartment per se is nice and the building is well maintained. The neighbors are generally up polite and friendly, and we can find much to do nearby. Happy to be living here!
Overall very good, well mannered neighbors who share amenities well. A few bad eggs near the BBQ area which means i'll never use it, which is a real shame.
Great location, staff, and amenities! I love Museum Terrace :) Beatriz and team have always been extra helpful, timely, and considerate. I highly recommend checking the place out.

wish the communal paces would be cleaned more often but otherwise good. the "refurbished" floors of my new apartment are not good and the carpets are bad

I have been here about 7 months now and I still love the community. It is a very warm environment from the staff to the residents, are friendly and respectful. I haven’t spent much time enjoying the amenities just yet, but the few times I have it has been just what I needed. It’s very relaxing to sit by the pool and do work, or in the garden looking at the stars. The staff is amazing and always make sure to get things done. They are also nice to just chat with and get to know. But it is definitely the community vibe I enjoy the most.

Our apartment community is usually quiet during weekdays. Weekends you can hear the cheerful playing and laughing from the children. The residents are mostly friendly. We like living here

It's only been a week ans we already love it here. Natasha made our leasing experience a breeze and while we had to wait for our apartment, it was worth it.

The only reason I am giving 3 stars is because the washing machines that I use are ALWAYS broken. How many times does a tenant have to put their clothes in, detergent, etc. only to find out the machine is down? This has occurred at least a few dozen times for me. Replace the unusable washers! Then we have to take the clothes out and go to another laundry room. THIS is the ONLY room where the machines do not work. It's been going on for years! Since they were installed. The old washers were so much better. Perhaps management can take some of the rent increase money and replace the machines! Otherwise onsite management is good. Only wish the powers that be would realize how frustrating and time-consuming it is for tenants to deal with unusable washers. We all have schedules to keep and having to deal with these issues is time-consuming.
Very enjoyable. The staff my neighbors are all l very friendly and helpful. The complex is in a great location with many restaurants shopping and entertainment near by. The amenities are topp notch and the 24 hour security helps me feel safe

I've lived at this apartment for 5 years, and overall, my experience has been positive. The location is unbeatable—close to everything I need, which is something I truly enjoy. The staff here is also fantastic; they're always friendly and helpful. However, the consistent rent increase of $170 each year has been frustrating. It's made it difficult to plan financially, but despite that, the convenience and quality of the living experience have kept me here.
I only give it 4 stars because the elevators are slow and people need to pick up after their pets. Other than that I love it here. Overall great location price and building.
The building is clean. Thanks to the hard working of maintenance staff :). The residents are generally friendly. Hancock Park is right across the street and LACMA is in the walking distance.

Living at Museum Terrace for the past 3+ years has been wonderful. The amenities (pool, gym) are very nicely done, the location is great, the building feels very safe, and there are plenty of washers/dryers on every floor to ensure you never have to wait. The management staff (Beth and her team) are always a pleasure to work with, and all repair work orders are resolved promptly. The major renovation process was a challenge to live through at times in sheer duration, but now that it's done, I can't say enough great things about the building.
Lived here for 2 yrs, after the 1st, they redid the pool (looked the exact same), gym (big improvement) but took them forever, lobby and mailboxes were also under construction. We were compensated with a $200 gift card and then after much ado, we got some credit i think $500 toward the next mo rent. They did all this within the month after I re-signed my lease without telling me. I felt like this should have been a breach of some sort of contract, at least one for humanity. Then construction next door started and begins at 7a, 6a trash cans are moved and it sounds like we're under attack because it echos. Music can be v loud, im talking i can feel the bass from upstairs while im sitting on my couch. The sliding doors are heavy and so loud when people close them. other than that its quiet and the other tennants are decently respectful. But the elevators are always out and it feels like its always something here... I am nonetheless moving, i dont feel like the mgmt cares about the tenants, we're just a number, the workers here try very hard and are very nice but its a lot to pay (and they always raise the rent even if you will be stripped of all amenities before and during lockdown), which is so unfortunate bc the apts are big and I do have a nice view.
As a tenant of almost 5 years, I’ve watched this building’s slow decline from a pleasant and convenient place to live to a constant construction zone with repairs taking months and months to complete. 4 years ago they painted the exterior of the building and half of the interior, while leaving the rest of the interior as is. 3 years ago we lived through 4 months of a pool renovation (poolside unit) and received a $200 discount off of rent for those months. As of late October 2018 the entire building has been under construction with no effort from management to compensate residents while living through a building overhaul. Construction noise starts at 7am while residents are expected to abide by quite hours which last until 8am. There is so much dust from tile demo, planter construction, etc that keeping our unit clean is next to impossible. We’ve lived without access to the gym, pool, hot tub, elevators, and guest parking for over 6 months. While these amenities are extras, we’re still paying for them without being able to actually use them. I’m assuming all of these slow moving updates are stemming from the construction of a new apartment building to the immediate south of the building. Management knows competition is coming to the area. J.H. Snyder has made more progress on erecting an entire building over the past 6 months than the crews here have made on any portion of the renovation. The only saving grace is the office staff. They’re working tirelessly to advocate for the residents, and convince the greedy corporate management to compensate us for this major inconvenience.
This place is terrible and a complete waste of money. The front office people are nice. The corporate and "upper management" don't give a crap. There has been loud construction since October with no notice of what is going on and now the whole building has been torn up with NO ONE working on it. Apparently in new leases it says it will be till December that we put up with this. And with no compensation???? So we have no amenities and dirt everywhere and tiles broken and leaks everywhere and no consideration for the tenants??? OH AND THEY ARE STILL RAISING THE RENT FOR NEW LEASES! No thanks.
I just moved in before the construction started. Guy at the office lied to me. I was promised a gym and a pool. I don't have either. No updates. Loud. No security.
This is the worst place ever. The only good thing is that Beatrice and the on site management staff trying to keep this place together. We don't have a lobby any more, it has been under construction since early November. We are being told that construction will continue till July. The thing is that nobody is constructing anything. The place has been ripped apart but nothing is happening. In the meantime tenants need to enter and exit through the garage. There is literally no security. YES, there are security guys at the entrance of the garage but they are in their cellphone at all times and they don't care who gets in and out. Packages that are left by amazon are disappearing from the hallways. The front elevator has not been working since November. They demolished the gym but never put it back together again. You can't even get to P2 (second floor) where the gym was any longer. It's closed off. They ripped out the hallway tiles on the sixth floor over a month ago but apparently stopped working. So now there is just the subfloor, looks like the work was stopped. About a month ago the pool area ant the hot tub are was closed off fir no apparent reason and no one at management can give you an answer when they will reopen it. Mind you, that after they closed it for over six month in the summer. This place sucks and we are moving out. Worst place ever after we caked it gone for over three years. Do yourself a favor and rent somewhere else.
