Property Ratings at Mystic Bay Apartments
I see the reviews, but I must say I am living here for the second year with a new lease on a two bedroom transfer and I could not be any more happy!

Thank you for your review, Stacey! I'm so glad that you are renewing and thriving at Mystic Bay Apartments in Largo, FL!
Do not miss out on this gem of a property. Upon my arrival I was greeted by David, who was an absolute gentleman and gave me a great tour of the complex. He showed me a stunning two bedroom that fit all of my needs in a new home! I was also shown not one, but TWO swimming pools and a dog park which is a big highlight for me. David answered all of my questions and made me feel right at home as I was touring and made the application process extremely easy and stress free! I’m now all moved in and I LOVE it here! Thank you David for all your help!

Thank you for your kind words, Alyssa. We really appreciate you sharing your experience for Mystic Bay Apartments in Largo.
I toured Mystic Bay Apartments in January and had a great experience. The staff was so friendly and attentive. The team had such a great dynamic amongst each other and you can tell it was an overall happy environment. Unfortunately I am having to move out of the state, but if I stayed here, I would definitely rent at Mystic Bay.

Thank you for your kind words, Kim. We really appreciate you sharing your experience for Mystic Bay Apartments in Largo.
I came here today to look at different types of apartments and to say that I was astounded is the bare minimum. Autumn and Ashley answered all my questions, helped me through my application process when I (DEFINITELY) needed it, showed me the different rooms and were extremely patient with me and my first apartment. The apartments feel a lot bigger than others I've been too and they are, without a doubt, one of the best apartments in the area for the prices! Great locations, Public Transportations nearby, and amazing service! Can't wait to move in!

Thank you for taking the time to share your positive experience with Mystic Bay Apartments!
Living in this apartment complex has been disappointing due to persistent mold issues. Despite changing apartments twice the problem persists. Additionally, the misleading claim of luxury living is far from the truth, as the apartments clearly show signs of age and wear. Overall, my time here has been marked by frustration and false advertising.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, Malvin. We take the safety of our residents and our apartments very seriously. I'm going to reach out to the property manager to follow up with you.
The maintenance crew are awesome. I've been living here for 3 years and every time I have a problem there are in my apt right away. They're so professional, polite and friendly. They explain everything they are going to do so good. I cannot complain about them " Roberto, Josvel and Abel are great people.

Hi, Sol. We are happy to learn that you had a great experience with Mystic Bay!
I’ve lived here since August of this year and have had a great experience. The community is quiet and everyone I’ve met is so friendly. Ashley and Autumn in the office have been beyond helpful from the moment I first called. I highly recommend Mystic Bay.

Thank you for your review of Mystic Bay! I'm so glad you had a great experience with Ashley and Autumn!
Don't believe the hype. Just renovated means new management changed a few things before selling to another company. Chances are the people in the office will be gone when/if you renew. They don't care once you sign the lease. 2 resort pools? Try one. The second pool is neglected and does not look like the front one. No parking and you will be towed eventually. Just a matter of time. Still don't know why they're towing residents when there is no place to park. Go somewhere else! You've been warned! Maintenance has been great for us! The only thing good about the place.

DONT MOVE HERE u have to park at autozone and walk all the way to ur apartment in the middle of the night

I am disappointed to hear about your experience. I will have a property manager follow up with you.
This apartment complex has absolutely nowhere to park. You will get 1 parking space per household no matter how many bedrooms you have. I have a 3 bedroom apartment and we have 2 cars. I have to cross 6 lanes of traffic and a 10 minute walk no matter what time of day I get home. I complained several times and the management just said move somewhere else if you don't like it even though I am locked into a contract until August. They will lie and say they will call you and they never do. On average there are between 50 and 60 empty parking spaces every night that they say are reserved so if you park in them you will get towed. They fob you off on a daily basis. DO NOT LIVE HERE. you will not be able to have visitors either.

Images show the units with dishwasher but that is not the case. Also I didn't see the similar style in the apartment I toured

Hi Sundar! Thank you for the review. Currently, we are in the process of renovating our units as we were recently purchased by the Sterling Group corporation this summer. The units online are the ones that have been renovated so far. I'll update the copy to clarify moving forward! Thank you for the feedback.
Do you enjoy fighting for parking in an oversold parking lot? If you do then look no further then mystic bay apartments in largo! They managed to oversell parking so if you plan to be out past 9 pm you might as well find a place to stay for the night. Find an open spot? More then likely its reserved. Residents are parking in walkways in order to make it home for the night. On top of that the towing company that does come to the parking lot will tow anything that is in a spot they are not assigned to. Multiple residents have already had their vehicles towed which can cost over 200$ per tow. Other then that no complaints, but paying for a place you can’t even come home to seems like a waste.
Deborah at mystic bay in largo made my move in so easy, she was so helpful and attentive and even left me a move in gift basket!! That was a first for me, i love my new apartment community so much, everyone is so friendly ??

Deborah was a great asset to Mystic Bay . She is very helpful from the beginning of our application all the way to the end. Especially it’s a sight unseen. She’s willing to go and FaceTime you and show the unit. Deborah won’t let you down. The place is quiet too I love that they have 2 swimming pool. It’s clean and well maintained too. It’s close to everything win Dixie Walgreens and Starbucks . 15mins drive to the beach.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience at Mystic Bay. We’re so glad that Deborah has been accommodating and courteous during your transition to our community. Please let us know if we can be of any assistance as you get settled in. Welcome home!
Mystic Bay has a great team... We were desperate to find a new place because our prior residence was being sold and time was running out. Without an appointment and within 30 minutes, they had already shown us two apts and emailed us the paperwork. Within an hour Deb called to confirm receipt. After that it was a flurry of emails and calls with Deb to get us situated. No one else we encountered in our search was as engaged or proactive. I don't know the names of the people on the team that got our apartment ready but they got it done a day early. We were set to move in on a Saturday and on Deb's day off but Natalie made it a smooth transition without a hitch. Then, when the A/C froze up because we had the doors open while moving in, within 5 minutes Roberto and Fermin were here to inspect and they kept checking back until it was resolved. Because of All of you, we can call Mystic Bay our home. Thank you guys!!!
I just moved in to Mystic Bay Oct 1st and I have to say that the staff has gone above and beyond to make my move as smooth as possible. Deborah and Natalie in the office are top notch and make you feel like you have known them forever. Only a a few small things I had addressed were taken care of quickly by Alejandro, whom is very professional. I love the amenities offered here - my grandkids love the pools. I highly suggest if your looking to give Mystic Bay a tour, you won't be dissapointed.

I've been here for almost 3 months and so far so good. Deborah is amazing! She helped make my transition from PA to FL as stress free as possible, especially considering a "pandemic" Ms. Terri the property manager, is just as amazing as well as Ms. Natalie. All have been a pleasure to work with. If you have any issues, they are super good about getting right on it and having it taken care of in a professional and timely manner. The maintenance staff are all pretty awesome, Alejandro is always pleasant and polite. Thanks all!

I have been a resident for a little over a year now. The improvements have been top notch and the response time of any issues are very prompt. The renovating of the apartments are awesome and done efficiently. I looking forward to the family hang out area that the reused an old tennis court. The staff is very friendly and great to communicate with. Highly recommended. I live in 3 bed, 2 bat, w/d and very happy with it.

A lot has changed from when the community was named Dwell At Bay Crossing. Now that it is Mystic Bay Everything has picked up. All three of the ladies in the front office are very helpful and kind. The maintenance team is Quick to fix whatever problem your apartment is having and they cool people too. Very quiet community family base. Apartment prices are fair. Got a decent amount of places you can walk to also it’s Not far from the beach. I love it here!!! Happy for the new team out here also.

If I could give negative stars I would. let me start with "Sorry for the inconvenience" since that is all you get from the office about anything. NO Parking. Because there is not enough parking, they exploit it and charge you $30 more a month if you want a designated reserved spot but refuse to make designated assigned spots for all of the units so each could have at least one. Neighbors that smoke so much weed daily it comes into your unit and all your clothes and furniture now smell like weed to. Chemicals used to resurface bath tubs in other units that are highly toxic and so strong they seep into your apt and make it deadly to be in for 24 hours so you must stay in a hotel that they wont offer another unit or reimburse you for but give you the "well it must be done so sorry for the inconvenience". Vehicles broken into. The WORST rental experience I have ever had. Visitors get to park upfront and walk 150 yds to your apt in the rain or late at night. When all the spots are full, you as a resident will get to park up there and walk too. One word summary: "SUCKS".

Stay away from this complex office staff is the worst. On our 3rd Property manager in 2yrs 4th Assistant Manager in 6 months. In the last 6 months our water bill went from 75-80.00 to over 116.00 and this is for a 2 bedroom apartment. The maintenance team are a great bunch of people, but I would look elsewhere office staff is no help with any issues. Their go to line is “you signed the lease”. This is my second lease regret ever signing it.....
I would recommend this place to any of my friends, and family if they needed a place to move to.and have done so many times.
Only trouble is getting ahold of the office. Dont answer the phone much and out of office a lot. But very helpful when you get in contact.
Buildings are old so living on bottom floor is very loud, parking is a nightmare. Aren't enough spaces for occupants let alone any guests. Most apartments have parking around the perimeter, not internally. A/c issues. But subtract those issues, and I like living there.
I lived here about 2 years ago when it was called Claremont on the green and before the renovation. It wasn't the worst place. Syncing with maintenance was an issue for repairs but the expressed concern. It was a bit pricey and looks even more so now. When I was there the dog yard was incomplete the whole time. Only 1 laundry room was operational. The tennis court was overgrown with weeds. Parking was difficult. My vehicle was towed once because the decal wasn't in a readily visible place. Management kept short hours. The work order call service wasn't 100 percent available. The complex was pretty quiet but Starkey is a very busy road and hard to navigate out of the complex during heavy traffic hours. Convenient to grocery stores and other nearby businesses. Warning inform your visitors to park in only the vision parking in front or they will be towed promptly. Overall I just think it's too much to pay for what you get here.
They have fees for improper trash removal, to be let into an apartment if you locked yourself out, to guarantee you have a parking spot or you can park at autozone and walk through the sprinklers. The AC constantly freezes! My daughters room had a wall that literally started to cave in. The ACs leak and cause mold/mildew in the walls. We are the second person we know that this has happened to. They’ll strip you for every penny DOCUMENT EVERYTHING!! I wish nobody the misfortune of being trapped like we were. This is a legitimate warning... and I hope you take it. DO NOT MOVE HERE PLEASE!!!
When I put in a work order and it gets addressed as quickly as if it were their own apartment I really appreciate it. And it was and I am very happy It would be extremely helpful to give a window of time after the crew has opportunity to review work order. A call before coming so you don't have to be awake all day waiting and calling and then no one comes or calls so the next day you have to be awake all day waiting. Some people due to whatever reason find it difficult to be up all day. My disabled husband does. Thanks
The apartment I was shown was not the apartment that I would be getting - I even asked if this would be the same apartment and the agent said yes. But when I called back and asked some questions, the apartment kitchen and flooring would be totally different than what I was shown. I also emailed about 2 weeks ago and never heard back.
This place is AWFUL. Maintenance is awful, parking is worse, the management is constantly changing so nothing gets done. Since management wouldn't do anything I called corporate at Pinnacle Management, was told I would be called back within 24 hours and over a month later I just now received an email. This place is a joke. I've been consistently reporting issues for 8 months and the management is telling me everything is solved.
YES
Earlier this year I was would not. That is beginning to change as the upgrades continue and the low life?s are going away. BUT .... I have to tell you the competition for rental dollar is really big here. And they just keep building more. My daughter lives in one 10 min away and the amenities are crazy nice. And everything Is brand new
After living in my home for 30 years,Yvette made trying to find a new home in a new state after her also just moving to Florida for two days. She diligently worked on ways for me to become a tenant. I am disappointed that there is no ice maker or washer or dryer in the apartment.
I love the apt. but the parking is terrible. Most nights I have to walk the entire complex because I have to park in the front and I live in the back, if you work 2nd shift there's no parking and the trash is always all over the walkway because animals are getting in and its nasty. People are not putting the trash in the cans.
We love it here, the office staff and maintenance has been great and Im so appreciative. Unfortunately, parking can be problematic and there are multiple people who leave dog poop allllll over the grounds esp. near the childrens playgrounds. There is one lady who's dog even poops on the sidewalks and my daughters have stepped in it a few times when they weren't paying attention. I try to pick it up when I can but am hesitant because of the health factors as well as the last time I did, I had several Winn Dixie bags full of poop. Other than that though, we are very appreciative of the apartment complex and while some of character of the other residents are a little concerning with their smoking, parking in the middle of the parking lot/being inconsiderate, kids screaming loudly like they were being hurt (or murdered) at the pool (we are right next to the pool in the back) and letting their dogs walk without leashes- we really love it here and feel safe. I feel it's important to note that during the last hurricane, there were not proper safety precautions taken with the trash in the back as the dumpsters were full and all the pool chairs were tied to a fence... If the fence blows, then the chairs would becoming flying projectiles and the trash would definitely become flying projectiles...Also, our patio gets flooded quite a bit as there is no drainage in our area and water pours right off the roof of the bldg. next to us... It got to a point where nothing was being done with past management so I put up sand bags on each side of my patio and that seems to help but I shouldn't have to do that and was very concerned about potential flooding during the hurricane to where I moved all of our furniture into the central part of our apartment. Hope this helps.
It's a nice place to live, the amenities are nice, parking can be a hassle sometimes, the apartments are in fair condition. I wouldn't have a problem recommending this place to someone.
Good place to live, nice renovated places, good neighbors. Issues with the office at times but not a big deal
RENTERS BEWARE!! Find a house for rent instead; I’m paying less now with a large fenced yard and plenty of storage space. I lived here for over 3 years. In Nov 2015 a pipe broke in my wall behind my shower. I called the office as soon as I noticed water in my carpet, approx. 4:45 pm. I received a call back stating the ‘ON CALL’ maintenance worker that day would be working his other job until 10 pm and that he would come after that. When he showed up, he said he thought he knew where the leak was and would call the plumber out the next day. Plumber came and went. A drywall and tile guy came and went. However, I was left the suck up the standing water in my carpet by myself with my own carpet cleaner for OVER 48 HOURS. When the carpet man did finally come, he told us that he was called the day before then cancelled because they wanted the tile guy to come first. Nobody ever dried out the inside of the wall. One Maintenance worker told me there were several inches of water in the wall. Low and behold, when we moved out in mid Feb, there was mold growing in the back of the linen closet in the bathroom. The office assistant told me TWICE in Feb. that we would be prorated Feb rent and would receive a refund check in the mail, once when I paid my Feb rent, and again on the morning of the 24th when I turned in all of our keys. After 45 days I reached out to inquire why I had not received our final move out inspection report and refund for the 24th – 29th of Feb. Javier, the property manager told me that we were on a month to month lease and that we did not provide them at least 15 days notice prior to the end of the month that we were leaving. I have documentation that we provided them notice in December, over 60 days, as well as communication via email, which he replied to, on Feb 8th. Clearly they were notified we were leaving. Javier refuses to refund us our 5 days rent, and instead claims we still owe them our final water bill and threaten to send us to collections. We are seeking legal representation at this time and intend to file suit against Clairmont on the Green in small claims court. Save yourself the troubles and look elsewhere.
