Property Ratings at Napa Valley
They been letting mold grow in my apartment for about 1 month in a half. Come and paint over it, it grow within a few days. Never called a professional to come and check it out after several complaints.
Property Manager at Napa Valley, Responded To This Review
Kentrell, I'm so sorry you feel as if we allowed your concerns to go unheard or neglected. When you first put a work order in regarding your issue, maintenance immediately came over to rectify the problem. When you came by the office, you spoke with me directly and I came to your unit myself. I informed you that I would send maintenance back over as well as send a contractor out to make repairs. The contractor did come out, twice, and remedied the issue. My staff and I take all work orders seriously and get them done as quickly as possible. When dealing with outside contractors, we have to work off of their schedule. If you have further issues with your repairs, please don't hesitate to reach out. Avoid this place. Managers are inconsiderate. Service complained about service call 15 minutes prior to 5 when they get off. They refused to fix the problem. So if you want to be disrespected and pay for that poor service then this is the apartment for you!
Murder in my building (which they lied about) constant maintenance requests & nothing ever being done, staff is rude & unprofessional. New management is sweet, but truly entered into chaos. For YOUR peace and sanity, look elsewhere
Management is so poor, the complex has no regard to its tenants. The neighbors are aggravatingly loud with their bass music and constantly smoking weed so much so that I can smell it just in my apartment. They also leave trash EVERYWHERE. I have seen used condoms just outside my patio. I've emailed, called, texted, to the property managers but again, they have no regard for their tenants.
The location is great. However, there are unexpected charges when you move out for things that are pretty routine for moving out of an apartment. The office staff is not concerned about the property when things break down. Also, it is difficult to talk to the manager because the assistant is like a guard dog. Keep record of what is said with the office staff because they will lie and backtrack. There are break-ins at times in the apartments and cars, so be careful.
If I could give them a 0, I would. I had multiple problems from staff, not finishing work orders and being extremely rude. I was pregnant the last half of my stay and they had me living with mold even though I complained multiple times. The mold was due to the apartment flooding above me and soaking the ceilings and carpets in my own apartment. They fixed the ceiling in the bathroom that had mold but never came back for the rest of it, even when I spoke to the head of maintenance, Zach, about it. My boyfriend tried to call and talk to them about just showing up at the apartment when I had bad morning sickness and was home alone; they just said we denied them entrance over and over again and got rude with my boyfriend. Patrice, leasing agent, even said that I could be a "big girl and talk to them myself." They are now trying to charge me a bunch of money to replace the carpet, we did have animals, but are refusing to acknowledge the fact that there was mold and flooding that caused damage. Their neglect and attitudes during my whole stay is causing me to write this review now. Hannah, the new property manager, is not much better and refuses to work with me on settling the carpet problem (we think we should not have to pay so much because of their neglect) and I even sent her all former emails I have had with staff, pictures of the mold and old un-completed work orders. Also BEWARE when you move in, you don't pay DEPOSITS but FEES and they are non-refundable and will not be used toward anything in the end/you will not get them back.

At Napa Valley Apartments, expect very high water bills. I have a one bedroom apartment with 2 occupants and my water bill is $60 a month plus an additional $8.99 for trash. There is always a leak somewhere and it is my feeling that we are getting charged for those leaks that are left to run for days or water running into a full pool for greater than 12 hours. I just discussed this with my neighbor and he and his wife are also fed up with the water bill and are moving out (lease is up). He said that he also has seen many leaks that are left for days. He and his wife were out of town for the past two months and were still billed more than $60 for water and the $8.99 for trash. Water is over $60 (for 1 bedroom, 2 residents, 650 sq. feet; Was told the water is dependent on square feet and # of occupants) Trash Service is $8.99 (# of residents does not matter) Pest Control is $4.99 (# of residents does not matter) I spoke to a woman on the phone that lives in an MAA apartment complex in Little Rock, other than Napa Valley, and she told me that she has 3 people in her apartment and her bill is less than mine. The Napa Valley Complex only has 6 meters for 14 buildings so they consolidate the bills and then divides it up between each apartment. Therefore, it does not matter how much more or how much less water you use. There is a separate meter for watering the grounds but I have been told that when there are major leaks, whether the resident water or the sprinkler systems, charges are raised slightly to make up for those leaks over time so it is not so obvious. I was told this by a Napa Valley employee.

We're so sorry to hear of the frustration our plumbing fixtures and water bills have caused you! Our team works hard to make sure issues with your home and our community overall are addressed in a timely manner, and we sincerely apologize if your experience has fallen short of expectations. Please know that we're committed to addressing possible leaks and the resulting effects on your water bill immediately. If you'd like to speak to us directly about your concerns, please call 866-620-1130.
The apartments here have large rooms and spacious closets. The flooring is the faux wood laminate, which looks great, but could never replaced real wood. There's space for a washer and dryer and the living room comes with the choice of a book shelf or a fire place. The counter tops are faux marble, but look great. The management is polite and the maintenance is quick about responding to repair requests. The huge con for me is that there are a lot of pet owners that do not pick up behind their pets. Otherwise wonderful place to live though.
