Directly across the Potomac River from Washington, D.C., Arlington is less a suburb than an extension of the nation’s capital. It’s the home of the Pentagon, Arlington National Cemetery, and Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, with a number of waterfront parks offering beautiful views across the river to the National Mall.
The community provides a wide range of living options, from apartments, townhomes, and duplexes to condos and houses. A major reason for Arlington’s popularity is that there is so much to do. Washington may be packed with monuments, museums, and other sightseeing landmarks, but Arlington holds the advantage when it comes to the more day-to-day shopping, dining, entertainment, and nightlife.
You’ll have several options for getting around town or into D.C., whether you choose to drive, take the Metro, or ride your bike — Arlington has earned a silver rating from the League of American Bicyclists.

Property Ratings at National Landing
I lived at Common at National Landing for 2 years in a private studio. The studios are ideal if you live alone and want something furnished. I loved the apartment itself, but the common and outdoor areas were questionable. Prior to living here I had never seen a cockroach in my life but had to have my apt treated for cockroaches 6 times. I also observed them throughout the building on multiple occasions. The courtyard is inhabited by homeless people and full of trash. To add- I moved out 8 weeks ago and have still not received my security deposit or any communication regarding my move out.
The leasing office and management are unprofessional. Please avoid living here. I had a virtual tour, they show me a room and sent me an email about it, but they gave me a different one!! And refused to fix that unless I pay more! And the manager said “it was by mistake but we can’t do anything, and if you want what that room you have to pay more” just wow
Bad management and no follow up unless it is money related. Prison like rooms with windows and lots of issues WIFi and elevators and laundry.
I have lived in this building for longer than any other resident and it used to be great when it was WeLive. Since Common took over this summer I’d like to share my experience with the new management. The building itself is falling apart. A friend of mine was just trapped in the elevator, I’ve been trapped in the elevator previously, and my keycard hasn’t worked for the elevator in 2 weeks. They’ve removed many amenities that were here only a few months ago - most of the tvs, the game console, the ping pong table, snacks/food, kitchen supplies, and they’ve given up any hope of doing any real events even though small in-person gatherings have been allowed for months. All of these things used to be a lot more common before the new management at Common. There’s mold in the kitchen and the sewage is so much of a consistent problem they’ve closed the only bathrooms not in the apartments themselves. Then when the new management wants to show up at my door and threaten me with eviction for refusing to pay a pet fee for a pet I don’t own, that’s it - after 5 years I’m done. Stay away from this place.
The leasing team here takes days to respond to inquiries. They truly don't care if you rent from them or not.
The worst place if you love your peace don’t move here! The worst you don’t have a phone number where you can reach to them or ask question or where they can Fix the issues with your apartment or your account I’m more than a month here and i don’t have an account where I cant see what I’m paying or pay in my account because they never fixed and send me a email saying that since they didn’t hear from me they will closed the case?? They never open a case!!and now they are closing the case??
No accountability, not responsive, constant problems.
I have lived at WeLive for almost a year now. It has been one of the best experiences. From the weekly events to the community feel. It makes a new city feel at home. The front desk guy Chris and staff have always been super helpful. Always available for any questions that may come up or informing about events in the building. Getting close to signing another year lease. Looking forward to seeing what’s next.
My teenage son and I moved into WeLive as a trial, and we absolutely have loved our time here. Unlike most places, we know our neighbors and feel a real sense of community. The events and activities (bookclub, yoga, cooking classes, wine tastings) are fun, the space is well-designed, safe and cozy. Our simplified space and lifestyle has made room for the things that matter - experiences, people, connection.
I have lived in this apartment for nearly four years. Set just off route 1 there is a high walk ability that favors convenience. Easy access to bars, shops and the Crystal city metro station. The employees as well as the maintenance crew here go above and beyond to be helpful and answer any questions you may have about your apartment. What drew me here was the sense of community. The one for all and all is one attitude is what separates this apartment from most others I have lived in. Yet the residents are quite a mixture: young and old. Married with family and single. I highly recommend WeLive DC area as a place to choose for people looking for great place to live in the Arlington/DC area.
Start to finish working with the WeLive team was easy. Setting up a tour was easy and a few weeks later all of the paperwork was signed. Two things that appeal to me about living in WeLive are the amenities and sense of community. First, the apartments are completely furnished with high-quality items with a fun style. I literally only needed to move in with my suitcase of clothes and laptop in hand (as advertised on the site!)Furniture is sturdy and large flat screen TV with cable is a plus. In the event something does need a repair, a huge shout out to the maintenance team! My roommates and I can easily report it in the app and repairs so far have never taken more than 24 hours. Rent also includes a monthly cleaning, which is a plus. While the individual apartment units are smaller than other buildings I've lived in in DC, the common room spaces are incredibly spacious. I've had no problem hosting large brunches with friends, games nights, etc. Second, I enjoy living in a building that isn't as anonymous as other housing I've had elsewhere in DC. WeLive staff greets me by name and I know my neighbors. Every day of the week there is a building event (Monday breakfast, book clubs, wine nights, cooking, yoga, movie night, etc.). My schedule doesn't allow me to attend many of the events, but neighbors are always incredibly friendly.
I relocated to Arlington/DC area in September 2018 and was extremely lucky to get into an apartment at WeLive DC. From day one to present the staff, accommodations and community style living have been outstanding. WeLive and WeWork staff frequently sponsor social events and encourage tenant interaction via the recreation rooms, kitchens, and outdoor gardens. I had one minor issue with my kitchen sink and reported it as i left to run some errands. When i returned an hour later the maintenance staff had repaired it and i couldn't even tell they had been there. The WeLive app makes communication with fellow tenants and staff simple. This may be an apartment but community style living makes it feels like a home. Cant say enough about the staff and the positive environment. It is located within walking distance to so many great resteraunts and running/biking/walking trails. I highly recommend WeLive DC area as a place to choose for people looking for great place to live in the Arlington/DC area.
