Property Ratings at New Castle Crossing
i thought moving here would be great but it was not! my third day moving there, my bf car got broken into and the office did not help at! i started to park my car but the post office just in case if mines got broken into & i can’t do anything nor can they. there’s no cameras so anything can happen. safety is not a priory in their eyes, what apartment place doesn’t have cameras?? especially if it’s a big area. it’s easy to get robbed and potentially much worse bc people know there’s no cameras. management is nice and understandable but they suck & do not care at all. once a month, maintenance come and spray for “bugs” but bugs easily get in (mainly crickets). I swear at least every other day, i was killing a bug. it’s only an a/c in the living room so other parts of the apartment gets really hot & it’s torture so your forced to spend money on an a/c to put in the bedroom. the trash outside is filthy, people place anything out by the dumpster and it smells.

This place is the worst. Do you like waking up covered in dew because the humidity outside and inside are the same? Do you like cold showers in a bathroom that never dries out ecause it has no fan? Do you like waking up to sirens every single night? Do you like your neighbors being drug dealers and finding dirty syringes in the parking lots? Do you like bugs (they spray inside your apartment once a month “as a preventative measure” and we all know what that means...)? Do you like having to get comcast to come fix your internet because the raccoons in the attic chewed through the wires in their noisy nightly adventures? Do you like your entire apartment smelling of mold and cigarette smoke, while you pay through the roof to use the a/c in a single room? No. Of course you don’t. You get what you pay for. My new place has zero police reports in the last week. This place? Over 20 reports. It’s not good and I have no idea how it has any stars at all.

This place is horrible. Been here about 2 months now and upon moving in I thought it was nice. That lasted for about a week before I had issues with our oven not working. Roaches popping up and upon bringing it to managements attention they asked for pictures as proof. Took pictures and then they try to came it's not a roach. Ceiling has a crack and now that it's raining the ceiling is leaking. The ceiling crack was reported over a week ago. They allow tenets to throw trash all over the parking lot near the dumpster and when I say trash I mean from trash bags to mattresses to other large items. Any other place I know jumps on top of this and at least sends out a written notice to all tenents. The washers are not working and have been down for over 2 weeks. I asked for a light bulb to be changed in my refrigerator 2 weeks ago and while the maintenance and took the blown out bulb I still have yet to recieve a new one. We have keys to our apartment building for entry but there's no point of having one because with a little tug the door can can opened and maintenance has yet to replace. That's not all but I will stop ranting now. Stay away and this experience has taught me take pictures/video and write everything down because soon I will be taking matters into my own hands.
We have lived here about 15 years, when this place was considered the hood. Meaning, it was a bad place to live full of bad people who caused bad problems for the residents. Since we moved back at Hampton we have found that management has really cleaned this place up! Its a great place to raise your family and to retire. It has been beautifully remodeled and updated. The current staff makes you feel welcome and appreciated, they are wonderful professionals and act professional. They make you feel like you really are at home. The girls at the office are great. This is a very welcoming community now. The Revels
I moved out of my apartment today and I am very sad. Due to starting my new career, I will be relocating to Dover,DE. Nonetheless, Hampton Walk was truly one of my favorite places to live. The management has been AMAZING, and always made sure issues were handled professionally and promptly. I have a feeling I will be back soon, because I haven't been treated this well anywhere else. Hampton Walk is in a great location, I-95 access right there, and good restaurants closeby. I highly recommend this place, especially to anyone seeking their first apartment.
Just moved into Hampton Walk today. Still getting settled in but so far I like the area, the development seems pretty quiet despite so many children around here. The maintenance staff have been really nice and helpful during my process of moving in. I'm just still trying to get used to my new surroundings. I only wish the refrigerator was a bit bigger and the hallways be repainted. But overall I like it so far.
Hello my name is Letetia Burwell and have just moved in my new apt at Hampton Walk Apartments. I must reach out to Corporate about the services given by the team you have here. When I say top of the line , I mean top of the line services. I'm so happy and bless to be apart of Hampton Walks and the maintenance team is awesome. Management is one of the best resident team I've every worked with in my experience in living in a apartment complex. I've been very sick due to an accident and had to get back on my feet and start all over and Hamton Walks was one of the first places I seached and came to my family assistance. From the bottom of my heart and prayers you all will be very pleased of my family and stay in our everyday prayers. Thank you God Bless Ms. Letetia Burwell
I wasn't going to give them a chance after I read a lot of negative reviews online about them. I decided to at least go take a look because their special they were offering was pretty decent. After seeing it for my self I was pleasantly surprised a lot of the negative points about the neighborhood came from how it used to be in the past. Now they have a new staff that are really trying and they have been doing major renovations to make it look better and to deal with all the problems from the past that pushed people away like bugs and stuff. It helps that I know someone who lives there now and she said everything is much better than it used to be. I signed my lease a week ago and I was even more impressed when I moved in today and saw my apartment for the first time....it's really much nicer than I thought it would be and for the price I'm paying I can't complain. My building is clean and renovated and there's a lock on the front door that's all I'm worried about. I can use my skills to take care of the rest and make my place a home.
I have been a resident here for about 2 1/2 years and I will say the new management team is the best experience I have had so far. I like the fact that there is a lot of parking and near the highway. If I could change one thing, it would be the laundry room. It has worn down since they renovated it. But there is a brand new laundry mat that is about 2 minutes from here. I haven't had any roaches or mouse problems thankfully. Still debating whether or not I am renewing my lease. But overall good choice for little money.
This is my first apartment on my own and things have been great for the most part. The only thing is the constant roaches and bugs. The claim to have exterminators monthly and make you remove all the stuff from the areas from where they are supposed to be treating but it's not working. I've placed my own traps which seems to do the trick. But otherwise I love my neighborhood
While the maintenance is not all that great, the complex is conveniently located and pretty quiet.
When I first moved into the neighborhood I was in love with my apartment, everything was perfect. As time went on we started noticing little problems that the rental office took forever to fix. After living here for a little over 3 years my fiancé passed away. Which made everything harder for me. The rent went up and I took on everything myself since my fiancés support was gone. Struggling month after month, I've yet to move because I feel like I'd be leaving him if I do move. The apartment overall depending on who your neighbors are could use improvements, definitely need upgrades and a better HVAC unit.
I moved here a month ago and overall I am happy. The makeup of the complex is primarily hispanic, but overall it is pretty diverse with african american and caucasian. If you've seen some views of Hampton Walk you will here people talk about roaches. When i first moved in i did see roaches and wasn't having it. I went to management and they sent in pest control within a couple days and I haven't seen any since. They responded quickly and they did the entire building. They are under new management and that helps a great deal. The office staff is wonderful and friendly and while busy they do do their best. Overall I am happy here. Theres plenty of children if you have any. I wish there was a park tho. It's quiet for the most part, some music here and there, moreso on weekends. But good place to live.
