Property Ratings at New Country Club Estates
Great and affordable place to live close to Hartford. Calm, quiet place next to the woods. Very nice location (right next to the mall, Stanley Park and supermarkets). Staff is very helpful with any issues.
I’ve been living here for almost 4 years now and I can honestly say it’s been great. It’s quiet. Plenty of parking. Secure. It’s close to the highway. Shopping. 2 parks with plenty to do. Golf course across the street. Cyndi ( office manager)and Chet( maintenance) have been great. I highly recommend!!
I’ve been living here for 3 years as I attended school nearby. It is the most convenient place to live since it’s near almost anything you would need (stores, groceries, gas, parks, college, hospital, gyms, etc). Also of all my years living here, neighbors are really nice and always felt safe!
I have been living in this community for over 4 years. It’s clean, quiet and it’s literally next to everything. Easy access to the 84, and route 9, mall and the shopping plazas. Any repairs (which were few in 4 years) were done within hours of it being reported.good place to live.. ohhh plus great closet space :)
This is an excellent place to live, it’s clean quiet and it’s literally next to everything. You have easy access to the highway, mall and the shopping plaza were Best Buy is located. The building is quiet not a lot of traffic and it’s clean.
We lived here for 2 years and only moved out because of a new job in Chicago. The apartment complex is quiet, there's ample parking, the washing machines in the basement work really well, and most importantly, it's quiet & safe. We lived on the top floor in a 1 bedroom and never heard our neighbors. Any issues we had with maintenance were quickly addressed and Cindy and Pat in the office were always quick to respond. We particularly liked how quickly they took action on issues & the Friday treats. If we are to move back to the area we know where our first call will be!
We have lived here 2 years and are only moving due to buying a house. This is a quiet and clean place to live. Very convenient to parks, shopping and restaurants. The surveillance cameras and well lit parking lot are also huge pluses. Maintenance is on top of any issues you may have no matter how small. Definitely will recommend to friends and family!
Living here has been a very enjoyable experience. It is close to everything we need, a lovely park, the mall, and off street parking and surveillance to top it off. Would definitely recommend to family and friends! Very quiet neighborhood as well.
I have been living here for 2 years (4th floor - thankfully with no one above me) and it has been perfectly acceptable. The apartment complex is quiet with ample parking for everyone & their guests. Where I dock this place is the issue with not being able to place an AC unit in your bedroom because of the vertical windows. The apartments (I live in a 1 bedroom) only have an AC unit in the living room and many times during the summer months I find myself sleeping in the living room. It is truly unbearable. Maybe on the lower floors it's better but if you don't deal well with the heat I would tell you to maybe look for another spot. Another issue is that the water goes from hot to absolutely SCALDING often. This is a huge issue and if I was bathing my kid in here I would be petrified. I mean scalding to the point where if you stand under it for more than 2 seconds it would burn you, hot. Just be aware. The hallways resemble those of your grandma's home, but don't bother me since my apt is just fine. The kitchen is also quite small with very little countertop space. Otherwise it's nice to have heat & hot water included.
After spending a long time searching for a single bedroom apartment in the area, I finally settled on this place due to the price and location being what I was looking for. I'll start by saying that it's not a bad deal, not incredibly noisy especially if you're in the back building, and you shouldn't rule it out if you're looking for something in this price range. However I do have a few complaints. At first my apartment had a few house centipedes in it, which the ditzy ladies at the front desk told me to just spray with raid until they went away. The problem has subsided now but that might just be the winter. Also, it is always very hot in my room even in the dead of winter, and I'm in the basement. I never hear noise from next door but sometimes I think the room above me is gonna come crashing down on me. No dishwasher but there is a garbage disposal. You win some you lose some with this place
Completely unsafe living environment. You can't take a step without the floors creaking. To make it worse, other tenants will bang on ceilings, floors, or even come up and bang on your door. Management is totally hands off and will just tell you to contact the police. I would not recommend this place to anyone living alone or with children.
Property Manager at New Country Club Estates, Responded To This Review
Dear Resident, we are sorry to hear that you feel you're living in an unsafe environment. We have spoken to your the neighbor below you in regards to knocking on your door as well as about banging on the ceiling and have put measures in place with the resident and the on-site super to verify any noise complaints filed by said resident before you are to be contacted, ceilings banged on, etc. If you are feeling unsafe we would encourage anyone to contact the police; your safety is a priority and unfortunately no one can guarantee your safety but the police may be able to assist you in feeling safe. If you still feel as though we could do more in regards to the situation with the neighbor I would welcome the opportunity to speak with you and help ease your safety concerns. We never want a resident to be so unhappy and are truly concerned that you sound unhappy in your home.
I would recommend Country Club Estates to anyone looking for a quiet, well-maintained and centrally located apartment. We lived here for four years and we are only moving because we bought a house. Staff was always courteous to us and helped us out with whatever we needed. Any repairs (which were very few) were done within hours of it being reported. It was quiet and we never heard our neighbors next door. Plus, what can beat free heat and hot water, especially in the winter? This is a great complex and one well worth renting.
I have been living in a 1 bedroom unit for 9 months now and so far, my experience has been alright. Upon moving in, I was disappointed to find out that there was no dishwasher, which was a bummer. This is the first place I ever lived that has a shared laundry room, but to my surprise, it's not so bad. It is not often that I have problems with not being able to use any of the machines, and it is actually nice to be able to wash multiple loads simultaneously and get everything done within 90 minutes. The staff are friendly, helpful and I have no complaints about them. They are always on top of things, address things in a very timely fashion, and they even sign for package deliveries and keep them securely stored in the main office until you pick them up. Sometimes, they will even drop them off in your apartment. My biggest complaint is that I can literally hear every footstep of the guy who lives above me, and it makes a loud cracking floor noise with every step. Very annoying to the point it has woken me up early in the morning. Also, this place has a house centipede problem. I had to have them exterminate my unit, which happened to drastically reduce the problem, fortunately. The shower water can fluctuate from warm to HOT, then back to cold, and doesn't really remain consistent, which is very annoying. It's because the pipes are shared extensively. I also wish I had more space for storage and other things, but the living room size is pretty good. One thing to beware of however, is that Verizon's mobile signal strength in this whole area is weak. I never ever get more than two bars on 4G LTE, unfortunately. For units on the ground floor, you are provided with a portable AC unit. It does a decent job at cooling down the entire apartment, but I feel that it isn't as effective as it should be. I also do not like having to walk through hallways, staircases, doors, etc. just to get to my car. The property is located close to a busy road, but honestly, it's not really an issue, and I am picky with that. There is a firehouse across the street, but it's not often that you hear sirens. The location, considering it is in New Britain, is actually pretty desirable and very close and convenient to major shopping malls, Target and Costco. If you are willing to live with some inconveniences without the bells and whistles, aren't looking for luxury, and interested in saving money, I would recommend this place.
Pros: 1)Responsive maintenance; 2) Package signing; & 3)Location. Cons: 1) Noisy Neighbors; 2) Smell Neighbor's Cigarette and Marijuana smoke through open windows; 3) No place to leave your car during snow removal if out of town- car will be towed; & 4) Your security deposit is a source of revenue to them- you will not get the entire amount back no matter what. Recommendations: 1) Have super low expectations; 2) Do not depend on your Deposit; 3)Have them inspect before you clean when you plan to move out. About me: Lived there for 4 years, paid rent on time every month, super quiet, and love leaving things in way better condition than I find them.
These apt. are in a quiet neighborhood that are close to the West Hartford Mall, 84 and route 9 with plenty of parking. Has a good space for their one bedroom, even comes extra storage space. They are always upgrading and even has a security system.
From the friendly main office to the hardworking maintenance crew, this place was AWESOME!! Being ex military attention to detail is crucial to me, and they get that. If it wasn't for the fact that I am moving into my first house I would not have left this place. It is right next to everything. I cannot count how many times last summer I decided to walk to the park almost right across the street. It was great. Any time we had an issue it was resolved within the day. One day I had a very important package delivered and would not be able to pick it up at the office in time on my way home from work. Were did I find it? Sitting on my kitchen table ready for me when i got home. If that is not above and beyond I don't know what is. Since I am writing this after I have already left I would like to say one more final Thank You for this past year.
This place is basically a nightmare. It's located next to a main street and also there is a fire house right at the corner, so you will be bothered by noise almost all the time. The building is so old that you can hear your neighbors talking next door or walking upstairs. Last but not least, the leasing office staff are the worst I have ever seen. They pretend to be nice at first to get you sign the lease, but after that they become very rude, ignore your requests and do whatever they can to charge you for things you are not supposed to pay. Stay away as much as you can.
I was concerned about the size of the apartment at showing as I didn't think all my furniture would fit; upon move-in I realized I actually needed to buy a few additional pieces of furniture for both the living room and bedroom. My dining table that seats six fits perfectly. The one major downside is the kitchen; the kitchen is galley style and counter top space is limited and the cabinets and counter tops are dated. I could have opted for a remodeled kitchen for a slightly higher rent but even the older kitchen still looks nice. My apartment is very quiet as well which was important to me; I don't want to go home to a party environment I wanted to go home to unwind and not hear what my neighbors are doing. I've never heard a peep from any of my neighbors. Maintenance is never an issue; Chet is great! The two service requests I've called in were promtply taken care of (one of which was user error with the disposal). The Office staff was very polite whenever I've spoken with them (both before and after move-in). For the rent you can't beat the size of the apartment or the location which is just minutes to shopping and dining.
It was a nightmare to live in this place. The nighbors were very noisy and they kept making noise everynight. Their were walking back and forth. The bad thing was that the managers did take care about the complains. Their ingored everything and always asking for money.
love the location of the site, inside looks great.
