Property Ratings at New Haven
All positive reviews are written by management or by people that management asked. This place is the worst. There is nothing luxurious about it. It’s overly-priced, has a distinguishing SEVERE roach problem. Lousy amenities and ridiculous management practices.
I have been living here for 3 years, and in that amount of time the maintenance staff is great! They fix problems shortly after reporting them and once I had a problem 2a.m. and was taken care of immediately. The snow removal team is always showing up early, plowing and applying salt to make sure everyone has access to the electric gate without a problem. Special thanks to Mr.Roy for overseeing his team and making sure they do a good job.
They love taking your rent payments but Complaints are dismissed or get ignored; just shut up & pay your rent
I've regretted moving here since the 1st month! Where do I begin? 1. No security guard 2. The washer and dryers are old as Moses! In the larger building 6 of the washers and 5 dryers aren't working! The building I'm in the washer and dryer on all 3 floors are not working! 3. Roaches 4. In the winter went without hot water 3x! 5. They don't put the heat on until mid November! 6. Must buy a $700 special type of wall unit air conditioner! 7.Management sucks! 8. Have to carpet the apartment 80 percent! 9. If you get locked out of your apartment $65 each time! 10. Parking is $65-$90 a month. 11. They keep advertising "luxury" please! 12. The walls and floors are so thin that you can hear your neighbors tv, radios, walking, snoring, etc. 13. Nothing is done to remediate any problems you have with your neighbors!!!!! 14. Have to pay hidden fees such as guard rails, smoke alarm, key fees, installation of air conditioner fee. If I could give them a negative rating I would -10 !!! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO LIVE!! MY TIME IS ALMOST OVER! CAN'T WAIT TO BREAK FREE OF THIS MONSTROSITY!!!
I currently stay in this apartment, it's needs an update. It an old place and need renovation. The apartment spells of weed always and can be very annoying specially when the rent is so high. I regret moving in because the place has a lot of roaches. When you walk in inside, u will see roaches everywhere, in the hallway and elevator. So disgusting especially when you coming in with your guest, it feels like u stay in a project apartment. Have complained to the management and nothing has been done. The elevator is covered with wood. Can't wait for my lease to be over and move out asap.
My building agent, David, has been great. Very professional and made sure that I was apprised of all available options to select an apartment. I am pleased. The only issue that I had us that I was shown an apartment, which suddenly was unavailable when I came back later with deposit. I had to select another apartment for a GREATER rental fee. Interesting. Nevertheless, I have been happy with David. U hope the building is secure as it seems! Looking forward to moving in.
The security is good, the grounds are ok, they charge if you want to park in the lot or garage (otherwise you might have to walk a block or two because parking outside is tight), but the cockroach problem is real. You have to be home one Saturday a month for their mandatory extermination and if you're not, they threaten to fine you. Even if you allow them to spray every month and are very clean, you will see cockroaches (they also list bedbugs and mice on their signs but I haven't seen any of those). Then, if you report those cockroaches, the management will act surprised and suggest spraying again (that's never worked, they're just creating an illusion of compliance), take pictures and claim there is no problem. I'm surprised it's legal to claim they're "luxury" apartments. The appliances are on their last legs, the units are mediocre at best and office staff can be very rude if you contact them for anything.
New Haven Place staff have been so gracious to my family and I. The staff has been awesome from security to the maintenance staff I love Roy staff for the quick responds to my needs.
It's a good apartment. Has security. If you leave your keys and they recognize you they will let you in. Has a big parking lot, also has two big garage. Has a luxurious lobby. Has a laundromat. Has a gym, but its not that big. The inside and outside is well kept and clean. Friendly employees. The apartments has a lot of closets for storage. Has a mail room. Has a spacious living room. Overall a good apartment
It is ok but, school system is not good.I need a good environment for my children so that the could be good rollmodel
the apts are over priced. one bedroom $1353.00 a month that's if you're not late. then late fees and bank fees up to $300 plus additional. on a school safety salary, deeper in debt. don't know what to do. sacrifice food just to pay rent. bldgs fairly clean. many roaches where there's once a month spraying. must find a cheaper place most like worse place on my salary. I'm at my wits end.
Apartment very spacious. However, management very lax when it comes to renters needs/request. If it wasn't for my in house broker, James, from the Queens office, I would not like neing here. Everything is a charge. They advertise a move-in special, however, I still don't know what that is?!
This building has a HUGE roach problem. Been living here for almost 20months and can hardly wait for my lease to expire. I have done through exterminating service monthly, have done private, and have invested into my own practices to the point I feel I could have a license. Way more than I ever wanted to know and learn about roaches. To make matters worse my apartment location which is near elevator shaft is part of the reason the roaches keep entering and the management company flat out refused to work with me on changing apartments despite having been here over a year and having a perfect payment record. DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!!!!!!
I really was unsure of what to expect until the young lady who I had spoken to began her approach. I was happy with her honesty. She explained how everything worked and what we would need to apply for application. What I like is they were pleasant and friendly. That is a plus. First impression. The apartment was the apartment was nice. I felt a little safer there than were I am now renting. I am looking forward to moving soon.
