Property Ratings at Newport Apartments
Apartments flood due to foundation issues that they refuse to address, maintenance never fixes anything. Rent is too high for how outdated everything is.
I have been living here for 3 weeks. I was unable to tour the apartment because I lived in FL. The day we were supposed to move in, 30 minutes out we got a call that said our apartment wasn’t ready. That was the first red flag. They had known we were coming for over a month. How was the apartment still not ready? The next day when we came to look at it and sign the papers I was shocked. We were RUSHED to sign those papers and that is our fault but they should have let us take our time. This place needed SO MUCH. these apartments aren’t exactly “cheap” but that apartment is so crappy. The walls have cracks, there’s SO MUCH MOLD! ROTTING WOOD! And the bathtub looks the worst. Cracked and rust. I can not believe anyone let this apartment be rented out. The management is crap too. Their job is to make these apartments feel like Home to people living here. And they are not doing anything. Just do yourself a favor. Read the other comments and know they are telling the truth. You can do better.
Apartments flood, insects, A/C doesn’t work, heat is extremely loud, water drains very slowly in tub, toilets randomly run, not safe area, loud neighbors, and many other issues!!!

Literally canceled 2 hours before my appointment after I drove 3 hours to get there. ?????? Luckily, I have other apartments to view today so neither my time nor gas is wasted.
I went to Newport apartment complex 3/10/2021 and seen a sign on the door saying they was closed to the public due to Covid & you must make a appointment. I proceeded to go on their website and make a appointment for the next day 3/11/2021. The website only gave me certain time frames to choose from. I chose 3pm which was the best time for me. When that time came I arrived 30 min early and sat in my car until 2:55. I called & texted the apartment complex & wasnt getting a answer nor a response in text. I knocked on the door and when a male leasing agent and/or manger answered I told him I had a appointment @3pm to view a apartment. He responded he’s on break & doesn’t get off of break until 3:30. I told him that my appointment is at 3 tho & he responded your the one who picked that time. I said I shouldn’t have been able to pick 3:00 as my appointment time if you was going to be on lunch & there wasn’t gonna be anybody to assist me. He proceeded to say “I don’t have to deal with this or answer to you” and closed the door. This was a waste of my time and my gas. Considering the fact that I was getting text messages and emails reminding me what time my appointment was if he was gonna be on lunch he could have communicated that with me & rescheduled. That was very unprofessional and if they are unprofessional now they will be unprofessional if I moved in.
One of the worst places to live in Nashville. Under new management. They are not investing into the property, they are only seeking returns. View the pool area. Trash behind the apartments. They will not fix anything in the buildings. You will be calling them everyday to have an issue fixed. You hear planes flying all night near the airport disrupting your sleep. Your mail will be secured nor will your packages be protected. Graffiti is sprayed on garbage cans and on the cement. They charge you for prestige control and never hire a company to come spray. They will increase your rent 5-7% after your first year. Management has changed four times since, I've lived there. Employees do not stay long with the company because they know they treat their residents I'll. Please do not waste your time looking at this location. Many many other locations to look at, that you could call home. I lived there for two years and I haven't been more happier at my new location. Thank me now!!!!!
