San Antonio blends a rich heritage with modern innovation, resulting in a metropolis teeming with true Texan heart. San Antonio’s distinctive environment reflects centuries of style and a diverse array of culture, which is best exemplified in the La Villita Historic Arts Village. The Alamo may be the most renowned structure in the city, but there are plenty of magnificent historical buildings to see—from the Emily Morgan Hotel to the Meyer Halff House.
Stretched along the San Antonio River is the famous River Walk, where residents and visitors alike can walk or bike from the San Antonio Zoo to the Witte Museum, the historic Majestic Theatre, the Shops at Rivercenter, the Missions of San Antonio and back again.
The city and the surrounding region offer endless opportunities for exploration.

Property Ratings at Newport Apartments
Most mid apartments ever. Water always getting shut off for "emergencies". Neighbors are loud. Pool hours are short and useless for the summer. Always some type of renovation going on. Dumpsters overflow constantly making it look messy. Parking situation is garbage and management will try to illegally tow you. The only good thing is the maintenance team, always working fast to resolve issues. Do not move here.
These apartments aren’t worth what they charge. They’re poorly kept. I have and have had mildew on my ceiling and they dont do anything but paint over it when you ask for them to do something about it. The paint doesn’t kill mold and mildew. It come back through the paint. The property is also dangerous. Theres constant shooting in the complex and domestic violence. The police are here often.
I HATE these apartments, the management is terrible. The are price gauging the complex with extra/hidden fees from water, trash, and pest control. I've never seen pest control. Instead of purchasing more dumpsters, they have trash pickup more than once a week and they are charging the tenants. They are rude. Worst Pinnacle property ever!
Newport should shut their doors. Was denied apt and it took 4 MONTHS for them to return my refund. I called 3 times a week over the course of four months regarding my refund. It got to the point where they(corporate)would reject my phone calls. In my last attempt to reach them i mentioned the word lawyer and they immediately called back AFTER rejecting my call twice. By far the most difficult application process...ridiculous. Save yourself the trouble and get an apartment locator to deal with all that for you bc this place knows nothing about customer service..nor are they concerned..
WORST apartment management I have ever dealt with. They will screw you over and not be helpful in any way. They want your money and will do anything to scam you. The management does not care about its tenants, and nobody will respond to emails or phone calls. Apartments are damaged, dirty, and they do nothing to help out tenants with issues.
First of I want to start by saying the staff that's there now is terrible, when they started they told me they were there to fix everything Courtney and Marta didn't do, I strongly believe Courtney and Marta were way better than these new girls!! The girl on the front desk to your right straight up lied to me when I went in there a few times about getting light bulbs, she said she did ask maintenance but they had used them all and were getting some more, I walked out of the office right after she told me that, saw one of the maintenance guys and asked him for lightbulbs he right away said yeah come with me to get them from the storage and gave me a box of 6 light bulbs so that's how you know she didn't even care to ask!! Every time you walk in she's on her phone and it's really uncomfortable because one time I walked in and she was video chatting, I don't want her boyfriend or whoever she's talking to hear my business!! And now her new thing is to turn off all the lights right at 5 pm, every time I go in after 5 she's on her phone with all the lights off when her closing time is 5:30 or 6pm I'm not sure because they just changed their hours. The assistant manager seems a little more helpful but she needs to pay more attention to who's working the front. I've gone there a couple times about this dog running around pooping everywhere without a leash or collar, we know which apt it comes out of and we've told the office but we still see this dog running around barking at people and pooping everywhere!! My apt flooded about 4 weeks ago, they were supposed to come fix the carpet and clean it after it flooded and still nothing, my carpet is still bumpy all over and who knows what kind of bacteria we're walking on since they never came to clean it! I could go on forever on to everything this apts have done to me but then I would never finish this review! Like the time they gave me a broken garage after asking for one for over a month and the guys than went to fix it couldn't fix it and left it open with all our belongings in it!! I mean overall apts are just horrible and can't wait to get out!!!!!
I have lived here for 2 years. The grounds and pool are well kept. This is the best thing I can say about the property. The main gate has not worked for just about a year. The buildings are poorly constructed. If the downstairs unit slams their door my whole apartment shakes...this happens daily. Many apartment have flooded, the carpet people are hear constantly. My apartment flooded. The baseboard are made of pressed cardboard and swelled up. Full of mold I'm sure, they have not been replaced. My ice maker and dishwasher have not worked for 5 months. I have submitted several maintenance request, they get closed out. I emailed the manager and was asked if they could come and look at the issue. I said anytime...they never came.
I recently moved to this apartment complex due to their beautiful scenery, great location, and low prices. However, within one month many issues began to unravel starting with management. Starting with my first online rent payment online, I immediately received a confirmation number within a few minutes. Unknowingly inserting the wrong card numbers, leading me to notice that the money was still in my account for a week. With confusion, I called the office to confirm my payment, but I instead received surprising news that I was going to get evicted for not paying. Long story short I was left to pay $105 of late fees without any sort of notification over the issue all week. However, my dishwasher, fridge, and disposal are in needed of maintenance for the past 3 weeks now. The worst part overall is the pack of raccoons living in the area and migrates from trashcan to trashcan causing a dangerous situation for anyone going near them.To conclude, Newport is run by a very poor management who doesn't seem to care about the resident's needs or safety.
This is a great apartment building with easy and quick access to IH-35 and 410. Near Wurzbach Parkway and down the street from restaurants and grocery stores. Some cons to living here is the HORRIBLE parking situation. If you plan on going out at night, forget about finding any parking at all. The walls are paper thin and floor vibrates every step you take. The staff and maintenance people are very friendly and quick to respond. The building is old but they keep it up as much as possible. The rooms are big and the walk-in closet is HUGE! That's always a plus. They are currently updating the fence and added new seating area by the pool. The prices are great and the main street is hidden so there is no major traffic noise to worry about. I have been here for a year and I am planning to renew my lease when it comes up pretty soon.
Very large problems with with any repair. Most problems only makeshift addressed by untrained personel . Will move when the lease is over. This place looks great on the outside and the office staff are very friendly.
