Nexus East

One of the coolest pool areas in East Austin. I have been to a lot, and none are as beautiful as here. The landscaping and maintenance of the pool is great. Pool is huge. 2 grill areas. Lots of seating. Cleaning crew comes early in the mornings to deep clean everything. Pool is consistently vacuumed and cleaned. Most apartment pools in Austin get pretty gross. Not the case here. Good sun exposure during the summer months from about 11am to 7pm. My girlfriend and I are at the pool pretty much everyday from June - September.

I moved in and within days was having problems with my ac which they were slow to fix. Shortly after that there was a rain storm that leaked through my ceiling and created a huge mold stain. It took them a couple days to get the leak sealed up but nothing got done about the mold. They said I could wait weeks for a new unit and then dragged their feet trying to move me into something else within a reasonable amount of time. I was eventually allowed to terminate my lease after a week of being lied to and pushed to the side. They tried to tell me I owed them money and kept my deposit and I had to cover all move out expenses. Management never once made me feel like more than just a number.

Nexus east is in the perfect location on the east side. The apartments are very cute and up-to-date, Along with a very friendly community.

The managent dragged their feet implementing a new gate system which allowed a homeless man to enter the complex and bang on doors trying to get in. Packages are stolen. There are roaches everywhere. And there is a widespread mold issue. Every unit is humid and there is no hot water.

The complex is well kept, great amenities, provides a few welcoming areas to meet people in the complex. Easy access to gates and doors with the app.

Love it at Nexus East! It's got a great vibe and in a good location!

Nexus is a wonderful community and the staff is always helpful.

Nexus does the absolute bare minimum. Being negligently reactive instead of proactive about problems residents are dealing with. Where is our money going towards??

It’s a lovely complex in a great location. I just wish it was guest-friendly. I work 12-hr days Emergency Management Services and love having friends and family visit for a few days at a time but I’m not available to be with them their whole visit to unlock and lock my unit door and to leave it unlocked like I what was suggested by the leasing agent, doesn’t feel right. I do not want my guests to feel like they are an inconvenience when that shouldn’t even be an issue. Butterfly app is great to gain entry in the property but not my unit. I want my guests to feel welcomed and I know they do not/will not.
