Northwest Austin includes the region north of Tarrytown to just south of Cedar Park, extending from the Mopac Expressway eastward to Lake Travis. Much of the area on the west side is consumed by park space – St. Edward’s Park, Bull Creek District Park, Emma Long Metropolitan Park, and others weave together to form a vast wooded area next to the lake. These parks offer hiking trails to small waterfalls, swimming, and boating opportunities.
Neighborhoods in Northwest Austin include Northwest Hills, McNeill, Jollyville, and Anderson Mill. While the open green space and lakes might be the initial draw, you’ll soon find plenty to do here, from shopping at Lakeline Mall to visiting the Austin Aquarium. The Mopac Expressway provides convenient commutes into nearby Downtown Austin as well as to the University of Texas at Austin.

Property Ratings at NoA on McNeil Townhomes + Flats
Three buildings have been infested with rats (7, 8, and 10) and management had all traps moved from neighboring buildings to those buildings leaving all the other buildings vulnerable. This has been an issue for a couple of months. It's only a matter of time until all buildings are infiltrated with rats since they are running between buildings (see dead rats on roads in between buildings). The worst part is management has not sent a notice to residents about the rat situation so we cannot take appropriate measures to protect our homes as they removed our traps over a month ago and haven't replaced them. Considering these are THE MOST EXPENSIVE apartments in the area they should do better. What will make matters worse is the fact that trees have been cut down since we didn't have power for nearly a week last year and the squirrels will be looking to enter the buildings since the trees have been cut. This place has gone downhill quickly since it became NOA due to lazy, non-communicative management. This is why apartments sit empty for months since everyone seems to be moving out.

I moved out and I got a bill that charged me $235.87 for painting! I lived in the remodeled unit for one year and hung nothing on the walls. I was a non-smoker, no pets, and never used the fireplace. I'm willing to pay the other charges, but the $235.87 is ridiculous. I've never heard of any property charging for wear and tear. Alternatively, I will seek assistance from the BBB.

Hi Galen, We are sorry to hear about the charges, but the condition of the apartment paint you left was very bad, the painter we hired had to paint the entire apartment, typically we will not charge if we can do touch-up in house, but it was more severe in your case, we apologize for the inconvenience.
The Townhomes at Senderal Trails have to be, hands down, the nicest community I have ever lived in. The staff are always cheerful and ready to be helpful, the maintenance staff are the same and all are quick to respond to any issues that may arise. For about the past 20 years, I've lived in apartments and, prior to moving in here, I always longed to live in a house, but not anymore. This is my forever (God wiling) home and I no longer pass by houses and dream of living in one someday. THIS TRULY IS MY HOME! Not a day goes by that I don't thank Heavenly Father for leading me here, when it became impossible for me to stay in my old apartment complex. I'm actually thankful for the vandals who made it necessary for me to look for somewhere better to live. I honestly don't think this community can be topped :)

Great community and staff. Maintenance responds quickly. Clean pool and workout room. Staff and maintenance were very quick and helpful when the pipes burst during the winter storm.

Management couldn't care less about your problems. They will actively contribute to issues, ignore you, lie to you, give you the run-around, manipulate you into resigning the lease. They are actively renting out units to AIRBNB guests who are constantly making noise and will do nothing about it. They've towed our cars for no reason. They've left a rodent problem largely ignored. They've promised all these amenities when you go and tour and then add things like a tiny wooden deck outside their office and call it an "Improvement" while half their gates don't work. They don't require masks in the gym. I could go on.

All of our gates work perfectly but does require access cards. This is the worst experience I have ever had moving into a place. It is approaching 6 months since my initial move-in, and we are still awaiting repairs we requested with our Initial Walk-through Inventory Form. Many outlets did not work when we moved in. Our light switches still do not work. These units were "updated" to look better, but it is very clear every corner that could be cut was. Nothing is installed correctly. When we initially moved in we didn't even have hot water. That took several days to get resolved. The cost to live here is astronomical, which I was fine with, assuming the maintenance would be reasonable, and appearances were to be trusted. Wrong. I had one of the members of the maintenance team actually yell at me for submitting too many tickets after they had closed everything I entered previously because they couldn't fix them yet, and apparently did not wish to be bothered by the open requests. The head of maintenance himself is actually really great, but my overall experience has been that things are incredibly slow and everyone is way too overworked, which is a problem with the property and not the staff. In the months since the move we have had near constant issues with the showers/tubs and the seals cracking. At this point we shouldn't really be using either until they are torn out and leveled correctly and have the rotting wood replaced. This should have been done months ago, but now that we're moving out they're going to wait until we're gone to fix it. I sincerely pity whoever gets this unit once we move because I doubt anything will be getting fixed at all. For the cost of this place, you could easily find a nice house for rent, and there would almost certainly be a faster turn-around time on maintenance requests, which is the only real benefit of choosing an apartment over a house anyway, so I'd say stay clear of this place. There are much better places to spend your money. I would also like to note that leaving this review has resulted in a lease violation, despite documented proof that all of this is true and correct.

My daughter and I have lived here going on 4 years now and love it! We recently moved into our newly renovated townhome and are really enjoying it. Should any maintenance issues arise, they are taken care of quickly. Your four-legged family members will love it too-from the dog park to the new bathing station!

Sender Trails is a charming community. The grounds are immaculate, the staff is pleasant, polite and professional. The units are bright and cheerful and the floor plans are different from the average. The landscaping is well planned and makes for a beautiful walk around the community. Townhomes at Sendera trails is a very nice community; the floor planes are really great as well as the amenities especially for those who have pets. The location is great, HEB is super close and very quiet. The leasing office people is super nice and always available to help you out and solve any problem you may have. Really suggested to move as so far i can just say was they right decision for me

Hi, your wonderful feedback and rating mean a lot to us.
There property itself is beautiful on the surface, however, the cabinets and fixtures are mostly fairly old and not in the greatest condition. They have been given new doors and hardware, but because the fixture itself is old, they fall off at random. There dog park in it's current state is not safe for dogs without heavy supervision. There are gaps in fences and are used only rarely by residents. My move in experience was incredibly negative. It took over a month to get maintenance requests addressed and this only happened after contacting Greystar. Submitting my initial inventory a well as submitting maintenance requests through the portal did not result in any actual repairs. Windows did not even close upon move in and they were left on this state for over a month. Having said all of this, after speaking with the management company directly, things have gotten much better and the service has been courteous. I would not recommend them at this point, but I am hopeful things will remain positive and I will feel responding them in the future.

Its been good so far. Been here a month and a half. Everything we have needed to be fixed has been fixed in a timely manner. The property has remained clean. The electric bills have been the highest I have ever paid in life. I have figured out ways to lower it. Only thing I would say that has prompted me to have a negative comment is the fact I was told I would receive an incentive for looking and leasing within 24hrs. I did as such and never received that incentive. Thats a small issue, but it still didnt sit well with me. Again, its been real pleasant.

Poorly maintained

Apartment community is well maintained and quiet. Office staff is nice but seem to drop the ball alot, manager and assistant managers are awesome though.
The outside of these buildings is gorgeous and historic. The office is the original three story home of this once giant ranch. I loved the tour and the managers are very nice......... BUT SLOWLY you will start to see that the buildings are not well maintained. 1. EXCESSIVE ELECTRIC BILL... My bills are over 500 a month. And yet, the apartment is still hot in the summer and excessively cold in the winter. Yuck! That is because they have never bothered to spray foam into the attic or walls..... This results in a massive heat loss and frozen pipes. 2. RECENT MICE AND ANT INFESTATIONS... Suddenly we are plagued with mice that run in between the walls and into the kitchens of the seven different families that are part of our giant block. The problem is management expects us to trap and dispose of these germ carrying pests. We pay premium rents, yet receive substandard maintenance. In summary, I really like the managers but I don't know how to solve my heat or Vermin problems.
I have been living here for 3 years. I'm mostly satisfied and that's why I am still here. However there are two things I don't like about this apartment. The first thing is the parking, some of the units come with an extra parking spot in front of the garage, but not all. I don't have that. If you only have one vehicle and you can store in the garage, then it is fine, but have stuff in small garage and my car won't fit. There are guest parking, but it appears some tenants have many cars and guest parking are often full. I have to park on the street next to it it is quite a walk with groceries. Some people are parking on the red zone, which is bad in case of fire, or handy cap zone. The apartment doesn't do anything about it. The second problem is the mail room. When a package is delivered, they go straight to the mail room mostly, even if I am at home. Then mail room doesn't tell you they have your stuff. I always have to keep track on what is coming. When I receive something that I didn't order, then I might not realize that I have something in the mail room for a long time. Sometimes USPS leave a note in my mail box, but it is not consistent.
I am highly concerned now. I haven't lived here very long, and already had my vehicle broken into and vandalized. The first couple months I lived here there was very poor safety lighting. Just a couple weeks now since they maintained the security lighting, and now my vehicle gets broken into. There is absolutely no parking.
I lived here for several years and thought the property was a nice place to live.
Lived there for years, and living there was okay, if skimpy on guest parking. After moving out, I was charged for painting the walls and cleaning the carpet. They stated that there was a smoke smell. The priceless part of the whole thing is...I'm a non-smoker and was the only tenant.
