Property Ratings at NOLA
The duration stay while living here was NOT the best. There was a roach problem from the start to finish. People would come and "spray" but it never went away, and mind you I had kept this apartment very clean. From the beginning, the washer and dryer, as well as the dish washer did not work properly. Thankfully, they had fixed the situation shortly after. By time of move out, my roommate and I had throughly cleaned the apartment. Coincidently, we did not receive any of our deposit back, and actually owed some. I now understand how they keep their business running and make their money. The reasons were very unreasonable, with little to no explanation. For example, we had been charged 100$ for the patio having cigarettes on it. My roommate nor I have never smoked in our lives, nor here. They somehow do not realize that each neighbor is approximately 2 feet away and could have done this, or a stranger that somehow gets in the gates which happened very often. They push you VERY hard to renew your lease, and when you don't, they decide to charge you unnecessarily. The reviews I had read prior to moving in make sense now. I hope this helps any future people looking.
These apartments are okay. The neighborhood is quiet and within walking distance of Westport, 39th Street, and the Country Club Plaza. However, given the location, they are over priced for what you get. Online photos show that there is a pool, which there isn't, but they have a community BBQ area with chairs and a table. *You are not allowed to keep your personal grill/belongings in the courtyard area. The washers and dryers in the shared laundry don't work very well so I'd recommend getting an apartment with hookups if possible.
