About Nolte River Place (Affordable Senior Living)
Nolte River Place is opening soon and is now taking applications. Income and age restrictions apply. Nolte River Place Apartments is a new affordable senior housing community, and the third phase of the Homestead at Anoka, a senior care campus developed and operated by Volunteers of America. The affordable senior apartments will feature 80 units, with 40 for residents with income limits set at 50% of the area median income, 32 for residents with a limit of 60% of the area median income, and the remaining eight units will be reserved for homeless senior veterans through the HUD program. The design complements the adjacent Homestead community.

Anoka is a city along the eastern banks of the Mississippi River roughly 30 minutes north of Minneapolis. Anoka is known for all things spooky, as it’s coined the “Halloween Capital of the World.” The city held one the of the first Halloween parades in the country, and it continues to pay homage to the holiday with several parades happening through the month of October. During the other months, Anoka is characterized as a delightful Twin Cities suburb.
A resort-like golf course, tree-lined streets, and an exciting downtown corridor all complement the peaceful residential sections of the city. Head to East Main Street for an array of family-friendly dining and shopping spots. On the edge of downtown, Rum River features parks, trails, and the historic Rum River Dam. Of course, more outdoor recreation lies along the Mississippi River.

Property Ratings at Nolte River Place (Affordable Senior Living)
We and others that are residents within this facility toured and choose our dream apartment. The week before we weee to move in. After we had all of our addresses changed. And called multiple places for utilities and Internet and insurance. Everything. They stated that they rented out the apartment to someone else. So then we had to go back and choose another apartment.
