You would only be punishing yourself if you choose to live here. The management company has an F rating from the Better Business Bureau. Trash is always left all over the place. Neighbors are loud and you'll never get any peace. Mail unit broken into and the office didn't tell us about it. Appliances are always breaking and it takes forever to fix them.
New York big Rats!!! Very Bad Rodent problems. Management disrespectful and don’t care!!! All they do is tell lies.

Only renewed due to buying house. Tired of complaining after finally getting 2 months of some peace. Loud music from neighbors apt, loud music from cars, smell of drugs from neighbors, cars speeding thru community and people coming to community to hang out that don't live here. Witnessed female jump from moving vehicle & attack it with purse & sticks. Just got roaches down, almost gone, after month of treatment (our treatments). Not for people who like safe, quiet peaceful area. Especially if u work from home or work 7 days a week for a month at a time.

This apartment is roach infested, the pest control doesn't show up, moldy, and Maintenance never shows up or makes the issue worst. Do not move here it is disgusting. The price is way to high for these terrible conditions.

Do not move here . There are roaches, and not only does management have no desire to fix this problem — they do not return calls or respond to maintenance requests. I am a current resident , and have lived here since Sept 2017. It wasn’t until shortly after I renewed my lease the summer of 2019, that I began to see roaches in the kitchen . I have requested my apartment be sprayed on multiple occasions . After the first two sprays, it became clear that the issue wasn’t going to go away. The third time I requested to be sprayed , that very same night I saw more roaches than ever: I immediately put in a maintenance request on the online portal for Terminex to come out again ( they only spray on Wednesday’s). The next Monday I called the leasing office to make sure I was on the list (because no information is actually given to confirm you are on the list to be sprayed). Wednesday would be the day before Thanksgiving so I had serious doubts my apartment would be sprayed again. I was guaranteed that I was on the “list” and when I complained about the ineffectiveness of Terminex, I was told they would request a stronger spray be used. Not to my surprise... when I returned home from the holiday — Terminex has not been in my apartment. The next Monday morning , I called the leasing office but was forced to leave a voicemail. This is what usually happens unless you are calling to rent a new apartment. No one returned my call . My original maintenance request was never responded to. I was only able to speak to someone, because I am at home sick and had to physically walk into the leasing office. Im told they are in the process of spraying ALL the buildings in their entirety, but are starting With building 1. Clearly this is what’s needed ... because spraying 1 individual apartment when an entire building has issues, obviously isn’t working . I am currently waiting for Terminex to come , because allegedly I’ve been put on the list again (today is Wednesday). Though I’m not sure they even know what apartment in , because I didn’t see they woman write my apartment number down. My lease is up in June 2020... However is this problem isn’t remedied, I plan to go to court and get an order for them to release me from my lease.
I wasn’t going to post a review; however I seriously had enough. One reason why this review gets 2 reviews is because the maintenance staff are friendly and prompt at fixing issues. The other reason is because ONE of the office staff is very friendly and cares about resident issues. Don’t ever expect to get a notice when they shut off your water. I’ve lived here under a year and they’ve shut off my water 4 times without notice. Just today, they shut off the water—I was cooking! The office staff I spoke to wasn’t friendly regarding this inconvenience. The other tenants here do not respect the property and throw garbage and cleaning chemicals on the grounds. Just this morning I had to stop my dog from eating some lint and other garbage my neighbor threw out on the ground. The other tenants also never pick up their pet poop. This is especially rude considering a lot of the tenants have large animals. It’s sad that I’ve had these issues because I actually like the apartment and the apartment complex location. Due to the issues I continue to struggle with, I certainly will NOT be renewing my lease.
I just moved to Atlanta and I have been living at the Columns a little over 2 months. On move-in day the apartment was not clean. Debris from maintenance repairs and dead bugs were all over the apartment. Windows and window sills were filthy, tub was covered in a dirty film and there was old food all over the kitchen. I then spent the first week contacting the office to have several repairs done to the place, that should have been done prior to move-in. No staff live on property, so it takes forever to have after hours, emergency repairs completed (had a faucet literally running for 3 hours before receiving confirmation that someone was coming to make repairs). The "gym" has 3 pieces of equipment and no air. There's a constant smell in my apartment that I cannot identify. No matter how much I clean or burn candles, it always comes back; leads me to believe there's mold or something in the walls. The worst part is the bugs, predominantly roaches. The complex does offer pest control but it does not help. I've basically been advised this is what I should expect living in an apartment. I don't know what everyone else is used to, but I refuse to live with roaches. I gave them 2 stars because the staff is nice, and they do try, but sometimes trying is not enough. I am counting down the days until my lease is up. I will not be renewing and I will never live in another ECI property.
I've lived here for about a year and a half. The apartments aren't all bad other wise I would not have resigned my lease. The office staff are nice people and the mantaince really works hard. The neighborhood is quiet and safe with the exception of a few car break ins. Roaches and constant leakes are my biggest issue with the apartment! They are ok but I would not recommend them. These apartments are OLD and OVERPRICED!!!
