About Norcross Station Apartments
Built in 1924, the Norcross Transfer & Storage building in downtown Charlottesville has stood as an emblem of functional design for almost 100 years! Now, the landmark building inspires in a whole new way - as a residential space like no other. Norcross Station's detailed renovation has created a mix of 1 & 2 bedroom lofts and flats, ranging from 700-1600 square feet - each with its own distinct character. Above your head, giant timber beams echo the past, while modern architectural elements ensure your ease & comfort in the present. Each flat contains hardwood floors, original steel sash windows and clay tile walls. The sister buildings, Phases II & III, include a mix of 1 & 2 bedroom flats and lofts with hardwood maple floors, airy 9' ceilings with substantial glass windows. Create your space, create your style... just steps away from the historic Downtown Mall!
Norcross Station Apartments is an apartment community located in Charlottesville County and the 22902 ZIP Code. This area is served by the Charlottesville Cty Public Schools attendance zone.

As Charlottesville’s commercial district, Downtown features a wide range of shopping, dining, and entertainment options. Historic Court Square lies in the middle of this downtown district and is the oldest part of the city of Charlottesville with buildings dating back to the 1800s. And in the heart of Downtown, discover the popular Downtown Mall, covering nine blocks on Main Street offering restaurants, boutiques, and theaters. Check out some local favorites like Citizen Burger Bar and South Street Brewery.
Community festivals and concerts are held within this commercial hub at locales like Sprint Pavilion, Jefferson Theater, and Paramount Theater. Though there are urban parks within Downtown, McIntire Park is a sprawling city park located just north of the neighborhood, offering hiking trails and ball fields for Charlottesville High School. Because of Downtown’s proximity to the University of Virginia, there’s a youthful presence in the community, along with a family-friendly vibe.

Property Ratings at Norcross Station Apartments
Norcross is a good and comfortable option in Cville, though it is undoubtedly overpriced for the quality of living it delivers. I outline the goods and the bads below. The good: - The location is very convenient: only 1.5 blocks away from the Downtown Mall, where there’s a decent selection of restaurants, bars, charming little stores, and a CVS. You can hear free concerts held in the Pavilion from your apartment on Friday evenings! - The noise level is not bad unless you live in the oldest warehouse building. - Management is generally responsive, though staff turnover is frequent. Repair regularly changes your smoke alarm battery and air filter and arranges pest control to spray if you need it, which is better practice than most other places I’ve rented. The bad: - This apartment is by no means “luxurious.” The inside feels old, even in the newer buildings. The air vents sometimes deliver smells of the toilet or cooking exhaust. - Not having an elevator in the building can be a bummer when you really need it. - Unless I got consistently unlucky, the dumpster was overflowed almost half of the time I was trying to dispose of trash. Given the amount of rent charged, I thought they could do better in arranging more frequent trash pickup. - The parking space feels unnecessarily narrow when lots of parking spots are vacant.
Property Manager at Norcross Station Apartments, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for taking time to post a review! Being constructed in 2004 and 2009, Norcross Station's finishes are reflective of what was popular then. Thank you for your comments as we look at ways to bring Norcross into 2022! With so many residents moving within the summer months, we experienced an excessive amount of trash. Having to work with our trash vendor's schedule for additional service beyond our 4 days per week schedule was challenging at times! We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience! Please let us know if you experience any issue so we can respond as soon as possible! Again thank you so much for your comments!
