Property Ratings at Norstar Apartments
If you love… the overwhelming smell of marijuana, kids screaming, parents screaming, dirty washers and dryers, unfriendly staff that don’t do their job, not being able to relax in your own home due to screaming unsupervised children in the lobby areas and down all the hallways, then this place is for you! OH, also not being able to have any package deliveries shipped to your “home” because everything gets stolen basically as soon as it’s sat down. When you call the office to make a complaint, or ask for help… you get the veryyyyy rehearsed “the cameras don’t work and there’s nothing we can do… make a police report”. So accommodating to their tenants!!!! That is just a brief summary of my stay at Norstar apartments. Never again would I subject myself to such a place, and you shouldn’t either.
I almost didn't rent here because of the bad reviews, but I have known people that lived here. It is a nice neighborhood I have had no problems.
Management confrontational in every respect. I have been living in apartments for the greater part of my life and until now have never felt strongly enough about one to do a review. The place is terrible in almost every regard. Avoid like the plague.
I’ve lived at Norstar for 10 years now. I use to love living here. Now it’s a different story. The upkeep of Norstar now is horrible. No one seems to care and it shows. They care more about the landscaping then they do hallways, common areas and laundry room. This place has gone from immaculate to dive. The hallways are horrible, dirty and stinky. The smells range from skunky pot to strong cooking smells. The laundry rooms are filthy!! I’ve actually cleaned it myself a few times because I refuse to do my laundry in filth. I very rarely see anyone clean anything here and if they do it’s done quickly without care. There are no windows in the hallways so every lingers and then you start to smell it in your apartment. An air purifier or air fresheners in the hallways might help a bit. The elevator is a joke, it’s always not working properly and we have literally been stuck in it a few times and had to call for help. I don’t except this place to be perfect but the amount of money I pay to live here I except it to be kept better than it has. It’s really embarrassing how horrible this place is now. Contemplating moving when my lease is up and they will lose an excellent tenant with over 10 years here.

Good Morning: Thank you for posting a review of Norstar Apartments. This used to be a nice little apartment complex...no longer. The management team is awful. They lie right to your face. They are deceitful also. You can not speak to them about anything because they are incapable of having a mature adult conversation. If you tell them something they don’t like they lie to you then accuse you of arguing with them. I have never seen anything so unprofessional in my life. They do not care about their tenants ... only what they can soak out of them. It is disgraceful what I have seen gone on there in these past couple of years. It is not clean. It takes an act of god to get something replaced. It really is disgraceful. Stay away!

Avoid at all costs, staffing is terrible and makes this place a living hell. Oh and the pool is a lie since it’s never open.

I had a problem so kind of sound in the apartment will not let people sleep there . I ask them to fix d starting winter & they didn’t fixed it & I asked them to paint our wall almost 9 month they didn’t pant it too. I ask them to break my lease they told I have to pay for hole year money.
Norstar Apts are a joke. The property manager sucks!! I won’t be renewing my lease and I recommend everyone to stay clear of trying to rent here. It’s full of bugs? The buildings are never kept clean. The office staff are all rude. Maintenance staff never has supplies or proper equipment to fix stuff properly and timely. One maintenance person is constantly seen hanging out in building 5 with residents. Custodians are always sitting around. Corporate doesn’t seem to care what goes on here anymore. They let the property manager run the show and he is a joke with what seems to me no management skills.
This is the perfect building for me and my son , who suffers a closed head injury . It is very convenient for transportation , stores , close to the lake and have outdoor and indoor activities to keep him occupied . The building is well maintained both inside and out. Every season fresh flowers are planted that makes it look so beautiful . It is very quiet and peaceful .A perfect place to sit outside and relax while enjoying the outdoor . I work in the health field and get out the wee morning hours sometimes .It is brightly lit and I feel very safe coming in even in those hours. Sure is just the right apartment for me.
