Situated in western New York on the cusp of Lake Ontario, Rochester holds the title of the state’s third most populous city. Touting a distinct blend of history and innovation, Rochester is filled with historic buildings turned modern lofts and apartments. The University of Rochester as well as Rochester Institute of Technology both contain leading research programs, lending to the city’s educated workforce and prospering future. Prominent figures like Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass once called Rochester home.
Even though it’s a fairly large city, Rochester still holds a small-town vibe. Rochester offers several community events that are widely attended, including the Lilac Festival and the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
The Strong Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, and the George Eastman Museum all feature special exhibits that inspire curiosity. Scenic views await at Highland Park, and residents adore their day trips to the Seneca Park Zoo and Seabreeze Amusement Park.

Property Ratings at North Glen Apartments
I honestly think anyone with a bad review probably was not the best renter. I just renewed my lease for the first time and I absolutely love my apartment. Maintenance is very nice and efficient. I used to live somewhere that I was AFRAID to call maintenance because the guys were so miserable they were complete jerks to tenants. The first time I called at North Glen I was nervous but they eased all my anxiety! Very nice and professional guys who assured me I didn't need to apologize for calling. I was excited to renew my lease and look forward to another good year! Jane has been a wonderful community manager, is quick to respond anytime you have a question and genuinely cares that you have a good experience with DBI! It's a refreshing outlook compared to past apartments. I do hate the location of having to do a u-turn every time I come/go (obviously not their fault so I kept it at 5 STARS!).
I've been here for going on 5 years and I have absolutely nothing bad to say. DBI is a great company. Maintenance is always on top of things and taken care of in a timely manner. The prices and location are great, right in the middle of everything you need. They always make sure the property is well maintained. I just wish my kitchen appliances were a tad better.
I absolutely love it here - I’ve been here for about 3 years & I must say it was the best decision I’ve made. I’ve had not one single issue since I’ve been here. Neighbors are quiet, the upkeep of the complex is amazing.. Jane, the office manager is simply just the best! Definitely recommended, would give it 10 stars if I could
North Glen apartments was my first apartment! I have been there going on 2years and I absolutely love it ! Affordable prices, close to many stores, quite area & the apartments are very spacious ! Highly recommended! The only downside for me is they do not accept dogs otherwise it is a great complex
The kitchen IS NOT WHAT IS BEING SHOWN IN THE PICTURE!! Old appliances parts of the fridge has been glued together. the eyes on the stove are not sturdy. The oven has so much grease and burnt food on the racks. I have asked multiple times for the refrigerator and stove to be replace with what is being shown. They told me they will not change it unless it is broken. No storage inside the apartment.
My family and I have been living here for 15+ years. Jane is an extremely efficient office manager. The maintenance staff is top notch. My family and I thank the entire North Glen/Dbi Properties Team for all that they do. Very convenient location to the Mall, grocery store, shops, entertainment, parks...etc. My family and I are incredibly grateful to live here.
Amazing place to start for your first apartment! I moved in summer 2021 and this is my first apartment and Jane has given me a wonderful experience! Maintenance handles everything very quickly whenever something is not how it should be ! Also every time we had a winter storm we did not have to stress shoveling our cars out because they had people plowing early early in the morning . It’s a quite apartment nothing rarely happens and it’s actually quite peaceful and I’m glad I sticked with this apartment! Very affordable also !!
I have lived here for going on 16 years. The office manager is fair and responsive to maintenance requests. I've never had a problem with any break ins, car or apartment despite the other review. It's a surprisingly quiet and peaceful community considering how close it is to Ridge Rd. Rent is relatively cheaper than most places and it does go up yearly by small amounts but you will find that anywhere. I really like that it's very close to everything, I can be in Henrietta in under 20 minutes (non rush hour) and to Wegmans/Ridgemont Plaza in under 5. They do a good job of keeping up the property here but there's not a lot of space for kids to play. Overall, I can say that North Glen Apartments has served me very well over the last several years.
Apartments and grounds are well maintained. The office manager Jane is such a sweetheart and always willing to assist if any problems arise, which very few do. I'm a senior and our last big snowfall my car needed shoveling out. Jane shoveled my car our for me. I have no plans on moving from here.
Everyone and everything from Jane at the rental office to all the maintenance folks…excellent!! The property is very well maintained, especially during snowfall. I rarely have to call maintenance but they respond very quickly. Been here for years and don’t plan on leaving. Walking distance to many stores which is great in warmer weather too. Kids playing outside are respectful and don’t play in the roadway (everyone has experienced kids who don’t pay attention to traffic). Highly recommended
We have lived here at North Glen for 2 years and it has been nothing but amazing!! The office staff and maintenance staff are always prompt and helpful. We would highly recommend living here.
Fair, helpful, quick with responses, and willing to help with any issues
We have lived here for 3 years and this was our start up apartment before moving out of state. We loved it here very quiet, well kept, spacious,in house laundry which is a plus. The building manager Jane has been wonderful to us over the past few years. If you think about down sizing or looking for a start up apartment this is perfect for you.
I am in the process of renting a apartment, I have been to the office a few times, Jane the office manager has been very helpful, I am looking forward to living here
I have lived here for several years, at first it was fine. But within the past few years it has completely gone downhill. There have been several break ins, both in apartments and cars. People don't watch their kids so they run around terrorising the neighborhood, purposely setting off car alarms, destroying property ect. They raise the rent significantly every year but don't do anything to update anything. Everything in here is from the 60s-80s. The paint is so cheap it falls off the wall if you try to wipe it with a sponge and water. The rugs are so cheap they are falling apart. The windows have mold, Jane says I must not be washing them, but that's not the case. They are cheap, drafty, and moisture gets in. Jane (office manager) is the most rude and condescending person I have ever met. I have left things broken for longer than I should have just so I didn't have to call her, not that maintenance would adequately fix it anyway. When I was in the hospital giving birth my kitchen flooded and they used my good towels to.cleqn it, then just left the sopping wet towels on my kitchen counter. The hallways are always dirty, the paint is chipping, the front steps to my building were crumbling apart for years, they finally just got fixed. The only reason I still live here is bc Jane said I would not need a co-signer when I signed my new lease but thqt was false. I did need one anyway, and it was too late to find someplace else, I was about to give birth. Bottom line, do not rent here. There are many other places in the same price range and area that are so much nicer. Especially if you have kids, there is nowhere for them to play, and you are not allowed to have any outdoor toys, furniture, or pools. The only positive is Wegmans being across the street
I like 4 units per building. Closer to stores, malls. Nice senior discounts, free water and heat, BUT, old appliances, no energy-efficiency. Weak floor, no sound proof, old carpets. I am ready to move out when I am ready.
The apartment is near a great grocery store named Wegmans. 18 Minutes by car away from my school Onondaga school of Therapeutic Massage. 18 minutes away from Monroe Community College. Greece Ridge Mall about 2 blocks away and the lake not to far. Also have a nice view of a tree line giving that secluded feel while still remaining close to everyday needs.
PROS location great; nice scenery; overall size is decent ;office staff friendly; Hallways and laundry room are kept clean; maintenance responds quick when needed CONS washer/dryers need to be updated; Walls are paper thin, I can hear everything neighbors above me are doing; Floors are very creaky; Being an insomniac and living here has made my life a nightmare; creaky floors and thin walls; I'm very disappointed. I was excited about moving here. Now i am counting down the days my lease is up.
Nice space, Good location, closer to shopping. but old appliances, no energy-efficiency.
