Property Ratings at North Hollow
The building itself is fine, but there's been a significant decline in quality of life recently, with what is effectively an open air drug market running every evening in the parking lot of the fertility clinic across the street. There was a news article recently that noted "The intersection of Southwest 15th Avenue and Taylor Street, less than two blocks from Lincoln High School, is now a known 'high drug trafficking area,' according to an affidavit filed in U.S. District Court." I moved here because I wanted to live in a walkable neighborhood, but it doesn't feel safe to be out after 8pm. You'll be walking through slumped bodies and dodging drug dealers on bikes with their unleashed pit bulls trotted along behind. Even during the day it's starting to feel unsafe--there were people doing drugs right in front of the building entrance on Sunday morning. The key fob reader has been broken for more than a month now, with residents all having to use a shared access code. I don't have confidence that the "no trespassing" sticker management put up on the front door recently will do much to deter break-ins.

My experience here was mixed. The apartment qualities and location was fairly nice. I enjoyed living in the area and having decent neighbors. However, the second year living here my AC leaked to the floor below me and caused the floor below it to start wearing away. This caused me to lose access to half of my apartment for about a month. My compensation for losing half of my apartment was a small fraction of what I paid. Aside from the apartments being a bit overpriced, in my opinion. I have had several packages stolen and in my last month of living there my bike was stolen out of the bike storage room. After telling the office staff I was met with a bit of indifference. As there was an assumption my insurance would cover the theft which isn't really known. You know what I got back for my bike? 1/5th of it's actual value... After the deductibles... I honestly can't recommend living here. For about one year my time was all right but after that it all went downhill pretty fast. One true positive in my opinion is the maintenance staff. They were always cool and nice and seemed to care about their job and work.

I lived here for almost 2 years and had nothing but problems. They’ve gone through management like 3 or 4 times, which is very telling for a business. The staff in general is nice, and the apartment is nice, but the issues I dealt with were not worth it.

The apartment is bright, comfortable and convenient with modern appliances and lots of kitchen storage. The common areas in the building are lovely. North Hollow’s location is a short walk to light rail stations, grocery stores and both downtown and the Northwest district. Management staff are helpful and friendly.

I’ve been living in North Hollow for less than one month but am still in love with my apartment and amenities in the building. I moved from an old (1925) bungalow with few updates, no dishwasher, laundry in basement and now feel spoiled!

North Hollow Apartments are greatly located and maintained, especially with the growing illegal activity within the city. I feel pretty safe with all things considered and have recommended the complex a few times to friends already. The amenities are amazing as well and the layout is beautifully modern.
