North Lakes Apartments

I just renewed my lease for the 3rd time. A lot of the review I see are misleading. Office staff can not complete a work request it has taken 1-2 days for a fix that I wouldn’t consider an emergency and no more than 24 hours for an emergency. Great job North Lakes

This was the worst apartment decision of my life. I have had SO many maintenance issues and it takes 1 month or more for anything to get fixed. We also have roaches. You cannot get any help from the office. They hardly ever answer their phones and have changed their email address multiple times! Poor management and not nearly enough maintenance for a place that is falling apart.

Believe the comments they are ALL TRUE! Run far away! This place is HORRIBLE! Maintenance and office staff are rude and childish.

I wish I took heed to the negative reviews, they are all 100% accurate. Management is a hot mess, they are rude and incompetent, maintenance takes forever to fix anything, there’s not enough parking after 8 o clock and they will have your car towed away for a number of reasons, to a janky towing company that doesn’t even have an office. Don’t let the free first month rent fool you, it’s a ploy for new residents because all of the old ones are leaving! Don’t do it, they do not care about their residents and the management office is always rude literally like school girls.

Awful management who doesn’t care about their residents. Takes forever to get anything fixed. No emergency maintenance. My downstairs neighbors apartment flooded and she had to wait 3 days for anyone to even come out. Bug problems. Mold growing all over. Avoid at all costs. It is NOT worth the price they charge. Even the “updated” units are not really updated except for some wallpaper and a sink. Horrible horrible units and management. I can’t wait to get out. Most awful renting experience I’ve ever had.

My lease is up Oct 31, 2022 and I can not wait to leave this place. I been living in North Lakes Apartments for 4 years. The management company that was original here has since left. The new management company that has taken over since has gone downhill. All you got to do is try and call the office and NOBODY will pick up the phone. However there is 5 people in the office sitting around chatting and laughing. I had came to the office recently to ask if they can fix a issue, I was met with rudeness and then they have the nerve to get mad when you match their same energy. If you are okay with overprice apartments that are old and things consistently breaking down with no one to fix it, this is the prefect spot.

1). Nothing ever get fixed. 2). (manager) she is horrible. My son door came off and hit him in the head. Remind you I asked them to fix that door when I moved in. When I told her, she said that's not a priority at this time. 3). My rent is a different price ever month. 4). They never know anything. 5). My sink, toilet, and dishwasher ( backed up with sewer water so funky)I have to put bleach in the dishwasher and run it every other day.been broke since I moved in. Only 2 burns on my stove works. 6)the area is nice but the apartment is -5. 7). When my refrigerator went out, I had to wait almost a month for a new one. I only got it because I refused to pay rent. I sent her a picture of money order advise when I get my refrigerator you can get this. Until then goodbye. 8). Don't move here

it's been issues since day one - management always giving the run around. nothing gets done unless you complain to the head manager and even still, not everything gets resolved. paying almost $900 a month just for a mediocre apartment with bugs that i have been complained about. been told numerous times i was put on a list, yet still living with roaches. not worth it. not my ideal first one-bedroom apartment experience.

I’ve lived here for 5 months and they haven’t fixed anything in my apartment. There is mold growing on our floors that has made me ill, our fridge doesn’t work, our sink doesn’t work, our door is broken. This and more has been going on for months, despite submitting service requests online and over the phone months ago. Do not live here.

Management hosted a community pool party last week and it was AMAZING! Great staff myself and my family had a great time.

If you are looking for a great apartment look no further. With any apartment complex you will have maintenance problems and miscommunication with staff. I have been a resident for 3 years and I will be downgrading to a 1 bedroom and stay as a resident. I love the changes and management.

I moved in several weeks ago and the entire process was great. The office staff was very responsive with all of the questions I had prior to moving.

If you want to spend half of your life time calling the maintenance to come over and fix something live here! There is no emergency maintenance. Nobody will show up if your AC does not work a weekend. Be ready because you will have AC issues every month.

This neighborhood appears to be nice and it is for the most part but these apartments are in need of a MAJOR overhaul and I’m not talking about staff. Huge bugs, Dirt/Dust filled vents... the day I move I will be breaking dancing from excitement outside the leasing office

I have lived here since June 2020. When I moved in everything was great then they switched management and everything went down hill. Maintenance requests barely get done and you have to keep putting in the same request until they eventually get to you. It is hard to get a hold of anyone in the office literally yesterday I called the office 4 times and left a message and no response. I have been having an issue with bugs for months and it has not been resolved. Communication is just terrible. I would not suggest this place to a friend. The apartment itself isn’t terrible but between the bugs, maintenance and management it’s not worth it anymore.

Do you like stepping in dog poop everywhere you turn? Do you like unorganized, incompetent, unprofessional management? insufficient maintenance? Poor air quality? Mold and mildew? If you answered, “yes”, then this is the apartment complex for you! Don’t let their pictures fool you..everything is held together with glue. I just had my dishwasher fall out of the wall and if they allowed picture attachments on this site, I’d show my HVAC closet and the painted over dust and mold (that management would not address until I threatened legal action). The intake vent looks like it hasn’t been cleaned or replaced since the apartments were originally built. Oh and they don’t respond to emergency maintenance calls so if something goes wrong like your ceiling falling in (this happened to my neighbors) they’ll get to it when they feel like it. Also the rent estimates may start out as listed here but they hike it up at least $100 every lease renewal. Oh and they have no way of stopping people from surrounding apartments from getting in the pool because they’re too cheap to install a key entry on the gate so they just close the pool entirely so residents can’t access things they pay for. :)

The new management company is trash. They are really unprofessional and unorganized. I wasn't receiving a water bill for months after they took over and they had no idea now I'm receiving several bills all at once for the time that they had not contracted with the water company. They lost my rent and never called me to tell me that did. I wasn't informed that my rent was missing until I called them to have them come fix the many part of my apartment that are falling apart. They just are subpar. I will never live anywhere that is managed by this organization again. Not to mention the apartment units have been glued, taped. and folded back together and are being cover by some cheap wall paper and paint. Do not let the modern finishes fool the community is old and they haven't done any real structural work to fi the real issues underneath.

Management is incompetent. Maintenace is underqualified . If you like critters, silverfish & Spiders this is the place for you !

The management is awful, not helpful at all! The maintenance takes forever to come Out and fix anything. The prices went up way to high , they try and charge a arm and a leg. No where to park when you get home. Did i mention the management sucks! But anyways I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place as your place to move to.

I moved in July. There have been some plumbing issues with my building at not fault of the current management. They are working hard with the city to correct all the problems. They have been awesome at keeping me informed when I ask. They have been polite and very open about the issue. They inherited a mess taking over this property but are taking care of things and renovating as fast as they can!! I love my apartment.

No amount of paint or patching up the exterior can change the facts. These apartments sucks and new management are just as rude and condescending as the last management. Don’t be fooled. Everything seems good at first until they got you, locked into a lease and then they will brush your concerns off. God forbid you have a real emergency, don’t call or leave any message because they will get really nasty with you.

JUST RECENTLY SIGNED A LEASE WITH NORTH LAKES MOVE IN IN A FEW DAYS. THIS IS MY FIRST APARTMENT AND I MUST SAY THEY HAVE MADE THE PROCESS PRETTY EASY. EVERYBODY IS SO SWEET AND WELCOMING! IT'S IN A GOOD AREA, FOOD LION DOWN THE STREET AS WELL AS COUNTRY PARK, A FEW GAS STATIONS, TARGET IS A FEW MILES AWAY. I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE ACTUALLY APARTMENT IT SELF. THEY HAVE EVERYTHING I WANTED AND NEWLY RENOVATED. I GOT A ONE BEDROOM AND THE SPACE IS PERFECTED. I LOVE THE PATIO IT HAS GREAT SPACE. CAN'T WAIT TO MOVE IN ! :)

We have been here in complex since 2011 and I must say the NEW Management is doing an awesome job..already repairs being done..POT HOLES being fixed,Roofs being repaired.The Office Personal are fantastic,Polite and Very helpfull.Such a breath of fresh air to not have to be worries about going into office to sort an issue they speak to you like your important not just a person paying rent

Been a tenenat here at North Lake Apt. formerly Mallard Lake. Downsized from a 3 to a 2 bedroom. Best move that I’ve made. I love the 2 bedroom upgraded apt. Finally feels like home. Office staff have gotten everything done, and payed attention to concerns. All concerns have been addressed immediately. Loving the new place. Thank you North Lakes and shout out to the staff and maintenance.
