Property Ratings at North Oak Crossing Apartments
The move in was great manager was SOOO helpful. (Jenna)I will be recommend ending. This place to my friends, thank you for all your help.
Lots of loud people have moved in, it used to be really peaceful. They do absolutely nothing about noise complaints. Kids are out of control, no supervision. Doesnt feel safe, I smell weed constantly. Loud music, loud ppl. Its dirty, the stairs are rusted and falling apart. New management is a joke, they dont care. They say call the police. Police take over an hour to get here, DO YOUR JOB.
I do not recommend these apartments! When we did our walk through we seen dead roaches everywhere, 6 months later we still have roach and ant problems even after contacting the office. We also looked in the dishwasher and it was broke, had a piece just lying in the rack and the lady just picked it up and put it back where it belonged, didnt even write it down so we had to request maintenance which took over a week. It wouldnt have been an issue if i could do my dishes in the sink but I can't bc the plugs they provided do not work so the water leaks out. The garbage disposal is old so you have to replace the rubber piece in the sink depending on of you need to use the disposal or try to plug it. It is in the lease but we have lives, jobs, 3 kids so wiping down our window seals was not on our list of things to do, nor did we remember so now we have mold surrounding all of our windows and slidding doors which the office is aware about and has not done anything. Maintenance told me it was bc of the medal seals and has told them himself they need to switch to vinyl to prevent mold. They placed us underneath very loud rude Neighbors (doesnt help one tenant is literally 500lbs) the floors sound old and worn so when anyone walks they creek so loud I am woken through the night. They allow their kids to run back and forth causing our ceiling fan to shake and we have told the office we're afraid it will fall. The kids are up in the middle of the night running, banging and bouncing balls. We have contacted the office many times but they just say it's " normal connected housing ", so if its 3a.m. and i get woken up its normal. We told them about the "brand new carpet" coming up and no one has ever came to fix it. We are on our 3rd fridge now bc ours would not stay cold so our food went bad quickly then they sent a fridge for a single person, i am 5'2 and i was taller than it so they had to order another one. The cabinets are old and chipped, the granite counters are old, chipped, and worn, our outlets and blinds were colored on by old tenants. It is also in a bad area, there's always noise around the apartments such as diesel trucks, and garbage trucks that come get trash from the surrounding restaurants around 5-6 a.m. They do not care about their tenants at all. We have met other tenants that get no sleep bc of their upstairs neighbors so clearly management does nothing to prevent noise at night.

Units look nice but they have an income restrictions: 2 people in unit, you can't make over $35,000
I have never in my life been so I'm happy to come home until I moved to North Oak Crossing. I feel my privacy has been violated my apartment complex performs inspections about every 3 months I think that's a little excessive. During one of the inspections the leasing agent put a dirty air conditioning filter on my floor instead of simply asking me to change it out. They had my sons FRIENDS vehicle towed because the friend did not have the proper tags We have no control over what other people do with their vehicles. Children play kickball in the parking lot, hitting multiple cars with their balls , they skateboard in the parking lot. Children run up and down the corridors yelling.
Clean quiet community. They exterminate regularly. NO bugs. Maintenance team is prompt. Washer/Dryer hookups.
