Hoover is a neighborhood in North Fresno, far enough from the city center for residents to enjoy a quieter and more suburban lifestyle while still being only 15 minutes away from the excitement of downtown. Fresno, California’s largest inland city, sits about 150 miles east of the Pacific coast and about 40 miles west of the majestic Sierra Nevada mountain range.
The ethnic diversity of Fresno gives it a depth of heritage and makes it a hub of culture and commerce. Fresno County holds a place as the nation’s agricultural capital, with billions of dollars in annual produce sales from crops such as almonds, grapes, cotton, nectarines and peaches. People continue to seek out Fresno neighborhoods such as Hoover for their blend of character, affordability and family friendliness.

Property Ratings at North Park Apartments
This apartment complex is overall very nice, very pleasant office staff who are greasy with accommodating. The parking and laundry, along with the facilities such as the pool, and dog park and all are well kept. Also the pricing is really good for the quality of the apartment. <3
I tried to ask them about the roads infestation that I saw in the comments were first moving in. They said that the unit I'm leaving in does not have such things. Have her moving in, there was a roach infestation. All they offer is spraying. But you can obviously tell that the whole building needs to be fumigated. We also had some strange dark colored mold growing near our windows. This was due to them sweating. The office said that they could not do anything due to the fact of the window facing the sun. They said the sun is making it sweat and causing this. I had some breathing issues and was bleeding through my nose. It stopped as soon as I got bleach and thoroughly cleaned the window. Also, they raised the rent every year. Which makes no sense for how crappy these apartments are. If you're just looking for a place to stay. It's okay. But if you have a big issue with roaches and cleanliness and your health, I suggest looking elsewhere. No point of giving your money to each people
We have 4 families living in these apartments. All of us faced same issue. The packages gets stolen within 10 minutes of delivery. They have zero to none camera security on site. Not gated community. Lots of homeless people hover around. Non cooperative and arrogant management staff.
if i can, i’d definitely rate this ghetto place a ZERO. save your cash and coins and go find a better place to rent at. no security, no camera surveillance, and janitors (maintenance people) are pretty useless and blind onto what’s going on! the office staffs are also RUDE AS HECK! no respect, they will confront and argue with you regardless what your situation is. what a good service they provide right? ALSO, cars in this area are getting vandalized DAY AND NIGHT. so save your money, and get a place that is worth living in. nobody should fear getting their properties stolen, and vandalized.
Very happy with these apartments we are new to area and decided to go with North Park because no lease just month to month until we figured out the area and other options - we are not even looking for another place we are so happy with location and Nancy in the office was such a pleasure to deal with I have recommended these apartments to my niece hoping she will move here too
Okay to shorten things because my last review got deleted. -sketchy people always lurking -police chases (this is an important one but I can't say more about it) -broken into apartment (mine, the first week I lived there) -incredibly THIN walls, believe me they're so thin. -airport (relates to the thin walls, apartments shake and it's so loud) -rude staff (if you're easily offended, not the place for you) -dream on if you think you're getting your deposit back -someone stole my heels right out of my car lol like?? Come on
I first picked out this place as my first apartment i didnt know how everything was until i moved in. My ac was broken for months they didnt come fix it till i had went in the office. Its not the maintaince fault its the office they take forever just to give the maintainace the work order forms the office ladies are so rude . also the carpets are ugly its not worth the money with this aparment just warning you . also they have cockaroaches here my neighbor gave them to me . so happy im moving out of here .
North park apartments are a nice location. very convenient to fresno state college. These apartments are a good place to live as a starter place. A cozy size with a nice price.
The application process is simple and fast. We received a free application coupon upon our first visit when we told them we needed a place to move into quickly. We were offered the option to pay two times the normal deposit if our monthly income didn't quite reach the "three times rent" amount. At that point it almost became a "no questions asked" scenario and we were in. We were shown the apartment and informed the carpet has been cleaned but not replaced and that took off a small chunk from our monthly rent! My model and others I've seen are roomy. Cabinetry and kitchen area aren't that great. Nothing very modern aside from the fridge. Paint is kind of sloppy. Bring lamps! Only built-in lights are in the bathroom, kitchen, and one ceiling fan over the dining corner. Amount of wall outlets is okay but some of them are pretty loose. They are not the prettiest models but they are easy to make homey! Getting AT&T internet installed was a nightmare. They had to come out and adjust the cabling several times until someone realized it was the building's fault and fixed something on the outside of the apartment. I don't think the complex has been kept up to date with modern wiring. Make sure your service works well before signing any internet contracts. Laundry rooms are okay. Sometimes the machines steal quarters when they are full. Pools are nice, there are several around. Air conditioning in the units work well. You have to open your own mailbox through the post office and pay a fee for the key if you want your mail delivered there. Parking is fine. The complex is gated though I don't see the point because there are openings in all the parking lot driveways. I like the staff and have no complaints with them. The scenery isn't much but we are in a drought right now so what do you expect? Roaches are a problem but they offer weekly pest control. I have never gotten the pest control but just keep my place clean and spray 'catnip-tea' around the entrances which is a natural roach repellant. I haven't seen many since doing that. They offer $100 off a month of rent if you refer a friend to move in. Noise is low except for squeaky ceilings from upstairs neighbors. Close to food and shopping and freeway 168. I've heard about crimes in the area but have experienced nothing like that and feel safe here. I've recommended it to 4 friends so far and still will!
Great location, right across from Fresno State. Many restaurants close by and also near a movie theatre. Staff's friendly and very helpful when maintenance is needed. Many pools around the complex. Lots of parking space. Neighbors keep to themselves. Nice and quiet. This apartment complex is great for college students.
