Property Ratings at North Pointe Apartments
if you absolutely have to live here, this is an ok apartment complex. here are some things I noticed after living here for two years. Pros Right away you will notice this apartment complex has a terrific playground, a well maintained lawn for every apartment, and if you have dogs it has its own Puppy Park with a decent size fenced facility. On a daily basis you see kids playing in the yard, family picnics and barbeques, so the environment is a very positive place to be. If you’re lucky, you will have an unassigned parking spot you share between two buildings. For an additional $40.00 on rent you can have an assigned manual parking garage, which in winter is a real time saver. Cons Let me start with its hours of operations for the main office, their hours of operations are 930-6 Monday through Friday. This collided with my work hours as I go to work from 9-6 Monday through Friday as well. In addition to their limited hours of operation, their main office is also the only place where you can purchase special tokens if you wanted to do laundry onsite. This forced me to run my laundry to a Laundromat which is indeed a hassle to lug all your laundry to another site. Their heating system is also outdated! Where most apartments have a thermostat to control the heat for the unit, you have individual heating systems for each room. You have to turn a knob at the base of the device to a certain degree which is just a shot in the dark if you want heat in your room. On that note, they always generate heat regardless of its “power off” position. During the summer, you are forced to leave your windows open which has little effect on relieving you from possibly dying from a heat stroke. You can use fans, which has little to no effect when you want to cool off quickly. Their parking situation isn’t as bad, however you will see a lot of cars that are NOT in use and will sit there for months at a time. Upon receiving your permit for parking, it states that your car must be drivable and used. So there are a lot of wasted spaces on vehicles that aren’t being used. When winter hits, their snow maintenance is minimal. The main parking lot isn’t as bad, but their street parking never got maintained for weeks at a time, causing little snow hills where your car can have some issues trying to park. They do maintain the sidewalks, but when you are parked on the street winter time you have to climb over a little hill to get to the side walk.
they have no idea how to manage correctly, they overcharge. and they will screw you with their lease, read CAREFULLY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Live lived here for the past two years, the landlord and staff in the office are nice and respectful. The yards are huge, great for if you have children or dogs. Rent is resnable, would be nice if the buildings were up to date and had a new coat of paint. The apartments are small, perfect for couples or who live on their own.
My studio is not updated but it is just fine! Everything works and there is lots of space. 3 closets in a studio is an awesome bonus! Kitchen is small but has lota of cabinet space. Perfect for a si gle resident or 2 could stay comfortably.
not too cheap, not too expensive, especially living in Anchorage where the average cost for a 1 bed room is about 900-1200$ a month. Rent prices are more expensive in Anchorage, Alaska compared to ther lower 48 states.
The best thing about these apartments is the huge yards that surround the buildings, especially if you have pets or children. But these apartments tend to get over heated in the summer. Rent is the cheapest you can find in town, but the buildings don't represent the price of rent.
