Property Ratings at North Ridge
I am absolutely thrilled with my experience at Northridge, and a big part of that is thanks to the amazing property manager, Terry. Terry is truly exceptional, and her level of dedication and helpfulness is rare to come by. I appreciate how she manages and helps me out so often, and the maintenance team is always quick to respond and fix any issues that arise. Overall, I highly recommend this place. Terry's hard work and wonderful hospitality is what makes here such a special place to live.
Property Manager at North Ridge, Responded To This Review
Thank you so much for your your kind words. We are so happy to have you here. We hope you continue to enjoy your home here at North Ridge.
I recently moved in to Northridge and the staff was so helpful! I moved here from out of state and they made the process so easy. When I arrived they showed me the apartment for the 1st time and it was just as advertised. The apartments are nice, spacious with a decent amount of storage, close to my work and shopping. I’m happy with my choice.
I signed a two year agreement, and when I was signing, they added an addendum for more money, so I was cornered into paying utilities. The broke their 2 year contract with me when I only have 9 months left here to do, and was forced to sign up for new terms under threats of lawsuit for non-complicance. I didn't have the money to take them to court, so now I have NEW TERMS, which is unlawful. Unbelievable how crooked they are. Managers don't last more than a year, and our new one is a little 'nuts'. Residents pay the owner's utility bill for the complex, and split it up by a 'formula'. It is about $100 more a month, but when you sign the surprise addendum, they will say it's $35-ish to get you to sign, and be super nice to you when you move in. This extra bill is variable, and whatever they say it is...and it's high. If you leave for more than 7 days, you have to report to the Manager, which is rude to require. You must report all friends with pets, and if they visit you, must stop by the office to inform the office that your friend is over. It is loud; a major highway out front that is jammed daily, machinery at midnight, scavenger trucks troll the trashcans at night, night going over the speed bumps with a 'crash'. This has been the worst place I have ever lived, and I have never met an honestly happy neighbor. No one in my building has stayed more than a year, and rent increases are a problem. They don't tell the truth, treat you well until you are locked in, and illegal evictions are common. I created this account just to warn families and young people, as well as people in transition (like me) who are waiting to buy a home and need a place to get grounded. It's a problem here.
I've lived in a 2 bedroom / 2 bath apartment here for nearly 4 years. With nearly 1000 sq. ft. and lots of windows and light (including a window in the kitchen!), I'm happy with what I get for what I pay, especially compared to other nearby apartments in Bethany Village. There are no onsite amenities but that's okay for me because I'd rather pay less rent than pay more for amenities I probably won't use. Pros - the office staff, especially the leasing manager is courteous and professional. I always appreciate the extra care he gives the residents. The maintenance staff are very competent and friendly! The complex is generally quiet and the grounds are kept up. The floor plans are spacious and while I don't live in one, most of the apartments that are being vacated are being upgraded with stainless steel appliances and distressed vinyl flooring. Also, this complex is very pet-friendly and since I have two cats, I am very happy that pets are appreciated. Cons - the owner has become increasingly strict about things that end up making the complex look sterile and plain. Residents can't even have hanging plants on balconies or patio lights or shades during the summer. I really don't like that part of living here and it will probably be a deal breaker if I find something else I like that is affordable. I also don't like paying an extra $20 for a covered parking space which is mandatory unless you don't own a car.
I would like to point out that Tim is awesome. He understands and makes it so great. Christina is an awesome second in command. In other words management is on point. They fill work orders in a timely manner.Who more could ask for more?? We love it here!!!
My apartment complex is pretty nice but I would not by any means call it a luxury apartment. Cheapest of cheap appliances and linoleum floors do not constitute the luxurious title of Luxury Apartments. That being said, the nice thing about my apartments is the staff. The office is open 7 days a week save for holidays which is understandable. It is also open until 6:00 PM which doesn't matter much for me since I work until 6 but it is nice I'm sure for most that get off at 5:00 and can still make it to the office for their needs. Maintenance is on the grounds everyday and problems get taken care of quickly for the most part. The maintenance crew also keeps the complex clean. I have even seen one guy on his hands and knees scrubbing the hallway floor! I guess the price is alright considering I have looked all around my area and have found that there is no where close that is any cheaper. The walls are not thin either which is nice for apartment living. You wouldn't believe some of the things I have heard in the past living in other apartments. Or maybe you would believe... All in all, this apartment complex is a great place to live.
I am living in this apartment community for two years now. This is nice and quiet apartment community. The leasing office staff is cordial and quite helpful. The maintenance and service is also quick in response. There are only a few issues just like any other apartment community. This apartment community is advertised as luxury apartments. There are a few things that do not meet up this criteria though. There is no air conditioning and Portland is getting hotter every summer. The parking space is also not enough. However, management company considers its their right to increase rent almost every year. They generally increase rent straight by 20% by end of two years. I guess leasing management do not want their old tenants to stay more than two years so that they could rent it to some other family at good price.
