Situated in western New York on the cusp of Lake Ontario, Rochester holds the title of the state’s third most populous city. Touting a distinct blend of history and innovation, Rochester is filled with historic buildings turned modern lofts and apartments. The University of Rochester as well as Rochester Institute of Technology both contain leading research programs, lending to the city’s educated workforce and prospering future. Prominent figures like Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass once called Rochester home.
Even though it’s a fairly large city, Rochester still holds a small-town vibe. Rochester offers several community events that are widely attended, including the Lilac Festival and the Rochester International Jazz Festival.
The Strong Museum, Memorial Art Gallery, and the George Eastman Museum all feature special exhibits that inspire curiosity. Scenic views await at Highland Park, and residents adore their day trips to the Seneca Park Zoo and Seabreeze Amusement Park.

Property Ratings at North Shore Townhomes
been having problems with mice here for months and the only thing management does is give sticky traps that i have to clean and place. i have mice running through my kitchen, over my feet in the bathroom. management refuses to be any help even after the multiple complaints i put in
The police are here every single night. People sit in their cars with the bass as loud as possible at all hours of the night, sometimes until 3am. It’s occasionally so loud that things in my apartment shake. People are constantly outside screaming/fighting/yelling. There is garbage everywhere. My first day moving in I found several drug baggies and needles outside my apartment. The apartment itself is decent. It’s mostly the other tenants. I unfortunately am only a few months into my lease and there is absolutely no way I will stay here another year. I don’t feel safe at all. I have security cameras and baseball bats throughout the apartment and a special lock for the sliding glass door yet I still feel unsafe due to the behavior of other tenants. HORRIBLE complex. If they got rid of the rift raft it would be a lot better. Don’t expect to get a decent nights sleep while living here.
The parking situation is absolutely terrible. Don’t plan on parking anywhere near where you live. Plan on parking in the middle of a dimly lit parking lot dragging your stuff with you. Very cheap material used everywhere in the townhouse and nothing will really stay clean. As the summer approaches prepare to deal with loud people in the parking lots. It’s also almost June and the back yard dividers are still not up.
Property Manager at North Shore Townhomes, Responded To This Review
We are sorry to hear of your concerns, if you could bring these to the direct attention of the office, that would be great. The backyard dividers were not promised by any certain date, these may still be installed at some point in the future.
This is still the same people as Snug Harbor. I've called the police every weekend so far. Drug dealing, partying til 3am. If u have a family or looking for someplace quiet, This is NOT the place. It's sad they are trying to make it nice. Need to raise rent to keep the riff raff out. When lease is up, I'm gone.
Just moved in happy with the townhome. Holli has been responsive and nice. Plenty of room. Clean, comfortable and affordable. Everything works, patio is clean and walkways are clear. Happy to be here. Looking forward to renting.
