Property Ratings at North View Apartments
Please do not live here y’all. They are overcharging for apartments that are broken down. I’ve been living in an apartment with multiple unusable utilities and maintenance will not and cannot fix the issues until we are moved out and we’ve already been moved out of an apartment due to damage once. Cannot keep property managers because these apartments are so bad. Don’t live here.
The surroundings are safe, quiet, close to nature, close to shopping stores and freeways. Very good price.
Most unprofessional leasing company I have 1 dealt with. We dealt with their subpar apartments and absolutely no upkeep but after we left they overcharged us and charged us for months we didn't even live there. We will never deal with this company again without a lawyer.
I've been here for 5 months and that have cute spacious one bedroom apartment, but there are so many issues that fall along with these cute spacious Apartments and mainly the all electric units that they have has original windows from the 70s that panes of glass keep falling out and they won't do anything about it I have water damage in my living room my bedroom and my bathroom there is mold in my bathroom that they will not take care of. my toilet does not work properly and they will not come fix it. My refrigerator was leaking and so we called maintenance and they didn't come do anything until we called emergency maintenance because we couldn't keep control of the water while I was at work. The office manager treats residence after they already have their keys like complete and total trash he is extremely sarcastic and extremely rude I went in there to get my second set of keys that i was promised to me on my lease and he through attitude at me saying that he'll pull his maintenance away from what they are doing to go make me keys and they still didn't give me keys for another 2 weeks. I have talked to them about the electrical issue that I have in my living room. if I plug in anything into that outlet it shuts the whole entire living room and kitchen off and they wont do anything about it they haven't even come looked at it I would strongly suggest not coming here with the current management that is running this place. Multiple apartments around me and other apartments in different buildings around me are having extreme issues with rats, mice, roaches and other infestations that are completely disgusting I am planning on leaving at the end of my lease I've not done anything wrong to be treated like trash I come in there even with an issue that maintenance or that I'm having with my apartment calm and collected and I do not raise my voice and I do not cause a ruckus, I'm not rude I completely understand that maintenance has other things to attend to not just my apartment but when it gets to the point that we do not hear back from maintenance nor the office about any of our calls that or they just make excuses why they left my apartment a mess after trying to fix the air conditioner or when maintenance left my apartment unlocked property manager did seem very concerned about that but nothing else has been done about it please when you're looking for a place to live talk to the neighbors
Hallways filty poor managment and the new management is worser than the last no human can stay there longer than lease. Never in there office worser than the hood this is a apartment trailor park.
I have lived here several years and was so frustrated a couple of years ago, I had started looking elsewhere. Then I found out that the complex had been bought and decided to be fair and give the new folks a chance. So glad I did! They have been working hard on the place from the first day they took over and it's like being in a new complex. And not just the buildings and grounds, but also, moving out those tenants that always trashed the place and acted like the rules didn't apply to them. They simply made it uncomfortable to feel safe to even walk outside. No more! And though, by management's own words, there is still more to be done, it's so enjoyable to live here now. Tenants visit outside with each other, help each other and just enjoy each others' company. As a last comment, I suggest you take the poor reviews with a grain of salt, as many of those who left, did so with anger and wanting to take revenge. As for myself, I intend to stay and enjoy for some time to come. Sharon L.
I have been here for 4 years. I was looking to move, however, decided to stay. Moving is no fun. I am 58 years old and divorced. The place is quiet, and while I have needed very little work done to my apartment, when I have, it has been done by the next day. There are like 10 or 11 buildings here. They have been doing work constantly in the last 2 years. Some of it, not sure why. They starting painting all the hallways, I thought they looked good before. They changed the color I think to match the new carpets. The main thing important to me, the rent. I just renewed. The rent is not the cheapest, but no where near the most expensive. I looked around. Before here, I lived at another complex in Salem. They are all the same I think. For me, I feel like its a good deal for me at this stage in my life.
Ive been in my apartment for 7 months. I moved in during the summer and I had no AC. As of right now its January 2016 and I just found out my heat doesn't work either. Not to mention the numerous other problems I've had such as Moldy bathroom smell, Oven not working properly, Light above the oven not working properly. I will tell you one thing, they fixed my dish disposal and that was it. They are adding new features to the buildings like new windows, which is cool, but when I cant even get my heat to work maybe they need to focus on smaller goals not such big ones. The only plus side is that the manager is super nice. So she will make you think everything is about to get fixed and it will go right into file 13 like the rest of your requests.
I lived at the Northview Apartments for about 3 years. In my opinion, if you're looking for somewhere cheap and temporary, then you've found the right place - allow me to elaborate: The walls are paper-thin, the residents do not abide by any rules of respectful "co-existing" and unless you're a heavy sleeper, you will constantly be plagued by the shrill squeaks, pops, and creeeaks coming from the neighboring apartment's floor (your ceiling). All-in-all though, the manager and staff were great and friendly people, BUT they were hardly ever at the office to help out with your needs, and even more rarely, they never adequately followed through with taking care of complaints/concerns.
I lived in Northview a few years ago when it was managed by someone else and i was not satisfied with any of the service they had. I could never get a hold of the landlord, i had to be them to exterminate my apartment every few months, whenever i had a maintenance issue it was like pulling teeth to get someone to help. It was a horrible experience. I have been gone from there for about four years now and i have the pleasure of returning to these apartments which are now managed by someone else. Someone whom i can honestly say puts her residents first. She knew how quick i needed to get a place and she jumped on it and got me in within two weeks. The apartment i moved into was very run down before i moved but management and maintenance got it cleaned up and fixed within just a few days and now the apartment looks AMAZING!!! They are on top of their game and are willing to do whatever needs to be done to keep their residents happy. Karen has kept me up to date on all progress and was very easy to talk to about the move in and any concerns I had. Her and her team are working very hard to get these apartments fixed and looking great! I am very proud to be able to live in this apartment complex, they offer so much for my kids including a playground and the pool. Not to mention they are located right by the greenway. I would recommend anyone interested in an affordable and quiet neighborhood to look into these apartments.
