Situated at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Central Virginia, Charlottesville is a fiercely modern city with a reverence for the past. Property Ratings at North Woods at The Four Seasons
The maintenance team is nice and the office staff tries when they actually have staff. But they blame MSC for their horrible parking policies. The worst parking system anywhere in Charlottesville!!!! Limited “guest spaces” and you have to have a guest pass to park in a guest spot! They require individual guest passes daily!!! What happens when the office isn’t staffed or there is an “after hours emergency” and a friend or family member comes over after midnight? How about when you finally meet a guy and he surprises you by coming over unexpectedly to your over priced apartment for some late night__________ (it doesn’t matter because it’s supposed to be your private home that you pay for) ……..THEY GET TOWED!!!!! And the ACE towing didn’t show up at the lot they just towed him to for over an hour after he was towed!!! THE WORST, MOST INCONSIDERATE PARKING system ever. I am so embarrassed ?? and now I am stuck in a lease that didn’t have this parking system when I originally signed. This is so embarrassing and sad that you can’t have anything in life unplanned occur after midnight or THEY WILL TOW! The apartment is already way overpriced for what you get. I would never want anyone that I know to live at Northwoods. The only reason for the 2nd star ?? ?? is that the one maintenance guy is the nicest person and he gets a star on his own.

Nothing is truly fixed they only put a band aid on issues rather than fixing them. Don’t expect any help from the office as they don’t really care about their residents. The place is old and want too much for rent built in the 1960s it’s poor electric and plumbing.
- Dirty upon move in - Several leaks - Unsafe (lots of problems with people opening cars in the parking lot) - Poor management - Non-renovated units are crumbling: sagging second floor, patches of wood on the walls, bad paint, creaky floors and carpet - Water damage - Expensive DO NOT RENT FROM THEM.
These are the moldiest overpriced apartments. We had to throw away our items because they got infested with mold. The management doesn’t care and will lie about it. If you live below anyone, be prepared for so much noise. There must be absolutely no sound proofing between the ceilings and floors. Save your money and rent elsewhere. These are not worth it.

Many units have mold. Old appliances and walls are crumbling. Poor management. Submitting tickets for repairs can be up to 2-3 months until they reach you. Trash is everywhere. Not to mention the expensive price tag. It wasn’t like this 4-5 years ago. Seems like this place lacks a sense proper humane conditions. The only thing this place have going for itself, is decent location. Renters beware, it’s not sunshine and daisies.

Tyus, we're sorry to see this review. It certainly does not sound like you are describing our community. Our maintenance team is prompt, our property grounds are well kept, and we have no mold reports. We looked for your name in our files and don't have a record of a Tyus living at our property currently or in the past.
We lived here for a year, and we only left because we moved out of state. This was a great place to live. I loved that each apartment had its own outdoor space - especially because we were lucky enough to have a completely gated area, which our puppy highly enjoyed. The rent was reasonable (though it seems to have gone up a bit in the last two years), and the scenery was great. I haven't seen any other apartments so far that have as many sidewalks as this place does, but it's such a great feature. There are a ton of dumpsters everywhere, which makes getting rid of garbage easy. It's close to shopping, and the bus stop is right there. The office staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I didn't realize the extent of my love for this apartment complex before I moved and realized how much I had taken for granted. The area is always clean. It has a homey feel to it. There are pet waste trash bins everywhere, which makes cleaning up after your dog so easy. The only negative thing I have to say about this complex is the way they handle lease renewals. Our lease said we had 60 days before the end of the lease to make up our minds. Their website said 60 days. The piece of paper with lease renewal options said 60 days. Yet they kept insisting we tell them at 30 days. This wouldn't really have mattered if we weren't waiting to see if my boyfriend's contract would be renewed or not, so we really needed the extra time, time we should have gotten because that was what the lease agreement said. Perhaps they have changed the information on their site/leases since then, but that was a big problem for us, and that is why I am docking one star from the review. Other than the lease issue, this was a great place to live. I would highly recommend it. If we ever moved back to Charlottesville, we would be coming back to this complex.
I've been a resident for several years and out of the few I have lived Northwoods is by far the best community. The location of the property makes it convenient to just about everything and the leasing office staff are great to work with.
I have lived here for almost 3 years. I have lived in many apartment complexes over the years and this is the absolute best. The office staff and maintenance workers are all very professional and yet very friendly. The complex is very family-oriented and pet-friendly. Any maintenance issues are immediately dealt with. Definitely worth every penny of the rent!!
By far the best place to rent from they are respectful and very responsive. Having young children in the home and having the smallest issue and they treat it as its an emergency can be no better feeling. :) the ladies in the office to the maintenance crew (all of them) they do an outstanding job.
I have lived here for almost 5 years. Maintenence is wonderful and the office staff is caring and great. The community is nice and well kept and I feel safe here. I love all the events this community holds for us! They are top notch!
