Fort Wayne brings the community together for a bevy of special events, including BuskerFest, Johnny Appleseed Festival, and the Three Rivers Festival. Fort Wayne residents also congregate for a variety of athletic events, but especially for Tin Caps home games at Parkview Field.
Ample green space, trails, and parkland provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor recreation in Fort Wayne in addition to the Maumee, Saint Marys, and Saint Joseph Rivers, which all converge in the city.

Property Ratings at Northcrest Gardens
I lived at Northcrest Garden Apartments for 2 years and overall it was a pretty good experience. The apartments are very nice and spacious. The staff was always incredibly helpful. The office lady, Ashley, was absolutely wonderful. She was always prompt in her responses and kept in contact anytime I had any kind of issues. The maintenance team was always very helpful. I never had to wait long to have anything worked on or fixed. The entire staff was very friendly and accommodating. The location was also very convenient so that just about anything you could need was within a 15 minute drive. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice environment to live in. I enjoyed living there.
Northcrest Gardens has seen many changes in the 9 years we have lived here and almost all of them have been great! The office staff started out "okay" but ever since Ashley came on the scene we have always felt like our concerns were addressed kindly and also she's just nice to chat with when walking by the office occasionally! We love out neighbors, though they also have come and gone. The new playground has been a wonderful addition for our grandson when he visits. We used to have to wait ages for maintenance, but in the last 2 years that has made a vast improvement and now it is very speedy indeed! I was sad that our pool hasn't been open the last couple of summers due to issues, it is a nice little oasis and I hope they can fix it by next summer! Having the washer and dryer in the unit is probably my favorite feature for an upstairs apartment, besides the balcony! Great little, reasonably priced units!
My family and I lived here for 5 years and we loved it. Our maintenance requests were always done punctually. The play ground area is ideal for kids and my daughter loved it!
I lived here for 6 months while finishing up grad school and I loved it! It’s extremely affordable, even with a short-term lease. Maintenance is very efficient and quick to respond to requests! Ashley in the leasing office is so kind and caring and helped make my time here incredible. It’s very dog friendly to ALL breeds and I always felt safe walking my dog day or night!
Lived here for 3 years. Internet is decent, during winter they do a good job cleaning the roads, and property manager is responsive. Also, stores like Walmart, Aldi and Glenbrook mall are close by.
I loved living there. Everyone that works there are Very Nice and Personable. If we had a maintenance problem they were right there. And the cable and internet connection was great. Ashley, manager of the property, is the most Sweetest, Knowledgeable, and Caring Person. Had I not bought a house I would still be living there! I highly recommend Northcrest Garden Apts.
We loved living here. The complex was quiet and the apartment itself was in good shape. The manager who worked in the leasing office, Ashley, was incredibly sweet and helpful when it came to anything. Our apartment hardly ever needed maintenance and when it did, they were very accommodating and speedy.
A good place to start out on your own. Affordable living and comes with all the appliances you'll need. We had a few issues there, but they got resolved. Ashley was very helpful in the office.
I highly recommend Northcrest Gardens Apartments, especially if this is you're first time living alone out of college or new to Fort Wayne. Couldn't have asked for a better experience living there. The area is quiet, very little to no noise. The apartments are very clean once you get them and are a perfect size. I also rarely had any issues with any of my appliances in my 3 years there and if I did have a problem maintenance quickly fixed the problem. Absolutely loved my time living here and would definitely recommend anyone looking for an apartment to look at Northcrest Gardens Apartments will never forget all the good memories I made there!
I can highly recommend Northcrest Gardens Apartments. The office manager, Ashley, was direct with all the information and very helpful through my moving process. The complex is very quiet and all issues my neighbors were polite. My apartment was very nice: new washer and dryer and appliances. Requested maintenance on an item that I damaged, and repair was make promptly. All of the apartments on the northside of Fort Wayne are comparable in costs, so check out the reviews. Highly recommend Northcrest Gardens Apartments!
Having lived here for almost 30years..I would hate to move..it's close to shopping and nice restaurants, office personnel is very helpful and accommodating, nice and quite, good neighbors, praying the rent stays within reason, problem only once and it was resolved quickly and peaceful..Ashley is wonderful in solving any questions..thankful for being able to live here this long
The office girls are so kind and so thorough. They are always there to help and always know me by first name. The very little maintenance I did need was done quickly and even the maintenance man was so pleasant! My apartment was so clean when I moved in and it really felt like home. I’ve lived in several apartment complexes and this one is by far my favorite! 5 stars honestly isn’t enough for Northcrest Garden Apartments! I highly recommend this property!
I liked this place while I stayed. Office staff was friendly, maitnance quickly fixed the few issues that I did have. Pool was nice and clean. Rent was a little pricey and it went up before I left. But all of that is not worth the bogus bill they're trying to charge me with after I moved out. They waited over a month to send out anything, I moved out May 31st and am just now getting the letter on July 10th and the letter is stamped for July 3rd. Then they are trying to charge me for $2500 in carpet replacement for a 2 bedroom, that DID NOT need done and I highly doubt they actually replaced it. And to top it off they conveniently took my entire $100 deposit and $25 pool pass deposit by charging me for cleaning the range for $55 and the washer/dryer for $60. I have pictures and video proving that the carpet did not need replaced, I will go to court if I have to. Also there's a bogus "please forward the payment within 5 days" um yeah, cus I can totally come up with $2500 within 5 days to pay for some carpet that didn't need replaced. Yes that is part of the contract that you sign when you first go into the lease, but I was not expecting them to try and charge me for such nonsense and of course I'm not going to dish out $2500 for something I know and have proof of that wasnt messed up. RENTERS BEWARE! Do not rent here unless you want them to charge you over a grand when you move out.
I lived there four years and never had any problems. Very quite Community. There always updateing something so it’s always looks nice. And the size of the apartment are good size for the price. Has a pool and if they still have it free golf too
I moved in last year with my family in a newly renovated apartment. It had lots of windows, great view and friendly neighbors. I would recommend these apartments!
Great place to live close to everything in Fort Wayne. The pool is awesome, and we had a ground floor apartment that had a really huge patio with a vinyl fence close to the office. Michelle is a super nice manager! We highly recommend this apartment complex. Jay & Ashley
This is my 2nd time living at Northcrest Garden Apartments, location, location, location. I loved all of the updates the new owner has done to the apartments, the pool is so nice and clean and never crowded. I would recommend anyone looking for an apartment to check out Northcrest Garden apartments. The office staff is great and very helpful and maintenance is right there any time you need them.
My experience at Northcrest was great.I had really nice neighbors and the rent was fair. Michelle Spencer does a good job attending to the needs of the residents. They have a good maintenance guy there named Scott that does quality work and is never late whenever i called and needed help. I recommend Northcrest Gardens to anyone looking for affordable living.Sincerely Eric M.
This Lawyer/Landlord is the cheapest person in the world. Poor maintenance crew and nothing can be done without owners approval. If you donhongo there read the lease there is alot your going to pay out when you leave. He makes you pay for carpet cleaning for the next teanent. Like i said the place looks good on the outside but be very careful. He owns 5 other properties. Just not a good place.

The turnover rate is so high here, people move out as fast as they move in. Prospective renters are fed a pile of lies to get them to move here but once they find out the truth they are gone after their lease is up. You can bet the previous reviews were written by employees of Northcrest Garden. Once they get you to sign a lease, they will find a way to suck money out of you. They have driven longtime tenants out so they can renovate and charge more for the apartments which aren't all that spacious. Added to the rent is the water and sewage which they overcharge for. Everything is electric so you will have a huge electric bill, particullarly when it is very hot or cold. Don't say I didn't warn you.
This apartment complex is like no other in this area , it is a secure environment with round the clock video surveillance , yet minutes away from everything Fort Wayne has to offer . Under new ownership , they have upgraded each apartment , making them more energy efficient , or green . Very nice pool and well maintained grounds , courteous and polite staff .
I have lived at Northcrest Garden Apartments for 8 months now. When I moved in the apartment was clean with new carpet, freshly painted and new appliances. The rent is reasonably affordable. The apartment has a lot of space and the bedrooms are big. I have a 2 bedroom 1 1/2 bath. I've only had to call maintenance once and they were quick to get the issue taken care of. The area is safe I've never had any problems. It is located near shopping, restaurants, schools and freeway access. Overall I really enjoy living here and would definitely recommend it.
