Northeast Philadelphia is a large, mostly residential section of the city positioned a few miles outside of Downtown. With its abundance of affordable apartments and rental houses, the “Great Northeast” is a popular area for budget-conscious Philadelphians. The community’s most famous attraction is the Philadelphia Mills, a large outlet shopping center that also houses a major multiplex movie theater.
Dozens of public parks of every size give the locals ample opportunities to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, particularly the huge nature preserve surrounding Pennypack Creek. Convenient access to SEPTA service, Interstate 95, and Northeast Philadelphia Airport make it easy for folks to travel across town or across the country.

Property Ratings at Northeast Apartments
Best move I ever made! Staff is friendly, helpful and on top of everything, they go over and above to make all of the residents happy. I have lived here three months now and highly recommend 1 of the buildings
I've been living here for 4 years and very happy with the staff and the size of the apartments.
I've been living here for 6 months with my fiance and we are very happy with this place. For a one bedroom, we have so much space that we don't feel closed in or on top of each other. The kitchen is huge too which is great since we love to cook. The bedrooms are great with two closest and could easily fit a king size bed! Staff, especially Elsie, have been wonderful and helpful.
Just took a tour and was shocked by the size of the unit. They do look to make sure I have good income and credit but overall I was impressed.
Windows are so old, if it’s cold outside it’s cold inside, the heat can’t keep up, just stand near the curtains you can feel the cold air come in. Maintenance is horrible, if you get someone to come out they will half fix or cheaply fix whatever broke.
Scheduled a tour and I called to confirm before I left. When I got there the apartment was off the market.
Don’t do it. The property manager is very rude and the front office is no help. The renovations look ok initially but these place is poorly built. Also heat should state not included as when it gets below 40 the apartment is freezing.
Looks are truly deceiving after a month of living here you can tell they did a poor and quick job with renovations. The walls are paper thin and the office staff are very rude. The apartment is very loud as you can hear the busy street of you even crack the window. I can not wait to leave this place. RENTER BEWARE. CHEAP. Not worth the money.
The renovations look nice but are cheap and you will be able to tell after a few months of living here. The Windows are very old and you can feel the wind coming in from the outside. You have to turn the TV up to be able to hear over the wind during the day. The building owner is very rude and does not fix anything or will give you the run around unless you argue them down.
They have multiple buildings but have only updated some. Please if you consider moving here ask to see the building on Algon Ave and just look at each floor to see how much management doesn’t care about the tenants. It’s a disgrace.
Heat it s not that warme the custmer service bad and now the prices getting to hight compare to the size of the apptment...the manager very rood and he dont care for renter . He seem like not a proffessional im very dispointed with theme.
I have been living in one their buildings for 13 years. The rent cost for the size of the apartment cannot be matched by any other apartment I've seen so far. The bedroom is practically the size of a hotel room. That is the only reason why I stayed this long. Maintenance is okay. I've been waiting for issues to be resolved for months. I was surprised with the recent rent increase since over the years it has been very reasonable. This year it went up $75.00 extra. I suppose it was due to the lobby and hallways being renovated which looks nice but I would have rather had my unit updated. I have no energy to complain any further about getting repairs done so I've decided to move. I will miss the large space but a change of atmosphere and an updated apartment can be a good thing.
Amazing staff Beth and Ayn is the best. The units are very large.
Location is key. Whatever you need or want isn't too far. Restaurants, shopping, pharmacies, markets, etc. There are several options for each within minutes-even using public transportation. As for the apartment, not many complaints. Friendly area. Decent size for the money(I've seen many smaller units for more). Heating can be a bit of an issue in the winter but mainly because windows need updating. Building maintenance is responsive and they're usually pretty good getting issues resolved. Laundry and trash rooms on each floor. Overall it's a strong average. Being here a decade I guess speaks to something.
I've lived at northeast apartments for almost a year now and it is my first apartment. I have had no problems. Heat keeps me warm in the winter and the built in ac keeps me cool during the heat wave. I also love that they have community activities with the other residents such as games days and trips to the casino!! Everyone from the residents to staff are very friendly. Being a student I also love that it's in a pretty quiet neighborhood so I can do work. It's also close to plenty of shops! :)
